I think it's wasting time when you play in air drops, many of them do not pay, even if they pay a price, it's useless. They do not even have any value and are quoted on stock exchanges
I am and an avid fan of airdrop when i started here in bitcointalk they seems to be legit and you can earn some good cash from airdrop for example the blue hydro and hat ebtcs but recently most of them are now scam they are just using the advantage of airdrop to attract more people to join in their own telegram for bounty purposes.
It also depends on what you mean by a scam. If the pay is very little and you can't cash the money out then that airdrop was not a scam. 
The title of this thread is bit provocative, but the fact is that most people have a bad experience with airdrops. According to several airdrop hunters I spoke to, the majority ICOs don't pay out at all.

So many people I heard say that doing airdrops now is naturally a waste of time.

Totally agree , it is very difficult to find a good airdrop that have not thrown and paid well , I think 1 out of 500 gives you about $ 100

I have repeatedly received airdrop tokens, and it's not fraud. I get money from the airdrop.
Be careful with your opinion which I think is not fundamental at all, not just because you register airdrop several times and do not get anything does not mean you can conclude that 99% airdrop is a fraud.
Nowadays so many airdrops and even ICO are scams so I suggest following bounty and airdrop platforms which work as intermediate so there will be low risk compared to direct join on airdrops.
Yes, there are a lot of scammers at the moment. Now we must be very careful when investing in new projects. But I hope that soon the situation will improve and there will be more quality projects.
When I first started doing bounty companies, then of course this stuff was not. Since the beginning of this year, everything has changed scams became more and pay less. So I'm a little disappointed, because I spend a lot of time, and get in return less than expected.
In my opinion not all Airdrops is bad but yes i agree with your statement that most of Airdrops doesn't pay out or turn into scam still some airdrops are worthy that's why I always do airdrops even though I know that either I don't get reward or I'll get little reward.
yeah most of the airdrops are worthless because the coin amount is very low , price is very low , project is abandoned or a scam, sometimes they don't send airdrop coins. but there are some good airdrops among them , so if we want to have a good earning , we have to attend to a lot of airdrops .
Yes I think there is a lot of scams over there but not 99 percents. Maybe it is just a bad luck for some hunters? Maybe it was effect of the state of market?

Yes. Most of the tokens coming from Airdrop are shit coins and have no value in the market. It's very sad that putting much time just to participate on this will be very useless since there is nothing to be gain. 
I agree that a 99% airdrop scam besides airdrop uses a new coin coin that has not entered the market and also has not been sold or very cheap coin prices.
I recommend you not to participate in Airdrops as it's the way to get your data for some bases to sell

I think that the percentage of that is wrong. There is a lot of coins that are trying to make their projects get out to public investing though the might not of collected enough funds.
Yes, most of them don't send the money they promised. but there are also good airdrops, up to the present I have earned money from some airdrops. So, it depends on your luck.

Last year airdrops were nice source of income and this year they are totally scam, i did around 300 and received i think 4 or 5 and around 1-2$ total, so its not worth it.
if I myself have never experienced for airdrop that is not paid it might be airdrop must do kyc and you miss the information so it is not paid or not yet, and I myself disappointed from airdrop is because the pay is little and not a value for me
