I have not gotten paid on anything lately. Very frustrating. i would kill for the 2017 days again. July-Dec 2017 were the golden years for me. This summer 2018 has sucked hard for both mining and hunting.
Unfortunately, this claim is true.
90% of all airdrops are not paying tokens and 9% of airdrops are worth only one or two dollar.
Only 1% is a airdrop with a real worth, but its hard to find this airdrops.

The title of this thread is bit provocative, but the fact is that most people have a bad experience with airdrops. According to several airdrop hunters I spoke to, the majority ICOs don't pay out at all.
What's your experience with airdrops? Did you get scammed most of the times?

many victims of airdrop, this proves that airdrop is very inefficient. no need to expect much on the airdrop, it's better to do something more useful than you spend time for a useless airdrop.
I'm not sure about the % figure, but I am pretty sure that most airdrops do not gain much or even real value in the market. And so they become shitcoins over time. But of course for many of us, airdrop is the easiest way of getting cryptos since they are free. Taking the chance of building a portfolio out of airdrops may be a practical way of gaining some profit. Though not that high, it is still profit anyways. But personally, I don't do airdrops. I just don't see much benefit from it.
A fairly large percentage, has the analysis been done? Well, even though to illustrate a lot of scam airdrops, I think it's excessive. Don't spread fear, we really have to be careful. I think the small number of allocations and too many participants caused a lot of airdrops to be worthless and uneven distribution
Airdrop companies used to be happy with a profitable way to make money, but now with so many scams to participate in airdrop I do not consider it appropriate.
I agree that most airdrop Scam. But we also know that sometimes airdrop can surprise us very much. I try not to miss this opportunity and perform 2-3 airdrop per day. Now quite popular selfdrop, when you need to send to 0 ETH or a small amount of ETH (0.005-0.1).
I think 99% is exaggerated maybe about 30 - 50 % and the rest are the one that is useless or give you a token that worth nothing
Well, there are good projects , but of course rarely is one project of 100 gives you about $ 200 to me , and so is not particularly profitable

Either you are just unlucky or you dont do enough research. I have a lot of airdrops that pay me well and the coins/tokens are all tradable. Not to mention I could have a decent life wit all airdrops I have received too.
But you have to be better at researching which coin you should join in the airdrops. Thats how you benefit from them.

For all of my participation in this forum, I just hit the good Airdrop several times: Helbiz - $ 100 and NEO - 500

You can't say 99% of airdrops are scam because there are few good ones who actually distribute worthy tokens. Few among them are Helbiz, fresco etc.
With atima agree. I've done a lot of airdrops.. Were promised decent sums.. as a result, the tokens are about$50. It is much more profitable to participate in bounty companies.

I have many airdrops in 2017, at that time there were lots of airdrops that were profitable and gave many benefits. That year airdrop was booming, even though there were some that were not valuable. Well, entering 2018, more and more obscure airdrops, scams, worthless, even trying to steal your important personal data, so now I stop joining airdrop, except for the ones I follow the bounty. I think you haven't had good experiences because you haven't been able to search for a good airdrops, even though many give you tokens that are useless, that doesn't mean that they are scams, only that the project didn't succeed, that's why I prefer to do bounties, it's a bit more work but it's worth it in the end.
Unambiguously agree, now very little comes with airdrop , but I think in the future which airdrop came they will cost money
Quite funny though, I don't think 99% are scam, maybe like 60% because majority of ICOs project are doing airdrop for promotion and those airdrop are legit
The scams in airdrops are way too much. Sometimes I feel their is no need anymore for airdrops. The real ones are negligible. Others are a waste.
I agree with your idea because it really scam 99% of the airdrop projects. Do not expect to earn money from the airdrop sector. According to my opinion, focus on ICO projects that are bright future. The fastest way of wealth is through the ICO market.
This is not a provocation. This is the fact that 99% of the current airdrops are scams. I think it is too simple to issue a token, and there is no institution to supervise its authenticity. These are the reasons for the existence of scam airdrops.
