Although it was around $400k to win but after then I never go that dipper staking much games instead I would prefer just 3-10 games with small odds to win a decent amount not more than $100 to $300 if stake with $20-50.
I won single match the most. Followed by two matches. I have bad luck when it comes to three matches. 5 matches are mostly a lost bet for me. Although, this is because of the odd that I choose. If I have gone for straight win, I have not lost any match this year. It is because I chose first half win. But if I have to choose straight win, I may prefer to go for three matches and not more. I have bad luck with 4 or more matches in straight win. I win more because I do not bet frequently.
Sure one must not bet on all everytime or gamble regularly, let it just be occasionally maybe twice a week or 4 in months with this you can be able to control your loses and choose wisely the games to select or not. You know when you don't always gamble it gives you that chances to carefully chose games to bet on and when you choose not much but 1-3 then your winnings are sure and this would depends on the options which you picked. Of course I have also reduced my style of picking games, after my last experience I decided to readjust the way I do my selection to suit me and give me more winnings.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
I have done it several times in the past on betting sites but I lost all, but I used small amount of money. The chance that I can win is little.

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
I can not collapse.
I haven't seen any amount that would make me collapse because I am always expectant of what I should earn or amount to win. Just as you said, before I have used small amount to place bet to win huge amount and I was eagerly ready waiting for the games to play and win all the matches but unfortunately, about 4 or 6 games terminated the match that was how I lost everything. Although it was around $400k to win but after then I never go that dipper staking much games instead I would prefer just 3-10 games with small odds to win a decent amount not more than $100 to $300 if stake with $20-50.
yes i am also like you. I will not collapse for any amount i see on my account balance. i know when i play slots or crash game there has a chance to win huge amount. so why i will collapse by seeing any amount on my account. Anything can happen in gambling.  So you have to prepare yourself mentally to accept everything. Gambling can be enjoyed only then.  Otherwise you will have to face various problems while playing gambling.

Cases of dieing before even getting to receive the amount one has won in a bet is increasing by the day with some gamblers staking to win an amount that's above what Thier emotion can carry and when they win, some faint and die instantly because they've not seen such amount of money in their account

An incidence that happened recently as shown in the picture below where a gambler collapse and later died after winning $2.5k  on his bet sparks the question;

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?

Winning or losing a big amount of money are known causes for those kind of events, and the way to prevent them is also known, which is to take care of your health and consult a doctor in the case of any issue you may detect, if this person had done that, it is likely they will be alive and they will be enjoying their win, unfortunately for them they did not do it and something that should have been a positive event on their life, became something extremely negative.

What...$2.5K win resulted in the death... can't believe in this. I would understand $2.5M rather than $2.5K which is too small sum to make the adrenaline tsunami in the body that could lead to death, I'm personally   ready to except even  $2.5B without any adrenaline flood as my body developed a damp against the stress situations which may happen in the course of gambling.

That's what bugging me too. The post says that the person won 2.5 million in Niara.
When converted to USD it's merely around $1600 which is astonishing because it's ridiculous to die for such a small amount.
I know it might not be such a small amount for some people afterall but still it's not something so big that one would die for.

That does seem baffling.....

1600$ may be nothing for someone but it could be a life changing income for others. I guess for people who are living in underdeveloped countries, 1600$ is a huge amount but not that big. Also losing a life for this amount is a very depressing news. We do not know how much desperate he was for the money and unlikely even after getting the money, he is not able to use and enjoy with that money.

Really this shows the life so much cruel for some. It’s really tragic when money leads to such extreme situations, though we know that no amount should ever put someone’s life at risk  Sad

There's no need to be upset
We have seen cases of people doing crazy things after wining a huge amount. Still other gamblers who are expecting big win too in the future are not learning from their mistakes. When we win huge in gambling we shouldn't be over excited. I know its hard for use to control the way we feel at that moment. Because it could be an amount that weve never had or dont even expect to have in the nearest future. Anxiety and recklessness was the cause of the mans death so it should be a lesson to other gamblers in the world to make sure they control their emotions when they win a big win.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
My winnings are average win because the way i gamble staking on a huge odd will require me reducing the number of games and staking with a big amount.

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
I dont think i will collapse no matter the amount. But i will be extremely full with excitement if its more than a million dollars.

that's smart, you avoid the super risky bets and bet high on things that have high odds?
have you ever lost all on this obvious bets?
it can happen too...

This is a very sad story and get to shows a lot about the need to take the psychological aspect of gambling seriously. There are many reason why this ugly incidence could happen such as the following:
  • The gambler being so poor and have not seen such amount in his life, so he couldn't handle the reality of having such money, hence the shock killed him
  • He might be sick such as being hypertensive so the shock of the winning triggered the sickness
It is therefore important we always ensure we develop the right frame of mind before indulging in gambling because it is an emotionally demanding activity that is not suitable for certain health conditions.

Let's respect this kind of story, and I believed this person got really a huge emotions towards his gambling activities with several factors that triggers his anxiety despite of overwhelming happiness during his huge win. However, we all experience deaths but that's technically a cardiac arrest due to maximized excitement and that's beyond his control.
This isn't a good omen for all who've been playing gambling, let's all be warned because of this kinda situation. Conditioning of the mind is very important as well as your health condition.

Yes, the most likely cause of death is as you said where the person was a gambler who had high levels of emotion and anxiety, I am sure that his game session was full of tension and when it turned out that he won the bet the dopamine levels in his brain increased and the person was unable to contain the very significant joy.
Actually in general I think winning any amount should be a very easy result to accept, simply when the amount of winnings is bigger then you will find it easier to accept, because after all it is a fact that everyone always likes money.

That means I am quite sure that another cause of death is because it seems he had a history of illness that is easily affected by surprising things like the heart attack you predicted.

Yes, maybe there is a history of illness that when there is a trigger it can cause the illness to relapse and eventually faint and die. Because in my opinion, no matter how happy someone is, they will probably express very happy and that can make the emotion of happiness overflow and when there is no history of any illness it might not trigger anything. Of course this is a personal perception.
Because from the story or OP's post we don't see what kind of situation is there, it is only taken from social media posts, so there is no more detailed chronology that we can see. So if so, then we will definitely have an opinion about the disease that relapsed causing death.

I agree with you that without any illness no one could die only because he is shocked or got a happy news. I probably think he must have some heart problem because such things only trigger if anyone is a heart patient. It's true that intense feelings whether shock or joy can have significant effects on the heart and sometimes may end up in such unfortunate incidents.

Strangely, people want to win in gambling and people think that those who win are successful gamblers. But who knows that sometimes these successes and wins can take ones life.  Sad How unpredictable is our life's.

Yes, not many people can hold their emotion when they win huge money and that story is one example that we read. When we are not ready with that, we may get a heart attack and can cause to die.
We never know when we can win but we must prepare for that so we can keep calm and think what we must do. We can not let the emotion posses us by over because that can make us forget to take care of ourselves.
Some people that can not accept their big win can also become crazy and that will not good for them as they will not have a chance to enjoy their winning. I agree that conditioning of the mind is very important for us so we can take control everything until we can get the money in our hands.

Well, RIP if this story is true. But it's difficult to trust anything online these days especially if there are no verifiable links to it, (we need more than just writing as you showed us) or it is not being spread by notable news outlets. Many of these guys want you to visit their pages for traffic and followership sake, it's not news as they need more audience which will translate to more money for them.

Notwithstanding, let us gamble and expect the loss/winning with a neutral mind. This will stop all these sad stories if strictly adhered to.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
I always have a neutral mind towards gambling because I've never viewed it as a primary source of income.

Quote
2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
No amount can do that to me, not even $500B. This is because I have a strong mind, nothing infests it just like that.

3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?
Source.
You should rather talk to yourself, there is no way out here, and you will still receive the good news one way or another. The best bet is to prepare your mind for it, let the mind be strong or remain neutral about winning (not weak). Let us learn from bad instances like this and choose the right path of being strong for ourselves and our family. This is a good news, so why allowing it to end with sorrow?

This is clearly a lack of emotional control, over excitement can also increase your chances of getting a heart attack because of the shock it comes with, it's quite sad that he didn't get to enjoy his money. Stoicism is the best way to react to something like this it doesn't matter how poor you are learn to take control over your mind. And that was a very small amount compared to what others are winning, gambling is 50/50 you can either win or lose, no matter how crazy you think the odds are there's a possibility of the games actually going your way. So be careful what you wish for

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?

I'm ready to win any amount but of course I realize what is the maximum winning amount that I may get especially in slot game.
All gamblers should be ready for any possible result, not only the loss but also possible huge win especially when it comes to a game where winning huge amount is possible such as lottery.

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly

Because I've said previously that I'm ready to win any amount, I dont think there is an amount that will make me collapse instantly.
I'm a type of gambler who always try to learn about the game first including the maximum possible depending on my bet size.

3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?

Knowing about the game before playing especially the possible win amount such as jackpot, this way we have something in mind that we may win it if we are lucky enough.
But of course, it should not be used as a target which may force us to play more and more just to chase the jackpot while we forget to control our money management.

This is absolutely shocking and very sad indeed, this is not the very first of such cases i have come across, but this seem to be the most shocking for me since the amount involved isn't even that much high when compared to other cases I've seen in previous times, I mean, how much exactly is 4.2 million Nigerian naira, which when converted to dollars is around $2500?, this possible shows how poor the dude must have been, it's really sad that he didn't live to enjoy the money he possibly laboured for and won, and thus leaves me with one burning question..

What exactly is the essence of praying and wanting to win big when we can't even handle the emotional pressure in the form of excitement that comes with it? Op asked same but I can't just help but ask myself same again - very very sad 😔
Maybe to you, the money isn't that big to be overwhelmed or become overly excited about but most probably, the winner of the money haven't touched a million naira before which was why he couldn't contain his excitement. The truth is that many of us pray for big blessings to locate us but not everyone who wishes for these big blessings possess the emotional strength to manage the excitement that comes with winning big.
It's a sad news to learn about and even more sad that the deceased couldn't live to enjoy the benefits of his gambling. This is a wake up call for gamblers to always take care of their health especially to check and regulate their blood pressure level so we don't get such tragic news in the future.

This is the first time I hear that someone has died because of happiness of winning in gambling. We have many examples when people took decision to leave this world because they have lost and cant imagine how they going to repay gambling debts. But this case is something special. Since there is not much info, I can suppose that this person died as a happy man.

On the other hand, this story if full of sadness. Somewhere in the world people live so poor, that $2.5k is more than a life changer, as winning such amount causes emotions that kills.

I have never heard such stories either, because as a rule it seemed to me that winnings should, on the contrary, strengthen the health of any person, because it is a lot of positive emotions, the production of endorphins and the like. And I do not quite understand how it is possible to die from such a win.
Maybe it is just a coincidence, and his health was very poor? After all, we often experience strong emotions not only in a casino. We can be scared by a dog or a car. And this can be the last trigger.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
Not so, in this case maybe we should also look at the user's health history, I once read a study about the age of users involved in gambling.
So, winning big is not an emotional thing for normal people, Another problem for those who have a history of heart disease and age, maybe that is the basic reason why some people can die suddenly when they see the assets in their gambling account.

Quote
2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly.
As I said above, gambling and money are not a problem for normal gamblers, those with illnesses who cannot accept it like that, can suddenly drop.

Quote
3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?
My advice, if someone has a history of heart disease, they should stop gambling, their thoughts and health condition can influence gambling, especially winning the jackpot, just not winning can be problematic for them.
