1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?

Truth is our potential win is shown the checkout page or in our bet slip. And I can't remember betting any game that has the potential of giving me the money that i want in the future. Right now i don't think there is any amount that we freak me out, since i have seen people who have lots of money. For my age i could say that the amount am expecting is much but age isnt a limitation to how rich and wealthy one can get in this era.

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly

My knowledge on fiance has widen up. I belive i can get any amount i want if i work for it. So no amount is too big to make me collaspe.

3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?
This is funny OP, how do you expect someone to be ready for worst circumstances if they win. They should be happy to be expecting a big win instead of preparing to avoid collapsing. If one has a health issues on anxiety and mental disorder due to excitment then such person should avoid gambling in the first place.

An incidence that happened recently as shown in the picture below where a gambler collapse and later died after winning $2.5k  on his bet sparks the question;
It's rear to hear this kind of news. Though I have heard news like that but haven't seen it before. But it is funny how happiness of $2k can kill a man. I just wounder the level of poverty this person have gone through before wining this amount.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
This is indeed a funny question, I don see any amount too big or small for me. There is no amount I can win that will make me go gaga.

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
No amount.

That's sad, instead of him enjoying that money that he'd won, it's no sense anymore but maybe his family can enjoy it then.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?
1. I am sometimes emotional with my bets but if it's with an amount that's quite good, I avoid being emotional with it.
2. Surprised but will not collapse me, maybe $1M.  Tongue
3. Deep breathe and don't be overwhelmed. Remain lowkey so that no one in your circle that you've won such amount.

It's really sad that those kinds of things happen. You won, but after that, you died. It would be more fun to enjoy what you won with your family than just your family enjoying it,
but you're not with them because you don't have them.

So you are also right that we should really stay low-key as much as possible so that we don't end up with incidents like these things. It's really sad.
And I think even if we prepare for such cases if it's already our time, we can't do anything about it. This is the magic of life, you'll never know when is your last day and probably that guy has the same thought that he might live for so long but then, fate has already decided to take his life and he has no idea that it's already his last day. If the family will receive the day, at least it could help them to any circumstance that they're in or with the funeral and such. But it's so unfortunate for him that he's not able to enjoy the profit that he got from it. So, that's the lesson that we can extract from this story. No matter how high or low the profits we get when we gamble, just make sure to spend each of it to the fullest.

Reading this just reminded me of someone that died because his football team that he supported  lost when he was so sure they would do it, but unfortunately losing that game caused his blood pressure to go over the roof and that was his last breath...and I think this gambler could have had a medical condition which lead to his death and not that the winning killed him, of course indirectly the winning triggered all these events but I still lean on the medical reasons. Rest in peace player 🕊️
I also thought about the jump in blood pressure when I was reading this topic, and I would not have thought about it when I was young. However, strokes happen at an increasingly younger age. It seems to me that there is more and more stress in our lives, I don’t know why, perhaps because of social networks and the race for a better life. Of course, when betting, we must have good health, because our heart and blood pressure must be ready to withstand these constant ups and downs of money on the screen. In addition, it’s a shame that he wanted to achieve this and thought that his life would be carefree, but what happened happened, unfortunately. I would like such cases not to happen...

maybe it's not a matter of being ready to accept a large amount of winnings or not. gamblers bet to win the bet. it's just that in such cases it is clear that gamblers have some problems with their health. shocked and fainted, maybe also had a heart attack which resulted in the gambler actually falling into critical condition.

I see some gamblers vent their emotions when they win some money by screaming and jumping. maybe a little way to provide peace after seeing a fairly large amount in the account.
the expected victory should be a pleasure, not end in sadness.

is there any other source apart from this one? I am just asking because I remember a thread that was posted a while ago where it says a man had a heart attack and died after winning a lot of money in a casino but someone corrected the information and it turns out the guy just fainted and was doing okay.

in any case, if this is really true, condolence to the gambler's family, in what should have been a happy joyous moment turned into a tragedy.

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly

I don't think there's any amount of money that will make me collapse, I will only be filled with abundant joy that might make me not feel hungry on that day.

Neither do I. If the man the news is about really collapsed, it had to be because of a previous health problem he had, like hypertension or a coronary disease.

I wonder what happened to the prize after such a sudden event. In most countries I think that his heirs would be able to claim the price because even if it was for a few seconds he really won, and there is no better proof that it happened before his death that it was indeed the cause of it.

Source.

There have been many cases like this where someone suddenly had a heart attack when they were very happy or shocked by their gambling. Actually, it could have been prevented if the gambler took care of their health, did not get too tired, did regular check-ups, and controlled themselves more so that they were not very happy or shocked when something did not match their expectations. And also how prepared a person is to accept the reality of their gambling, because usually those who have prepared themselves are more ready to accept their wins or losses, no matter how much.

I have have already made up my mind to be a billionaire and if it comes as a surprise from gambling, it makes it more easier for me becoming a billionaire because my mindset is already focused on having billions of dollars. I am already ready to win any huge amount of money.

There is no way for anyone to prepare for such because you don't know when you will hit the jackpot and hitting the jackpot is rare.

Cases of dieing before even getting to receive the amount one has won in a bet is increasing by the day with some gamblers staking to win an amount that's above what Thier emotion can carry and when they win, some faint and die instantly because they've not seen such amount of money in their account

An incidence that happened recently as shown in the picture below where a gambler collapse and later died after winning $2.5k  on his bet sparks the question;

What...$2.5K win resulted in the death... can't believe in this. I would understand $2.5M rather than $2.5K which is too small sum to make the adrenaline tsunami in the body that could lead to death, I'm personally   ready to except even  $2.5B without any adrenaline flood as my body developed a damp against the stress situations which may happen in the course of gambling.

According to the stats[1], Nigeria monthly minimum wage is just around 44USD converted from NGN currency which is equivalent to almost 5 years worth of salary on minimum wage earner.

We have different cost of living, some people view 2.5K$ as 2.5M in terms of worth due to the poverty of the country. I notice that most of this peculiar story related to gambling always involves Nigerian people that usually involve small amount of money to a severe actions.

I recently read about a news that a person kill a friend or hostage a family member just to fund gambling with not that huge amount.

we can consider the loss, but we don't know how much money we get when we are lucky, a strong sense of shock and maybe he also has a history of heart disease, so when he won a large amount he was very shocked and fainted until finally he lost his life

Wow I'm speechless entirely seeing this right now, sincerely speaking I can't see myself collapsing while in such situations cause let's just say my mind has been in it that I want to get such huge amounts but not when it comes I pass out, and any amounts can come to my accounts that I would be surprised but not to this extreme. I know that at some points the joy of seeing such money in my accounts will make one be unstable at the moment, what I mean is I'll be so shocked that I can't believe this is happening but not to the point of fainting and later death such a tragedy, now that same money he won would be spent on his funeral which is so bad and I think people with such high BP shouldn't take up such risky task if their mental capabilities can't carry the outcome.

We have seen cases of people doing crazy things after wining a huge amount. Still other gamblers who are expecting big win too in the future are not learning from their mistakes. When we win huge in gambling we shouldn't be over excited. I know its hard for use to control the way we feel at that moment. Because it could be an amount that weve never had or dont even expect to have in the nearest future. Anxiety and recklessness was the cause of the mans death so it should be a lesson to other gamblers in the world to make sure they control their emotions when they win a big win.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
My winnings are average win because the way i gamble staking on a huge odd will require me reducing the number of games and staking with a big amount.

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
I dont think i will collapse no matter the amount. But i will be extremely full with excitement if its more than a million dollars.

I no there's some kind of overjoy that comes along when you got something you never expected so sudden in your life but people need to control there excitement about something they feel it's a huge surprise. I have heard similar case in the past where a gambler won a jackpot at a local betting shop and ran out of the gambling hall due to overjoy and was immediately crushed down by a moving vehicle so cases of this nature has occurred in the past and some are not only as a result of large wins but huge losses also leads to this kind of sad experience.
Apart from winning an amount that you've never had before, I don't see any need for over excitement when a huge jackpot or amount is won, if they can't handle their emotions when a huge amount is won, why then do they stake to win a huge amount because this is basically someone who staked to win a huge amount and not by a jackpot winning.

What that is more relevant about this would be the link and not the image. Post the link.

I also see the image he presented as needless because every detail should be contained in the link provided

Died from winning $2500? I don't know if this money is too big for them or I think it's small.
But by causing her to die maybe she wasn't mentally prepared.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
Always ready to risk emotionally - even ready to accept it. LOL

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
$10M but this is impossible to win in any other game than the lottery.

3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?
You don't have a history of heart disease because if you win the jackpot it will definitely shock and be a disaster for him.

There's no need to be upset
Things like these happening is a very rare occurrence. It's possible that the man who died has used all his remaining money to bet on something and did not expect to receive that win in the end. Or, it's possible that this is the first time he experienced such a huge win which led to him getting too excited. $2500 is not a huge amount per se, but for someone who never really won something huge like that before, it is already life changing.

Personally, I don't think I'll ever be in a situation wherein I will get overly excited for a win. I may celebrate after a huge win, but all I know is that I'll never see myself getting rushed to a hospital because I overworked my nerves due to my reaction. If a gun is pointed at me at point-blank range, perhaps that is the only time I will collapse.  Cheesy

it is very rare indeed but teaches us two really important things:
1. the importance to enjoy life and be present on each minute
2. the wisdom of the stoics, never be too happy to this point after a huge win neither too sad to the point of depression or jumping a bridge after a big loss

life comes in weaves

Will I say that the gambler died due to shock or because he was not healthy before he checked the outcome of his bet. It is useless to be targeting huge amount of money that you cannot contain when you win it because it is like a suicide mission aiming big and die when such funds came suddenly. I think that all gamblers that are gambling for profit will be able to control themselves no matter how huge the amoubt they win is. Maybe, it will be an advice that those gamblers with HBP should not gamble to avoid sudden death if they win big. It's a pity that his luck brough him a huge amount of money that led to his death.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?

It’s not about the amount but rather this person can’t handle too much excitement on his gambling activity. I’m assuming that there’s an underlying issue about his health that trigger this sudden death aside from the gambling win.

None, a profit will not make me faint but maybe loss is possible if I will lose all my savings.

It’s actually a good problem. I will definitely use the huge amount to purchase Bitcoin as future investments then use the remaining to purchase my dream house and dream vacation. Hawaii!

This is really unfortunate to see, when a blessing becomes disastrous.

Such people shouldn't play in games with unexpected results like slots, plinko, lottery etc, instead they should gamble on dice, sports, and any other games that the gamblers already know the potential profit they can make.

But if we can prepares for anything that may happen, we will not affect to that.
Do you mean prepare if we win the jackpot? it's weird though lol.
