This is the first time I am hearing of someone dying out of shock of winning a large amount of money. And honestly, I think it has nothing to do with the shock itself but rather something to do with an unknown health condition that just decided to show itself at an inopportune time.

Unlucky thing to happen, ironically to a winning gambler, but it just goes to show how frail life is and how fast things can go wrong for seemingly no reason.

We do know that winning up something a huge amount could give out that shock but dying is really that too much.
Just like been said that there might be some already existing health implications.

Here are some examples which proves out that health issues are in connected on why they collapse.

Man suffers heart attack after winning $4 million at Singapore Casino
Man wins millions at casino before collapsing, allegedly suffering medical incident

Potential death is really something that could happen and this is why you should really be that careful, but actually whom had thought that you would win up?

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?
1. No, I don't bet much when it comes to betting. I usually earn more through investments.

2. I've been through something similar. I don't get emotionally shaken, so I wouldn't have a breakdown if I won a prize bigger than any money I've ever received.

3. You should prepare yourself emotionally not only for cases like this, but also take care of your emotional health, do checkups, see if you're a person who gets stressed out very easily or has blood pressure problems, that kind of thing. We should prepare ourselves for any sudden event.

Just to remind you that these events are common, I see news about it all the time.

It's actually a very funny story, people don't know that the ability to control wealth starts in the mind, he hasn't really thought of being comfortable with such an amount of money, funny enough that's what some people make on a monthly basis, for you to utilize big things properly you must be ready for it. Another important thing to control is your emotion, in gambling there are two things involved it's either you win or you lose, controlling your emotions when you win or lose Is of utmost importance. Well, maybe the guy had underlying health issues
I’m sure the relatives of the deceased will not find any of this funny. A man died prematurely, probably leaving behind a family and you think it’s funny? Its easy to talk about discipline in theory, the reality is that a person who hasn’t seen that kind of money in his account before will be shook by the thought that his finances has improved significantly.

I’m concerned about how the relatives will be able to access the winnings if they can’t access his phone or his betting account. What could be g it's a requirement for claiming the winnings in such situations.

And I think even if we prepare for such cases if it's already our time, we can't do anything about it. This is the magic of life, you'll never know when is your last day and probably that guy has the same thought that he might live for so long but then, fate has already decided to take his life and he has no idea that it's already his last day. If the family will receive the day, at least it could help them to any circumstance that they're in or with the funeral and such. But it's so unfortunate for him that he's not able to enjoy the profit that he got from it. So, that's the lesson that we can extract from this story. No matter how high or low the profits we get when we gamble, just make sure to spend each of it to the fullest.
When we do gamble, then there are really just that two types of people of person whose really be that having those kind of intent towards it on which to those people who are longing for profits and there are ones who do want some fun and winning is really just that in second priority. Whenever someone collapse because of some unexpected win then i could say that this would mostly happens into those female gamblers or to those who do bet on lotteries on which they are really that highly emotional on which on the moment that they've been able to experience out huge wins or something that they didnt able to get a hold into their entire life
then they will really be having that kind of reaction on which we can say that it is really that too over or something which is really that too much. Yes, we are really just that human beings that having some emotion and there's really moment that you could be having that reaction.

It is really just that hard to believe that there's someone dies about winning up big. If you do have some health implications or bad condition then you should really be that careful on things that could cause up some shock. It is really that your responsibility on how you would really be able to handle yourself when it comes into this manner on which we know that each person is really that different when it comes to self handling
specially into these conditions.
I wouldn't classify it that this mostly happen to either females or those that are bet on lotteries. Then that means, it happens for both gender, male and female as most of the bettors in the lottery are males. It's very likely that the guy has health implications and his emotion can't attain himself upon knowing that he'd won that money. I think we've got topics in the past about that if you have some health implications, it's better not to gamble at all and use that time of yours to heal and don't engaged with emotional activities such as betting because this is moving our emotions quickly and makes our blood pressure too high. Well, we have to maintain everything balance, our gambling activities and our health and diet.

I don't find the story funny but a miserable. When someone's life is involved whatever the story is and it ended up unhappy and devastating, I don't find it funny at all. It's true that many don't have the ability to think about being wealthy starts from our mindset but that's far from what happened to this guy. I know that if the thought is different of people and instead of working smartly to any craft they have instead of finding their fortune with gambling, the ending would have been different.

The story isn't complete. Maybe the guy has a heart failure or problem that could be the cause of his death after knowing that he's won a lot of money.

I hardly believe stories like this because why on earth will anyone die due to gamble win not lose? So surprising at same time I feel sorry. What’s more common about situations like this it’s either they never expected the win still it came unexpectedly, I came across similar stories like this the only difference is someone died just mere watching at a football match because his team didn’t win the match but I can’t tell if the person played bet earlier or what really happened. Maybe the gambler in question is suffering from a sick that doesn’t allow shock or else it might cause a great harm, not everyone is alright just because they play bet some people really need to maintain their chance and avoid certain things.

Cases of dieing before even getting to receive the amount one has won in a bet is increasing by the day with some gamblers staking to win an amount that's above what Thier emotion can carry and when they win, some faint and die instantly because they've not seen such amount of money in their account

An incidence that happened recently as shown in the picture below where a gambler collapse and later died after winning $2.5k  on his bet sparks the question;

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
I admit that there’s an amount that’ll hit my account right away, that’ll leave me in shock, but that’s the only thing that can happen, I don’t think there’s any amount that’ll make me faint, let alone die, maybe the man in question could’ve been a victim of a medical issue that could’ve possibly affected his heart, and perhaps his heart couldn’t handle the shock, hence causing him to have a cardiac arrest. This or something similar could’ve been the possible explanation to his sudden collapse or death. There are people who due to certain medical complications, may not be able to hand even the slightest shock, and this could happen to such a person.

That's sad, instead of him enjoying that money that he'd won, it's no sense anymore but maybe his family can enjoy it then.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?
1. I am sometimes emotional with my bets but if it's with an amount that's quite good, I avoid being emotional with it.
2. Surprised but will not collapse me, maybe $1M.  Tongue
3. Deep breathe and don't be overwhelmed. Remain lowkey so that no one in your circle that you've won such amount.

It's really sad that those kinds of things happen. You won, but after that, you died. It would be more fun to enjoy what you won with your family than just your family enjoying it,
but you're not with them because you don't have them.

So you are also right that we should really stay low-key as much as possible so that we don't end up with incidents like these things. It's really sad.
And I think even if we prepare for such cases if it's already our time, we can't do anything about it. I am sure that some people here must remember a similar incident some time ago which was also posted on the forum about someone who managed to win millions of dollars and eventually died because he had a heart disease and the joy of winning caused his heart disease to relapse and he died, this is a similar case where I can simply conclude that a situation that should be fun and exciting can also cause unexpected disasters.

1. Do you stake to win an amount you're not emotionally ready to receive?
A big win is the dream of all gamblers, meaning that everyone is definitely more ready to win than to lose, I have never had a really big win because usually my bets are relatively small, but if you are a gambler who has an aggressive approach with a relatively large bet amount then I think a big win should not be a disaster, unless you have a disease that can be affected by surprising things.

2. How much can come into your account at a spot that can cause you to collapse instantly
I think the answer is not much different from what I have said in the first number above, most likely you will only faint when you have a history of a disease that is easily affected by surprising things.

3. How can we prepare for cases where you suddenly win a jackpot that's huge and you know that your mind can't carry that amount of money?
I think everyone will always be ready to get money, especially with a little effort, such as winning in gambling, you will always need money to meet all the needs and desires in your life, moreover I think what a gambler should prepare is not to prepare to welcome victory, but instead, prepare yourself to accept the situation of losing with an open heart, because there are far more gamblers who are stressed or experience a slump due to experiencing defeat and not because of getting victory.

Panic arrest which is somewhat evident because hart attacks can happen at anytime when the hart because under pressure be it from an excitement, such as a jackpot of this nature, so the gambler may have hit an amount that blown out his expectations and also have an underlying hart issues which can trigger us such cardiac arrest of this nature.

But my question also is, didn't the gamblers stake the bet and seen the total potential winning, because if he already have such a figure in mind, why then should he be so surprised to have won that amount of money on the long run.

1. I can confidently say that im really that good when it comes on handling emotions on which it doesnt matter on what would be the situation will be.
2. Things that could might collapse me is on the time that i might have some health issues, Tongue but in regarding on facing up problems then i could say that it would be impossible.
3. Better not to panic when you do win up jackpot, its normal to have such reactions since we are just humans but dont overdo it.

I dont know on why there are really people who cant be able to control out their emotions on times like these on which it will really be just that not that
hard if they would really be just that making themselves having that kind of self awareness into the situation and act normally.

Not everyone is capable of processing things very normal due to some underlying health condition mostly related to cardiac so even if the news is happy news that still give them a shock that they can't be recovered from. This is nothing to do with gambling, it's all about living the healthy lifestyle and keep yourself checked once in a while because most of us are not ready to take care of our own body and definitely not wanting to get tested.

I have not found any confirmation of this news. OP, I would like to know the source. It is rare to find such news that is not covered on the Internet.

this is from a blog on Facebook and I've seen other post about this incidence that took place last Sunday. I've also searched to see if a more reputable site have blogged about it but it appears non is Available for now. The take is not only about the authenticity of the blog that posted it but on the lesson we can learn from it frequent occurrence where people hit a jackpot or win an outrageous amount from a bet and faints or die the next moment.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/5gZFivXqRRPa1EY9/?mibextid=oFDknk

I just town x3000+ recently and I had fun watching it happen and so did my wife because I told her what was happening and she actually recorded it. The winner must've got bad health which is the reason for him dying in those happy moments. Too happy.

The lesson? Let's always stay calm and just enjoy those precious rare moments. It's not every day that we are going to see a high multiplier being given to us and for the example, I think it was a parlay on sports, right? Sure, this could really make a man so excited that his heart might be fragile and he cannot take that joy that filled his emotion.
It could happen although I am doubting the one posted, but because it's a very rare thing to happen, it will be difficult to control it in that instance.
I had plenty of experiences receiving good money out of supporting ICOs before and what I did the first time I received the money was share it with my wife to check if I was reading the numbers right. It helps for the emotions not to pour in yourself only, tell someone who you can trust.

There' are lots of cases similar to this on the Internet. You read about people who gets heart attacks after they see the amount of money they made from gambling. It's not actually their fault though, most times the joy that comes with this kind of wins cannot be handled by our health. This is more reasons why it is advise to always keep your health in shape. When you are not fully healthy, you should watch what you do to avoid being in a more worst case. Gambling wins is a good thing but then I guess people will blame it now for killing the man. No one will remember what he achieved and what he would be benefiting if he were alive.

1. So far during my gambling activities i never bets using big amount of money and i was bets with the money which can afford to lost and never expect to win big from that and i have been experience to win the money which the amount is more than my initial capital but it didn't makes me so emotionally because i have realize at that time i just lucky

2. I can't answer this question specifically because until now no matter how much winning money i get but it can't make me collapse instantly but perhaps if i won million dollar of money someday then it can collapse me

3. Gets the jackpot is the dream of every gamblers in this world and for me personally i have no preparation to gets the jackpot from gambling but if someday i can gets the jackpot with million dollar of prize then i would be very happy because i never imagined about that before and if this really happend probably i would be retire from my jobs

I have been remember several times ago people at here have discuss about winning jackpot could be disaster because the person who won the jackpot is died because of heart attack and now it just happend again and seems from now on the gamblers should pay more attention to their health because it's not good when people win a lot of money but they cannot enjoyed those winning

2. Well me and my friends have joke about it, maybe winning $1 million is going to be huge for us.
3. We are all prepared that's for sure, and we could be very very happy of that huge wind fall.

That problem is that when it's time for us to be taken by our creator, we can't really do anything about it. Maybe we are just sleeping then suddenly we had this massive heart attack and die. So for me, doesn't matter, but in this case, it's just to bad to hear this one.

is there any other source apart from this one? I am just asking because I remember a thread that was posted a while ago where it says a man had a heart attack and died after winning a lot of money in a casino but someone corrected the information and it turns out the guy just fainted and was doing okay.

in any case, if this is really true, condolence to the gambler's family, in what should have been a happy joyous moment turned into a tragedy.
This is indeed a tragedy. The family have ended up losing a family member who might be a breadwinner. The next phase will be how the family will claim the big win. I hope they will have access to the winning slip and the casino willing to pay the money to the next of kin. It will be a double tragedy if the family member loses their member and also loses the money.

Too much of everything is bad, we have to learn not to overreact to any situation. We have heard stories of people who lost big and died because of shock, but winning and dying is uncommon.
