Some major news update in regards to the Nigeria vs Ghana game. While I don't wish the Ghanian team any harm and hopefully they can have their full squad so we enjoy an entertaining match but recent development have been in the favor of Nigerian. Firstly, Super Eagles receive major boost ahead of World Cup playoffs then Injury crisis rocks Black Stars’ camp ahead of World Cup playoffs.

Ghana are likely to be without Baba Rahman and Kamaldeen Sulemana for this month’s 2022 World Cup playoff against Nigeria. Both players are currently nursing injuries which could keep them out of the two matches.

Rahman and Sulemana didn’t feature for their clubs last weekend and no date has been pencilled in for their possible return. Baba Rahman last played for Reading on February 19, while Kamaldeen Sulemana was left out of Rennes game against Angers last weekend.

The match is to be played on the 25th of March so probably this players should be fit before then unless their injuries are severe. I don't have any information on this yet but I'll be keeping the thread updated with developing news on this issue.

Are you ready for the African #WCQ’s final round!

🇪🇬 🆚 🇸🇳
🇨🇲 🆚 🇩🇿
🇬🇭 🆚 🇳🇬
🇨🇩 🆚 🇲🇦
🇲🇱 🆚 🇹🇳

Who will make it to the #WorldCup? 🔥

Egypt - Senegal.
Cameroon - Algeria.
Ghana - Nigeria.
DR Congo - Morocco.
Mali - Tunisia.

It's going to be 2/2 game, first fixture kickoff will be on the 25th of March and the next 29th.
All games are been played on a single day.
No biases but I want Nigeria to qualify, and of course Mohamed Salah of Egypt.
Your thoughts, who should go through ?

Nigeria will defeat Ghana, Nigeria team have better force than the Ghana team. Nigeria team is a team I love so much because they are very determined and serious when it comes to football. Nigeria will make all effort to win Ghana. Three africa big teams I know are Nigeria,  Egypt,  Senegal.  It is certain Nigeria will win Ghana.

They shouldn't else it's gonna be a boring one, I love Mohamed Salah's pace and he's eye for goal.
If he sure gets Into the FIFA World Cup, I'm sure of seeing him displacing defender's of their position with his fast feet's.
It's gon be a great game, I hope they get a goof refree in other to avoid to long talk. My prediction is simple, Egypt wins and qualifies for the world Cup.
Mo salah is an outstanding player and he's currently the highest goal scorer in the Premier league this season. Imagining mo salah in the Fifa World Cup you know already defenders will suffer in his hands. But the chances of Egypt to win Senegal is very slim, its not going to be an easy game for both teams.

suddenly I discovered that its format is really interesting - unlike Europe or South America, all teams eventually have to play knockout matches and we see such interesting (and tragic) pairings as Senegal - Egypt. Undoubtedly, this is a great culmination of the qualifying round and it will be no less emotional than the World Cup games themselves.

Exactly, I read earlier a user complaining why we're not using same format as others, ours is more entertaining. First you get to win your group then come compete with others winners. I don't think the pairing were planned and Egypt having to play Senegal again was just a coincidence and not preplanned. African can only send 5 representative and from the groups there usually are 10 winners which is where the knockout comes in handy. Each team has two chances so it's quite a decent rule.

In other news; Goal.com: In light of the Africa Cup of Nations, and the playoff draw, Ed Dove predicts Africa’s five favourites for Qatar you can visit this link above to read about his prediction on who would represent Africa at the whole cup and some reasons why. Surprising, Cameroon wasn't included in his pick but one thing I can agree with him is Nigeria vs Ghana been the hottest of all the features.

In regards to African competition, it usually starts boring but ends entertaining so I don't expect anything less than that for the world cup qualifiers. The first games probably would be boring but as more games are played we'll begin to enjoy the competition. It's not just an ordinary game but a knockout game meaning we should be expecting a battle between the nations.

Before I began to bet more or less actively, I was not interested in the African Qualifiers for the World Cup, and suddenly I discovered that its format is really interesting - unlike Europe or South America, all teams eventually have to play knockout matches and we see such interesting (and tragic) pairings as Senegal - Egypt. Senegal versus Egypt will be a 50 50 game, you can not decided the winner's of the tournament already at this moment.
But I kinda fancy the Egyptians this time around, they should get a goal and defend very well, the fifa world Cup will be interesting and Salah will perform great out shinning those European defender's lmao
You see how good e plays in the Champions League and premier league, he can bring that to the tournament.

This time the game will be very tough, Egypt will not allow Senegal to easily defeat them like the way Senegal did during the AFCON tournament. Egypt will take this match as a revenge to defeat Senegal,  and Senegal would still want to defeat Egypt to show that they still remain champion. The game will be so tough for the both teams  and it will be very interesting.

Let hope there'll be a world cup with all the sega ongoing and rumors of Russia (Putin) reacting negatively to been kicked out of the world cup. Personally I don't think it was the right decision. Football doesn't have any affiliation with politics so why innocent footballer are getting punished for a decision (Invasion of Ukraine) that they obviously had no say at. You're trying to get to Putin and you're using innocent individuals as baits.

Vladimir Putin is out to destroy anything he can not have. I do not blame him for his reaction to the ban because FIFA did not act well by that decision against Russia. What is FIFA's business in a war between two countries? It should allow the countries solve their political issues without getting involved in it and find a way around those countries which refused to play with Russia. A diplomatic way would have taken care of it. However, I see Putin's threat as empty on that. There is nothing he can do if FIFA does not relax the ban.

I hope the African world cup qualifies can be as exciting as the African nation's cup, I must repeat it again I was impressed at that competition and it was a well deserved win for the Senegalese team.
Speaking about the African world cup qualifies I think Nigeria would use it to make amend for their outing in the Africa's nation's cup we would definitely see electric games but after all said and done. Positive Nigeria would be in the up coming world cup.

Morocco to qualify, Cameroon vs Algeria is likely a draw match but cameroon is a more promising side, Mali vs Tunisia is also likely to be a draw but Mali have a slight edge over Tunisia because of the few players playing overseas. Ghana vs Nigeria will be a tough one and it won't be easy for the both sides but i think Nigeria will win the match. The biggest match is Mo Salah vs sadio Mane, i think the match will be a full time draw.

Looking at the performances at the Africa Cup, I think:
Egypt vs Senegal: this will be a tight decision. I think Senegal will make it (again)
Cameroon vs Algeria: Cameroon will qualify
Ghana vs Nigeria: Nigeria
Congo vs Morocco: easy for Morocco?
Mali vs Tunisia: this looks like Tunisia for me.
In the world cup i think best chances will have Nigeria and the winner of Egypt vs Senegal (it is a pity that only one of them can qualify)

It seems to me that Nigeria, of course, will beat conditional Australia if it gets into the final part of the World Cup, but its peak of historical strength is long behind. In the Senegal-Egypt pair, the situation is equal, I don't think that Senegal will be the favorite, since I don't see such a strong team as Egypt losing twice in a row to the same opponent. They will draw conclusions from that ending.

Senegal is on high spirit and suffering from the trophy hangover and have built up itself to give Egypt a run-up in the match, if you give a 50/50 prediction I will not but to it but will look forward to seeing winning for Egypt because Egypt missed out of the last game just by accident and will correct that impression in this match.
Both teams still have opportunities now, especially Egypt because apart from wanting to qualify, they also definitely want to take revenge for the defeat some time ago.
But on the other hand even like that Senegal are still strong and they will not give it easily of course. I think having a trophy now doesn't make them drunk, it will make them more motivated and confident now

I see the effects of lowa standards and it worries my heart, I don't like the fact that they failed to use a backup plan for that game against Tunisia.
Alot of star players, I want to see the best this time around in the world Cup qualifies.
Ghanaian team will come with full spirit and pressure, I  see them coming to hurt Nigeria.

Since it's a fifty fifty chance, I expect both goals from both sides, more of attacking than defending, but then when you play attacking football the best defending side wins at the end of the day.

So in other words, Nigeria loses because I don't think we have defenders and goal keeper most especially as I haven't seen any outstanding performance our goal keeper has showed ever since been between the goal post for the national team. The last time we had a goal keeper that we can depend on was few years ago when Vincent Enyeama was in the goal post. Currently we just have a strong offensive side and when that get subdued we lose games as we're unable to score and defend just as we experience with Tunisia.

One positive from this whole disappointment from the AFCON is that we got to keep our national coach and not employed the service of a foreign coach as we previously enjoyed doing. We should learn from senagal, they stay with their coach for years and he finally gave them their first AFCON. African have talent and when we don't give them opportunity we kill that talent. The current coach is quite decent, we just have to give him time.

Enyeama was certainly a great goalkeeper. After him, I don't think anyone was dependable. I also agree about the positives because I think he has done quite well for the team. And if he is given a proper time he can also prove to be quite useful. Actually, the attacking side is ok and the main reason to worry is the goalkeeping and the defensive side. The midfield also needs some more tweaking.

The most previous match between Egypt and Senegal was really challenging, but suggesting that Senegal won by luck I didn't agree with that, because the Senegalese squad is extremely well prepared, has excellent teamwork, and is quite competitive. Unlike the Egypt squad, who we're all hoping will be rescued by Mohammed Sallah. Senegal will still beat Egypt, but this time it will be in under 90 minutes.
