Years of waiting is too long for us but it is the best thing to do. Yes even few months are too long to, that's why patience is the perfect bullet to hit the target. Also while holding and waiting buying can be a big help too. Wait for the right time and you are rewarded.
I do not mind to keep many of their altcoins for several years, but I think that by the end of this year the market will grow 2-3 times. Investing in the long term is currently one of the best ways to earn passive income.
I am also a long-term investor in this market but to be honest, there is no opportunity in 2019 to allow this market to increase 2-3 times. In 2019 we do not have any major events and until now everything is so quiet and not as vibrant as in 2018 
for me next important "milestone" is halfing in 2020. or bull run when rise everything. it will be superkombo if both will happend in same time.

Yes, You are right Most of the cryptocurrencies fallen with that crash. We can say all of them. I still have some altcoins wroth $500 before and $65 now. I still asking myself why I didn't sell them before. when comparing the previous price selling them now is completely worthless. In that case, I gonna hold them for few more years because of that project is good. They are active and work on their project even in these hard days.

you still have a lot of opportunities to get profit in this market situations my friend
You are right. We don't have to just patient, but we need to try to make a profit although that will be hard. We can try to analyze one by one of the coins in the list, and then we can short and make a list for profitable coins, make deeper analysis to decide to buy those coins. When you can do that, I am sure that you will make that profit and when you can rinse and repeat, you will make a lot of money from short-term trading.
I think thats the best idea in a long bear market all my altcoins that i had are preserved for the Big Bull Run

Totally agree with you, always need to watch for market situation, manage portfolio due to the market conditions, look for a new perspective projects and sell altcoins, in which you do not trust any more. Some ALTs will never recover from this crash!

Holding any coin is a very good idea. Cause holding some low cap coin can give a huge amount of profit in 2-3 years later. But there is problem it is too risky to hold that kind of token those have very low marketcap. Cause this type of token maybexit scam anytime. So whereever you invest make some good research on the coin first then go for the invest. But holding big Alts like eos cardano BNB or anything is a good choice. Cause we know when market will be in bull run this coins give not much but some sure profit. So invest whereever just do some research on your own.
I agree and think that 2019 will not be the best year for crypto currencies, except Bakkt, ETFs and Ethereum 2.0 will change the market movement. I hardly doubt that these announcements are big enough to change things.
