Unobtanium is the coin for me. Only 250,000 will be ever mined and less than 4 new coins are mined each day- there is essentially no inflation. It's merged-mined with BTC so it's blockchain is hella secure and runs around 1 pH/s.
You can check the sites and exchanges that burn coins. The overall profit may not be that good, but at the same time you may even have an old wallet or two that you mined with some of the coins that they are trying to burn. Either way these could give you a short but decent list of coins that can turn you a profit if you mine/trade and then burn them.
Ethereum.
I will count most of those votes and buy coin most mentioned, probably! 
Right now i like Diamond, Mue and DogecoinDark.

I recommend buying Dash and Eth, especially since these coins do have much trading volume. Its just buying and selling the right moment to get some profits

XEM is on the rise today. Coinmarketcap catching up to the Tokyo Stock Exchange
Yeah, I saw that. It's gone up so much, I'm now nervous.
Funny: I bought more than 3 million XEM at 67 & 68 only six days ago and bought a wee bit more at 103 to make up for the wee bit I sold at 90. And the only reason I did so, was because I saw your NEM Supernodes post and thought it would be neat-o to run my own Supernode!

I through some coin on XEM, up 50%. (EDIT) Actually looks like XEM is performing better than 65% now for my particular case. If you're a good trader (which I am not, but finally got lucky this month) there are profits to be made in ETH, FCT, and DASH. LTC may sky rocket with all this BTC splintering as well over the next 1/2 year.

It is still worth buying if you want some altcoins.
The problem with it that they are a lot of scam there is always have been new coins every month.

I want to buy some Decred when they are finally out.

-Broad interest and massive media coverage
-Will be a better code than Bitcoin today

Lots of good coins mentioned in this thread. NEM is one of the ones that has been slowly climbing CMC.
NEM has had a lot of really big announcements recently. And lots of other real world companies are announcing to work on NEM.
Since making a press release saying they will work with NEM, Sakura Internet's stock has gone from a $65 million marketcap to $340 million marketcap.

Just personally jumped in on the WARP crowdsale. They have some neat features planned (so long as they go through), a separate forum specific to the coin (shows a bit of effort on the devs part), and so far a fairly active dev who answers PM's rather quickly. All good signs in my book

Monero is ranked number 7. Has the lowest marketcap (thus valuation) of the top 10. First coin with lower marketcap is number 13! Definitely some room to grow (easy 10/20%, but even a doubling wouldn't make it expensive).
