Ethereum, XRP, LTC and any other hyped up cryptocurrency would be a good idea to invest in for short or long term profits.
From this list I will choose Ethereum. XRP is centralised, so it is not good. Litecoin is just a clone.
i have bought ethereum coin but just 5,8 ETH only. it is only for collections. i don't know about progress of ETH in the future no one knowing. 
I think 5.8 Ether is a safe investment. If it drops to zero, you will only lose $30. If the price rises to 50$, you will make $150.

For the altcoin, I would select Ethereum and Monero. Etherem is a platform for smart contract. Monero is the anonymous coin.

I would mention Decred and Maidsafecoin are worth buying. Both have very nice specifications, and volume should be rising in next days. (and price)

i don't know about XRP but i agree with the rest, going to check XRP for sure.
holding bitcoin is a no brainer and ETH has given all of us a very good month and now it is time to pull out and watch what happens next.

It's also nice the DAPPS (decentrale applications) are the same like the Smart Contracts from Ethereum, but here it's the case that you can program them in JavaScryt, what is more easy.
I expect this can be a very successful start.

I was shorting yesterday ETH at around 6 at Polo but closed to early at around 5.70.
But on the other hand I was buying today at around 5 USD, I guess this could be somehow the floor and I think prices of 10 or 15 are still possible for Ether.

Yes if the new floor to ETH is 5.If the new floor of Ethereum is $5, that is a very successful pump and not a pump and dump. I would call that value finding.

I don't know if ETH is the best option now. Many already claims that the price is so high, maybe a dump is coming. Better keep the market in your vision and once you think that the price it will be on the actual ground you could buy it
