It is really hard to know which cryptocurrency would be able to give some big growth during the time of one year because we're not sure about the situation on the market during this year. Do Golem, Nem, DGB, Siacoin have that potential in them?

Investing in the long term does not make sense especially in altcoins, this is a personal opinion, which I have tested many times. I think that for a whole year, investing in altcoins can bring big money, but only if you constantly update your portfolio.
I got for 1 year this coins; Neo,steem,eos,bitshares,kucoin this is my top for 1 year , i think any erc20 is bad investment.
The cryptocurrency market is very unstable. So if you want to buy coins for a year then buy coins with the highest capitalization.
If you see a development of last year then hold for investment one year alone can be great. but the current circumstances are different with that time and for one year it certainly will not be able to be great in quick time. so don't expect there will be a large increase for this year. at least not more than one year will be promising.
I think that in 2018 we will not see such a large growth. I am sure that in any case we will see the growth of the entire cryptocurrency market. But we will not see such big jerks. Most likely, we will see a calm and stable growth. And we will see new price highs.

It's really difficult to decide on which coin will pump its way to the top, cryptocurrency market is crowded with coins and we all know the volatility of the market. I only invest on altcoins which are on top 20 list and its risky to invest on the new one. We should be careful on what coin we will be investing, because not all of them are legit.
For now; I would advice as an experienced crypto person to stick with short term alt coin investment for alt till we have a total confirmations of bull market

Not sure how it resembles the last September where everyone was full of hope for crypto and bitcoin grew every day. Now it is completely a bear market with occasional bull traps.

I would probably now invested in EOS. This coin develops every day and perhaps a year later the price will grow several times.

Most likely it will be a failure because altcoin are more likely to exist for a quick profit. I didn't try to do that, but I will tell you that it is better to buy bitcoin or Ethereum
Chose cardano, it is a promising project it is quite known for many investors. Cardano has a very good reputation to the crypto market. I love also ethereum, today is the right time to buy this coin because its has still in low value. Onthology is on the move now better check this coin also.
If you are in search of altcoin to invest in and hold for a year, I think you should invest in ethereum because it is the best and most potential, valuable coin and also good for hold on long or short term. You can also invest in EOS, NEO or lietcoin, they are also god coin and also good for hold.
