this strategy works on EVERYTHING, from smallest altcoin that is worth 0.00000000000000001BTC to biggest altcoins that are worth 100BTC and even on more serious markets such as gold, stocks, forex,...
but the profit will be different in each of them. the small altcoins can give you unimaginable profit that the bigger markets will never imagine to give.
the trick is finding that small altcoin and investing in it at the right time which is before their pumps.
from your list, these coins are considered big altcoins. as i said you can make profit from these but don't expect big profits.
I know neo and eth are down because of BTC.. but when BTC goes up.. which will be the best to go for? ETH NEO or ADA?
Lately there are a lot of questions like this, I honestly never sold ETH in the price as now, because the price of ETH is currently being pressed due to the BTC price reduction, but I am sure one day BTC stable all altcoin including ETH will follow it

You should invest in more ETH right now, the price already reach $385 right now, it's about half of the price last month, so i think it will comeback stronger and higher soon, ETH is still the best choice for a long-term investment in my opinion.
Now the entire encryption market is a decline cycle, all the coins are falling, your three coins have also experienced a rapid growth last year. If I hold the three coins that let me choose a fast - profit coin, I will choose ADA, and technical ADA has a breakthrough. The other two are already mature.
just make sure the coins you want to get have gone down the similar or more % as ETH (from when you bought your ether) after that it's just up to you as to which crypto you think will be strong through 2018. quick profit?...I think that's a big ask at the moment.

This question keeps being asked over and over. Frankly, if this was widespread knowledge we would have been seeing the effects of it every day. But speculation only goes so far, and the insider knowledge isn't making rounds very easily.
