verge is a highly pump and dump sensitive coin, but has great potential, the thing is dont put youe eggs in one basket.
I think altcoin will have the time to become popular in this year because we have new goals that every dev and teams want to reach and I am sure that they will make it through. I think every altcoin have the same opportunity to go increase but somehow only the strong coin with good support that will really increase and reach the highest price. I think we can see ripple, nxt, xlm, waves that going to increase more especially for nxt that is dropped too far after they reach the highest price yesterday.
Regarding on the line you have posted i do really have the same presumptions among those coins which it would really give a bang on this new year 2018. We cant be sure but regarding and seeing its recent progress does signifies that it do have the potential to rise up even more. This is a new year and there would really be 365 days to see on what would cryptoworld would show us this is why the most important thing is to ride up with the waves if we do really like to earn up some decent profits.

It seems to me that in 2018 altcoins will become very popular. I hope that in the spring the most popular coins will be much more expensive than now. It will be crypto spring
Apart from Bitcoin, any other coin is an altcoin and obviously the coin after btc is Ethereum. Coin of the century..

well this is quite an easy question, can't argue with eth of course, many ICOs are using their network and smart contracts to create altcoins because we can say that ethereum has a higher trust from the community compared to others, the question is who's next to ethereum 
Vitalik alone said that Ethereum was not made as payment asset. Therefore i don't think ETH will be next BTC. BCH is centralized s**t. So LTC, VTC i mean.

I think ethereum has a really big potential for the future to reach great prices. On the other hand, I think it is hard for ethereum to catch bitcoin's price in a near future.

Actually it is not easy to find a future leader similar to bitcoin. ETH will beat BTC in the longrun. But Other crypto currencies may also find their place in the digital world. Today Monero, Verge, Dash also show their strengths.
I also like Dala token on Wala platform. I like their team and beleive they will bring this coin to a new level. They are solving problem in Africa.

Anyone got thoughts on XVG or Verge coins? McAfee was saying it could possibly hit 15 dollars within this year. But again i'm really skeptical, can anyone give me any thoughts about it?
Ethereum will takes place in second position after bitcoin. This is the altcoin with many ico's supprot. The price of ehtereum is increasing nowadays.
I don't have or either like bitcoincash but I think they are the next most accepted. Coinbase just did and it's the usual place for anyone to buy bitcoin and they will see bitcoincash as an option and some will also include bcc eventually.
