altcoin will never die, because there are still many investors who believe to investing in altcoin, indeed for now the price of altcoin has fallen very far from the ATH price, but this is actually your opportunity to invest in altcoin that you want to invest, because if the price goes back up to ATH price or even create a new ATH price, then of course you will get a lot of profit from investing in altcoin at this time.

I don't think altcoins are ever going to die. People enjoy the chance of 10000x'ing or getting scammed too much. It also depends if you call ETH an altcoin or not (I personally wouldn't but many would and that's a fair point of view).

Altcoins will die but new ones will always be invented since we have greedy people among us as creators or investors that'll always want the new and pumping trends as such they'll be scammed regularly.

Altcoins are any other cryptocurrency that aren't Bitcoin so Ethereum will always be an altcoin. There's no other description for what altcoins are. You can divide them though into coins and tokens.

In this case you can then classify Ethereum as a coins since they have their own blockchain and native token meanwhile other projects that operates on other projects blockchain are called tokens

I have lost faith in alt coin section because alt coin sections don't see a lot of price increase even though bitcoin price is increasing nowadays. AltCoin section also goes down when Bitcoin price goes down. Of the few coins mentioned here, only Ethereum grows in a standard way but unique platforms remain in front of the masses.  So altcoin sections are said to be dead.
It becomes something that is very reasonable actually, because apart from anything, altcoins clearly lead bitcoin as a benchmark, even though not all of them are like that, most of them are clearly under bitcoin. When bitcoin experiences an increase, then of course there are some of them who start to follow even though not significantly, but when bitcoin starts to fall again and again then indeed their fate will be even more inflamed and not even a few die so indeed with conditions like this it is actually quite reasonable but indeed if you still want to be there, then it is important for us to pay close attention to what coin we will choose in altcoins because not all altcoins can work well.

I got into 'crypto' when alts were pumping in 2020, money was literally pouring out of GUIs that had been built over a weekend and you could cash it all out, all good.

Since Wonderland, Luna, Celcius, FTX etc... happened alt coins have been DYING absolutely destroyed, I could have bought WAAAAY more Bitcoin. Luckily i got 75% of my portfolio into bitcoin after FTX.

I have a bunch of altcoins still that I think will easily outperform Eth and any other over inflated piece of trash during the next mega pump cycle (if there is one...) but I honestly want to just take the loss into BTC immediately to have peace of mind.

I have tried ALL  the altcoins, I will only interact with the ones pouring out money during the up market. Most of the 'top 10' alt coins are just such trash on their own, have huge centralized minters printing like crazy, and generally have 'exploits' every year which now I think is basically like taking insurance out on your house and burning it for those altcoin devs.

Anyway yea be careful unless you have balls of steel.

For example arbitrum people (founder dev connected to obama whitehouse) just airdropped tons of money onto people practically out of nowhere, Im glad to see such a thing but cannot imagine this bodes well for the underlying token which is being handed out to tons of degenerate traders. Shit is mega weird and if youre not careful you will just get scammed down the toilet by some fat guy named Daniele Sestagali.

cheers

I do think that each cycle it will change a little bit though. Freshen up the scams if you will. Originally it was altcoins. Then it was ICOs, then it was DeFi season. Then NFTs.

Next up appears to be L2s and L3s on Ethereum. But that is really hard to predict. Because if one truly knew they could front run the 1000x's. But I can say with certainly it will be -something-.

There's always money to be made with altcoins. That's because they often bring new stuff to the industry. I cannot say the same about Bitcoin (although it's possible to profit in the long term). To say the least, altcoins are the ideal "tool" for scammers to rob people blind. That's because most people don't do their own research when investing in crypto.

The trend will never fade away, but you can expect regulations to increase on the industry as governments want a "piece of the pie". Just don't go crazy putting all of your life savings into altcoins, and you'll have nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts Grin

They're not really going to increase at most times because they won't be. The market is all focused to bitcoin and even them are also focused on it.

There will be times that they'll be increasing with or without bitcoin's price increase and that's given to think of. And that's why if you're mostly invested into altcoins, you invest in bitcoin then.

We are still in the era of altcoins and if we know what we are doing we are going to benefit huge from the altcoins market because it is the major market apart from Bitcoin which is made up of the cryptocurrency market. Investing now in the cryptocurrency market will need us to know what we are doing or else we might end up buying the wrong coins if we don't do a good research. I always look for new coins to buy since the market will keep growing and growing with new coins dominating the market with crazy momentum that could spike up to 10× to 1000× and more.
I like to use altcoins for trading, but I choose not new coins for this, but tokens who have a history that I can analyze to understand whether it suits me or not. I was taught that bitcoin is good for investing, and altcoins are good for trading, this is what I follow.

I like altcoins that react very well to market movements, such as MANA and there are those that react with a delay, this gives me additional opportunities.

Watching the current market and the demise of ALL crypto ... is this the end for certain coins?

How do people think the likes of ETH, ADA, XRP, TRON etc will go from here?
Current market situation you may think that crypto or altcoin is dead but now market situation is very bad with BTC price don't want to take any project risk because now they are bringing new project and releasing new tokens in market and there Liquidity is given very less by BNP and they don't dare to get the price and the BNP price so they don't get the defined liquidity and it looks like the altcoin is dead.

The whole of 2022 has been risky for investors, especially since the dumping of Bitcoin prices. Funds are very tight now people are very reluctant to invest so the pace of the market is not very predictable. And the most dangerous is that altcoins are dying because various platforms have already declared bankruptcy, which is why investors can't invest because altcoins seem to be dying.

Altcoins are not dead but many will be dead soon, you created this topic in June 2022 and that's a bear market already, so yes all altcoins will crash because of the bear season, most old altcoins won't do well again so I advise to bounce on new upcoming altcoins, I believe that new altcoins will get proper adoption now compare to all old altcoins.

Crypto market has it's onw cycle and the last bull market we had was on 2021 and every 4 years bull market is scheduled to it. So, the next bull market will be 2025 for sure and it is also the halving event of bitcoin which adds more bull market confirmation that it will be in that year. So, accumulation is right now and ignore the fud always and continue to HODL until bull market.

in a bearish situation like today, of course there will be many altcoins that are degraded, thus reducing the list of registered tokens, among those that leave, of course, cannot survive to carry out their development, so they die. and it is precisely at a time like this that it is the right time to invest in altcoins that have experienced a deep decline and occupy the top positions on coinmarketcap, that way we can be calmer to hold them

bitcoin is about to rise back at this point of time, so those coin written above will surely rise back, and this is not the first time, it will always happen again in a gain pump and dump is normal in crypto, if bitcoin fall down there is always a rumor many people ask repetitive question like is this the end of crypto? But its not ending it will always rise back.

No Alt-coins are not dead. Like Bitcoin they are also in a bearish market. It is true that the incidents of Luna and the FtX crash etc have instilled fear in people's minds about alt-coins.  So it should not be thought that alt-coins are dead. Because alt-coins are not dead, it would be foolish to think that it will be safe for all alt-coin investments, but yes, if there is more interest in alt-coin, then he can choose the top pairs of alt-coin. Like Ethereum, BNB , Litecoin.

ETH, ADA, XRP, TRON, and other major cryptocurrencies have all experienced ups and downs over the years, but they've also shown remarkable resilience and the ability to bounce back from setbacks. Ultimately, the success or failure of any particular cryptocurrency will depend on a wide range of factors, including adoption rates, regulatory environments, technological advancements, and more. As always, it's important to do your research and invest wisely, taking a long-term view and considering the potential risks and rewards of any investment decision.

It's utility that counts. NOT market prices. Around 99.9% of altcoins will die because they're only driven by hype. But that doesn't matter as long as there's money to be made. If you want to make profits quickly, then any altcoin is for you. For serious long-term investments, look no further as Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency capable of this.

I don't think the trend will die as new projects usually take over existing ones over time. BTC cannot be the only crypto in existence, especially when it's open source. Which means, anyone can copy its code and create an "improved" version of it. With regulations coming in, we can expect a reduction in the number of scam coins and tokens in the future. Who knows how the market will look like 10-20 years from now? Just my opinion Smiley

all the altcoins you mentioned are still on the market and still being traded, in other words nothing bad has happened to these altcoins. in the crypto market prices going up or down are common because many things can affect prices in the crypto market. falling prices does not mean "dead" because there may be news that causes all crypto prices to fall or only affects some crypto.
true, it could be considered dead when it got delisted from everywhere quite literally means that the trading volume will fall heavily to the point it's have too low liquidy that could be considered dead.
if it's just losing some fraction of its value, it's just getting correction nothing more.

It is difficult to predict exactly the future of any cryptocurrency, including altcoins like ETH, ADA, XRP and TRON. However, if you look at developments, it seems that altcoins like ETH and TRON are not going to die.
Just because it does have its usecase which we know that it is really that applicable into those typical services or whatsoever that could benefit out humanity which it is really that hard to believe that it would be phased out or something that would really be ceasing to exist. Its true that we cant know on what the future looks like which it would be understandable that its up to someones risk taking
whether they would be investing for long term or would not. This is why it would be better to find for yourself on what are the actions you would be making on.
Altcoins arent dead and they do have that application which is really having that usefulness to people.
