For this kind of market which is in the bear and we will possibly facing another multi years bearish you need to hold aome good altcoin which will survive for 2-3 years. Do research which project seriously developed. And look how the team activity did. If the development still running good and have multiyears roadmap. Choose it and buy it 20% of your inveatment money for 3 years or untill roadmap is done and platform launch.
My picks are BTC, ETH, NEO, LISK and IOTA. I am almost 100% you won't regret HODLing them throughout those 2-3 years.
Any coins from top25 can be holt for such period. Very high risk have alts from depth of CMC. But 2-3 years is not so long. As I understand many VC fund make own investment with such planing horizon. Many portfolio's make own decision with such coins and conditions. Yes, crypto world have a huge volatility and life speed. But solid will solid always

I would take a look at lbry(lbc)they plan to be the next youtube and will probably need 2-3 years to succed in it so it might be just the right thing you are looking for.Among all of the shitcoins they are one few that actualy have a working product and any kind of use for it

I think that's a long time to save your coins. And like coins, NEO is very nice if you hold it for a long time. And with the strategy you hold the coin NEO, I am sure that you have a lot of advantages. Long-term strategies are indeed very good and you should be able to take the decision correctly.

Currently my alts are REBL PRIV, MAN. Long term I plan to hold just BTC, ETH, LTC, MAN since I've realized that I prefer long term investing over trading.

I believe that 2-3 years is a long time for forecasts on the crypto currency, I would consider holding coins for a period of 6 months to a year, but not longer. For hold you can buy almost all top coins, including XVG, OMG, NEO 
I have not heard anything about the coin MONERO a long time, do you think if you invest in this coin for 1-2 years, it makes sense?
I think this is an excellent choice, but you can add coins like Ethereum, Bitcoin, Zilliqa and Quarkchain. I am sure that they have a very good future too! I would also invest in anonymous Monero or Zcash coins.

I am holding a huge stack of NEO, ADA and Litecoin, I see these are long term holds and great returns
I would advise you to invest in ethereum and bitcoin, because ethereum and bitcoin will be the most promising and safest investment. By holding ETH and BTC for the next 2 years of course this will have a chance to profit from the that investment, and I believe even though the current price of ETH even BTC is decreasing but in the next few years it will experienced a significant increase. You can expect itss price to double itself in coming years.
in my view, in case you are looking for altcoin to put money into on long time for that range or time, i will like to suggest which you spend money on ethereum, neo and perhaps EOS because this are very capacity and solid coin and they may be precise for hold on long time.
If you are patiently holding on for so long, I guarantee you will never lose. And you often track prices during this time, if you are ok you sell them out.

Most of coins should achieve growth when you will hold them 2-3 years. Especially now when all prices are really low, if you need something really good choose something from top 10. Ethereum and bitcoin will be the best, neo will be profitable with its technology so choose from these coins
Holding alt coins for at a stretch 3 years is nt adviseable the period is long to predict the future of any coin best formula is when the market pump it is better to sell the coins
