I think this is a great idea you would have make very good profit by then. I would like to suggest lympo because it it is very active now and with only weeks it already move up how much more of 2 - 3 years. The dev team are so active you wont regret it and by the way I am not part of the team you may think I am advertising their project
You forgot Ethos, Binance Coin, and... ethereum of course. These 3 are the best for long term, pretty safe for long investment I believe. NEO is really a good pick too! Well I'm about to add Lamden and Tron too actually, but I'm not quite sure. The best is to do your own research, only you yourself know what's the best.
If you want to buy and forget by 2 years, then open a site coinmarketcap and buy coins with a rank of 1 - 10, all other coins can surprise you with its devaluation in a couple of years.
I believe there is not for 2 3 years altcoin for investing because they are companies and they depend some group of people I know that people are not reliable so I cant trusth long term like 2 years.
I think it's 2-3 years are too much for altcoin, you can't predict how gonna change market in 1 month so doing any long term investments are stupid at my opinion.

I believe that it is not difficult to find a cryptocurrency for long-term holding. You can choose any of the first 5 cryptocurrencies and I'm sure that such a coin will grow in 2-3 years.
I think that now there are quite a lot of options for long-term investment and I believe that one of the best coins now is Waves.
I have 4 coins that I keep for over a year, and I plan to keep on. These coins are ETH, Strat, Waves, ETC. I believe in these projects, fully support these technologies, and I never doubt these altcoins, even when their price goes down.
I think that for such a long time it's worth investing only in those coins that you really believe in! Because 2-3 years is a long enough period for which much can change! I would advise Etpereum, Neo, EOS

I think you should check out Waves, it's really undervalued at the moment compared to the technology it offers. It has really big potential and I believe it could really take off during the next 2 years

I think only some altcoins worth holding for years. Some altcoins' market value are not increasing anymore after months of existing in the market. Some good altcoins to hold for years are etherium and Litecoin. These two altcoins have already established a large community of users which positively affects the demand as well as to the market value. Bitcoin is more advisable to hold for years which have been already proven for the past years of it in the market.
If you want to hold altcoins for 2 - 3 years then you really need to buy a famous coin because I think it will last forever. Of course it takes a lot of time and patience, but I think it it is worth.
It is possible will invest both in BTC and in ETH, it is the good idea because these coins will grow anyway and to monitor in parallel the market, it is possible to make good money to you won't even have to wait for 2-3 years.
Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, OMG and NEO. That's what i would suggest for such 2 - 3 Years. But usually i don't hold altcoins that long.
