If you want an alt coin for long term investment, I will advise you to go for coins like ETH and bitcoin cash. You can also consider ripple as it is under $1 currently.

ETH altcoin you are looking for. for two to three years ahead of these coins will be able to compete with the value of bitcoin currently, hence these coins are suitable for investment in a long period of time.

I think that 2-3 years will be enough to get a good profit from these coins, perhaps one and even a year and a half for profit

Etherium would be the best option. If you are planning to hold an altcoin which is best at short term investment due to the natural market volatility. So a strong and huge cryptocurrency is needed on holding for a long period of time. Etherium has a large community of users that will positively affect the market demand as well as the price of the crypto for a long time.

2-3 years is very long period of time in crypto world. No one knows what would happen. I would suggest to hold well known coins with good potential. These are Ethereum, NEO, Litecoin and the best of all Bitcoin.

This is the right choice for my view. The longer you stay in any project, the more likely you are to make a profit from it.

HODL for 1 to 2 years, wow maybe the price can go up 100% to 1000%, because most of the coins and tokens in Hold a few months can rise up to 10% - 20%, we just imagine if we hold for 1-2 years, for a coin that I believe goes up to the next 2 years, that is Ethereum
You can compare the increase in the price of the etherium for 2 years with the real possibilities of long-term storage for this period and with the opportunities that each trader will receive, earning the difference in the price of ETH. Trading the etherium during the price fluctuation, you can earn much more than in the case of early storage.

The best altcoins for holding some years are the altocins who are in the top ten. Also waves is a very good coin to hold, because it has a huge potential with his smart contract blockchain who is much easier to use and develop then on the ethereum blockchain. Waves is propably the most undervalued coin right now and will have a high value in the future. If you are interested, maybe you can buy a coin which is stakebale and when you have enough coins who can als create a mastercoin to earn more of these coin!

2-3 years.. It is so long time. You have to watch coins and updates all the time. For long time, the best option is ETH. Many people believe it, so popular and hard to be forgetable

to determine the altcoin that will be held in 2-3 years in the future I think we should see altcoin we have, if they have a portfolio and good performance then we can hold it, eth still be an option but if no prospect we should just sell

I think for investment for 2-3 years only Bitcoin and Ethereum is suitable, holding all other currencies is extremely risky.

I think this depends a lot on the goals you set. Often projects take about 2 years to see how the dev team works on the roadmap. Long term, I will keep ETH, CMT, Polymath, Merculet ..

Personally for long-term investment I prefer IOTA, Bitcooin cash, Cardano, Tron, Stratis, OmiseGO, Sia coin, ICON and Zcash. 80 precent of my portfolio are long-term investments. But 35 percent invested in bitcoin and another 20 precent in ethereum.

You seem to be describing such positive aspects that should contribute to the growth of the crypto market, but in fact we have continued to reduce the cost!!!

Crypto market is very unpredicatable and with new upcoming regulation rules we even can't be sure that crypto ico's will be legal and industry will continue to grow . I think short and mid-term investments are more preferable right now .
