Without a doubt is ETH with new projects coming up using Ethereum Contract makes Ethereum becoming famous in the cryptocurrency universe. Dogecoin and Litecoin have been on market since long ago with huge trading volume everyday, these coins might have a future.

Yes. Ethereum is a highly advanced cryptocurrency with features such as Smart Contracts, and more. It may be one of the reasons why it is the second most popular cryptocurrency on the market, leaving it closer towards reaching Bitcoin's market cap, each time the price rises. At current levels, it may seem impossible but if at some point in the future, ETH's supply would become limited, then it may probably overcome in Bitcoin in market cap, if the pioneer cryptocurrency doesn't manage to solve its scalability issue soon.

Litecoin is another great altcoin which has gained a lot of traction lately, due to the fact that it is getting closer towards SegWit activation. It would only become a matter of time before it activates, and makes this coin skyrocket in price. As for Dogecoin, I don't rather see it increasing in price too much, but instead it would increase in usability as the same is inexpensive and easier to get, not to mention its fast transaction speeds making it ideal for tipping others or for social media payments. Since there hasn't been much development nor innovation for these last two cryptocurrencies, their future is uncertain, but as long as they're active within the community, they would be worth the shot. Just my opinion.  Smiley

I guess that will be Iota, Ripple, Ethereum, maybe Monero and Incent.

And finally a new Coin will come, that will top Bitcoin. That Coin will be made by an absolutely genius Developer who will focus the property of very very simple and uncomplicated usability made for all the average people using it everyday in normal everyday-life. When your Grandmother uses this coin, then you know this is it.

Well my grandma uses http:// https:// and the DNS system all the time without even realising it.

But when my grandmother is using it, then it is already too late to invest.

I love XMR, ETH, Doge, LTC. Doge is my favourite. I am a daily trader and I trade Doge. I lost a lot of money in monero trading. But that time I was a noob. Now I have learnt few basics and am trying to apply while I trade. But I did good in ETH. I never trade in LTC although I like it too
LTC is great too, and it has a relatively stable price. Since it gained momentum in SegWit adoption, it has experienced a price uptrend over the last days. Hopefully, if SegWit becomes active, LTC price will increase even further, maximizing the chances of making profit for those who have held onto their coins.
But in another case, With the bitfinex problem caused by his bank account gets blocked by the bank. Litecoin should be gained another moment which those finex users are using it to be the off-chain transaction.
SegWit becomes active and expecting there will be more off-chain innovation for the litecoin and make it going to the moon. SegWit is offering a lot of benefit for the off-chain development .
That's really a lot.

It depends on how long in the future we are talking a year, 5 years 10 years? The longest the time frame the more difficult it becomes to try to get any prediction right, but I think Litecoin, ETH and monero are sure things, I don’t know how much they will be worth but I think those coins have the potential to keep on existing for a very long time.

Glad to see you're into Dogecoin. It is also one of my favorite cryptocurrencies for trading, due to its price movements, opening your opportunities to make profit.

Both DOGE and LTC are great for trading, in my opinion.  Wink

The key of the survive for long term is the expectations. Any coin without expectation will dissappear in the future. You have to choose your coin for investment to this direction.

Completely agree with you, mate. If you don't keep this in mind, you will fail when making any investment on any altcoin for the long term. You would need to make your own research about the coin's development team, total supply, and other factors before making your move towards securing your investments in the future.

Thus, the altcoins that will survive in the long term, would be those who could provide solid development, and most of all, an active community. Just my opinion.  Smiley

actually i am too confuse to say what altcoin that might survive in the future because every altcoin have the same opportunity as long as the dev and the team and the community is solid to give support the altcoin. because without this, the coins will not survive for a long time and its only for short time. i think in my opinion, i will choose the coins with the base of ethereum but i am not saying that only ethereum that will survive.

Yes. The most important thing in a cryptocurrency would be its usability, and most of all, its underlying development team and community supporting it. Cryptocurrencies that have these qualities, would surely survive in the future, as they would evolve and become stronger each day just like Bitcoin. However, those altcoins which have a single developer, or lack of innovation, may be subject to unsustainability over time, leading it to its death in the long term.

If you look at the crypto markets, there are many altcoins which are just hype, and some being scams, eventually resulting in their death by not having a development team, solid community, and providing innovation with breakthrough technologies. Thus, if you were to consider investing into altcoins that will remain alive for years to come, make a research of them in every aspect like development, community, and promising technologies, before regretting making a bad decision in the end.

For me, I think that Ethereum, Zcash and Ripple would survive in the future, as these cryptocurrencies have a solid community backing them and an established foundation with an experienced development team. Just my thoughts.  Grin

I am almost certain that bitcoin will survive. Following that would be ETH because it has a HUGE volue between all the exchanges it trades. Ripple has a bank and financial World work so it might keep going, don’t know if the price would go up or down but it is there to stay won’t be going away. LTC seems to be fan favorite by people, it may stay around too.

There is no doubt that cryptocurrencies which have constant development and innovation are prone to survive in the future. This would be limited only to the support of the community and miners to help the network survive for years to come.

Some of the altcoins are just pure speculation and hype, making them fall over time when they can't deliver something promising. If you look at ETH's right now, it is overvalued considering that it will have an unlimited supply of Ether, which is not meant to be used as a store of value.

In the case of Ripple, being a centralized payment gateway, the team from Ripple Labs could manipulate the supply of XRP to their own desire, making it an inflationary digital asset over time. Current prices of XRP will fall for sure, due to its high supply.

Nevertheless, if there is dedication from the community and development team of a specific cryptocurrency, it will be prone to survive for the future. Just my opinion.  Smiley

I feel ethereum and zcash will survive till the end of Bitcoin. I don't think Bitcoin will survive for more than 10 years from now.
Sourcing can be defined in many ways, there are some coins which are used by only a part of a single community, will you call that surviving?

Bibay seems highly promising. Once it comes under the limelight, it can cement its position at the top of the decentralized marketplace and start absorbing amazon and ebay's market share.
