There is one thing I have realized from my experience with KYC for bounties. Almost all the projects I have provided my personal information to them failed to even get listed on exchanges and the project dies off. Surprisingly, those that didn't require KYC paid me and the project is truly developing. My point is, am beginning to think those project requesting hunters to go through KYC are just in for their information to trade and do not have any intentions to develop their crypto project so let's be vigilant about whom we carelessly give our details to, for some peanuts...May God bless our hustle and
Honestly, i have the same experienced that i have been submitting my informations on the wrong projects which we all hope that they will not used it in illegal activities like scam because we our the one's who will get all the blame, that is why i learned my lesson that i should not trust and get fooled by projects who requires KYC.
This is what many people fear that the personal information we send to people who are not familiar with the reason to get our tokens after completing promoting the project bounty is misused and is our fault for filling in the form kyc and I personally always consider this and may choose not to fill in the form kyc because I don't want the information to be misused.

what is the sad part is they will use your info in thier upcoming scam projects.  Kyc should not be done in claiming bounty reward, they should directly send it to every bounty hunter on thier erc20 addresses.

Are you sure it was okay for you to provide your full identity over the internet with just KYC paying? I think money is not enough if you will going to risk yourself on the crypto community. One of the feature of crypto is the anonymity, and what's the essence of KYC?
Even the big exchange platforms need you to submit kyc before you van withdraw large funds
Its unfortunate we all have been preaching anonymity in the industry but we end up going against what we preach.

Hunters cannot but play by the rules, else they get denied of their payment. The only thing needed to be done is to make proper scrutiny of whichever project you are submitting your kyc to in order to avoid bad occurrences.
Just last month, a project was threatening to report all his bounty participants to the respective authorities of their government for dumping their tokens, thats to show you the level of insanity some projects can go to when they have your kyc details.
Above all, lets be careful!!

I myself also don't really like the existence of KYC where we have to give our personal information to others who we don't know and don't know who they are. Maybe they can misuse our personal information or maybe not, but surely we think that they will misuse our information and their intention may be only to get personal data from others and not to develop their projects.

KYC at the first time was very advanced, solved multiple account problem.
But then, like other trend, it became more popular and then, people start to cheat. Scam projects used KYC too, just to make their plants seem more reliable. Essence is no different, scam is scam. don't trust some kind of that glory thing.

we must be able to distinguish between kyc which is beneficial and which is not. sometimes kyc is announced at the end of token sale. for me if we give kyc only for a $ 25 gift, I don't think it's worth giving our identity. we can count the losses we bear if bad things happen to us, moreover there are doubts about the potential of the project for the future
So research is needed before giving anything, including giving KYC, because there are also projects that are feasible for us to give KYC even though the future of the project is not necessarily bright or good.
while doing the most important KYC can indeed ensure that the project that we trust for KYC can store our data safely, it is more important than the results of KYC because when we do so we sacrifice our personal data that must be strictly protected. therefore the security and purity of the project must be examined more deeply

KYC is definitely needed because of real authentication, Some people use multiple account, and i think all are not required KYC, well we need carefully do that bounty KYC.
Sometimes KYC is really needed, and sometimes KYC is not needed, because it will be very fatal if the party or bounty misuse our KYC data for other things, so be careful when giving KYC.

sometimes it often happens now, many projects that require KYC but fail / get a low price. I think we should try to be more selective about a project because it involves our personal information

That is true, i have been experiencing many project that requires KYC for bounty after or during the ICO or IEOs, which is KYC means Know Your Customer, i think we bounty are mainly to support the project to be successful during the Initial Coin Offering or Initial Exchange Offerings. Therefore, i am not longer submitting KYC for some bounty campaign without any reason, because is waste of time.

Don't ever waste your time submitting all your documents for useless projects in return with few bucks instead find a better project that worth the hustle.
In my case, I choose wisely on what project is worth submitting my documents but if I saw that the return is very little to my expectation then I will not waste my time to them and proceed to other projects.

Be a resourceful person and don't depend to few projects out there that get's your hope down as they will not able to deliver promises like listing in good exchanges and etc. KYC is very popular right now in order to screw up the scammers and etc. but what we don't know is that our details is worth a good amount of money especially if the project owner will be able to collect a huge number of details as they can sell it to other entities that needs it.

This is true most of the projects have not paid to bounty hunters and got KYC from them and also not listed even fail to launch their projects, I suggest that don't fill the KYC of every project and before joining you should carefully check and then fill the KYC if required.

I believe that verification KYC is necessary. I participate in various ICO and IEO and everywhere is necessary KYC. This is normal and each investor must provide their personal data. In the future, there will be legal regulation in which passage is necessary KYC.

but kyc is done not only to know the customer, but a project has rules where the customer must be really pure, not bot. so I think if you do kyc you have to be careful that personal data isn't stolen because in my opinion kyc is sometimes needed for projects.

Indeed, KYC is like a filter from bounty participants because there were many of them caught cheating the campaign.
There was no KYC rule on the past bounty campaigns, but for the sake of prevent dumping, they need to eliminate the cheating hunters.
Personal Identification documents are needed in some projects, for example for opening bank account, insurance and etc to prove that you are real and it belongs to you in case there is something wrong but today this is messed, I think there must be some kind of regulation on KYC procedure/documents and on companies/projects who collect them. It's legalized criminal activity and even governments push them for that. Our data is hang on and they can play with it as they wish, this situation sucks and needs to be fixed. Hope governments will take care of it cause a lot of KYC documents were leaked and it's not even beneficial for local security in countries.

Youre right, some strange and weak projects with zero funding are trying to collect hunters data and sell it in darknet, most of them dont have even any goverment registration of their projects and businesses, they dont need to send any reports, so why they need KYC?!

Yes, I also feel that someone has to do KYC and this project is successful but rarely. Many projects like that with the reason of reduce cheating. I think there is truth too, but kyc for prize hunters is also not true because prize hunters are not investors

Now almost every bounty will ask KYC if you want to get a reward, because to avoid multi accounts join their campaign. I think this is normal because it reduces cheating by some users who want to get a bigger rewards from bounty campaign
Somehow it is good to have KYC on some bounty campaigns to be fair along with other bounty hunters who are participating with all of their honesty and not using multiple accounts just to earn a big profit and prize on the bounty campaign, but there is also some disadvantage of having KYC because in crypto we already know that becoming unknown is one of the strength of crypto as well as the blockchain so if the users will be able to submit their kyc or personal information then it would be easy to identify the identity of the users which is not good because relevant data about his/her personal may use into identity theft and etc. So personally before I enter some projects that are requiring kyc, I do first background checking in order to know if the project or bounty is legitimate or not, or if I can trust this project to provide my personal information with them.
