This idea is still on a debate topic if amazon will accept cryptocurrency as a mode of payment of customer because we all know that all cryptocurrency contains a volatility and prices may vary in parallel to demands, they are studying if they will really profit from it or will lose in the future. I'm looking forward for this idea and if ever it will happen other online store will follow like ebay , lazada etc.

Exactly.  It is not because crypto currencies have the word "currencies" in their name, that they ARE currencies.  They are no more currencies, than the Deutsche Democratische Republik (former Eastern Germany) was democratic.  Crypto "currencies" are speculative assets.  You don't pay on Amazon with Apple options either.

I don't think that amazon will accept crypto currencies in the near future. Why would they?
Amazon is the biggest online shop. And the owners of crypto currencies are quite familiar when it comes to online businesses, otherwise they would not capable to handle crypto currencies.
That brings for amazon the question what advantage introducing crypto payments would bring. Everyone who is into crypto currencies will already have an account at amazon.
So I am thinking that offering a crypto currency as a payment method will bring more administrative efforts for amazon, but no real progress.

If Mircrosoft and paypal accepted bitcoin, why not for Amazon, this could be the perfect mode of payment from their consumers,  with no hassles and delays.

amazon will attract more customer to visit and shop to their sites because the amazon has another option for payment gateway so their new customer could try to use bitcoin to pay. after amazon accepted bitcoin, then I am sure that the bigger shop online will follow the amazon way and this will make bitcoin become grow bigger and the customer could have another payment option. and after all bigger shop online uses bitcoin then maybe we can see that there will be another bitcoin debit card for the other option for payment.

Amazon is responsible for far more sales volume than Microsoft will ever be capable of, and that's something people tend to ignore here. Bitcoin at this point isn't ready for such a large player, which could be the main reason why Amazon is holding off -- in order to take take away Bitcoin's limitations we need lightning network. If after lightning implementation Amazon still isn't accepting Bitcoin, then they just aren't interested. Realistically speaking, Amazon doesn't need Bitcoin or crypto to gain popularity and grow -- they have managed to grow significantly in the last few years to where they stand right now. Also, PayPal itself isn't accepting Bitcoin....

May be Amazon start accepting bitcoin by the end of this year and the bitcoin users may find it beneficial as they will get to shop online through Amazon also without any much difficulty. It may happen that at start amazon may face some issues which may create hurdles in online shopping or the bitcoin users may not prefer it much better.
But bitcoin will soon be accepted by each and every online sites like Amazon and other shopping sites.

Well, I think Amazon will start accepting bitcoin by the end of this year 2018.
Amazon recently bought few new domains with cryptocurrency suffixes and prefixes.
So, that is a good sign that Amazon is planning something new maybe big for bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I think Amazon will support crypto of some kind in 2018.  Only makes sense. They want to make it easy as possible to buy from them.  They see huge increase in crypto market cap.  Also would not be surprised if they launch their own coin.  Bezos wants it all.  Cheesy
There is no actual relation between increase in the crypto currencies market capitalism and amazon accepting it because of that. Popularity of the crypto currency is another part, investors making investment into it is also another part. Amazon is online shopping centre which is meant for easiness of the customers. Most of the people don't know what crypto currency are and how they really work. I mean how many people earn the bitcoin online? And then they go for shopping? I think the number is not much, so most of the people will need to buy the crypto currencies before they can go for shopping with crypto currency. This will make the whole process very difficult. I mean the fees and transactions are not making sense currently. So its still far from accepting the crypto currencies really.

This rumor doesn't have any update on what they are really planning to do with bitcoin, they'll adopt or not. However this is a rumor right so we can't tell if this is about to happen or this will remain forever rumor. But I want them to see accepting bitcoin since there are many of their customers that are engaged in bitcoin now, I don't have any estimation but for sure many of them are into it already.

I saw a news about a week ago Ebay is planning to accept Bitcoin. I'm not sure about Amazon adoption of Bitcoin but it's most likely to happen shortly.

Any proof of this claim? Without proof its just fake news and nothing more than that. I have heard rumors of amazon accepting bitcoin like this thread has often popped but most of it is false claims and not real.

As far as I know Amazon and related e-commerce sites will never be accepting bitcoins as payment. Its as simple as that. Crypto becoming mainstream is pretty longshot and even though it seems possible its still a big question mark.

Yes, I don’t know how these false rumors keep spreading, especially now that we have a big problem with speed of transactions and fees. It is highly unlikely, more than ever, that any major merchant is going to accept bitcoin as a means of payment until those problems are solved.

it's possible, but not just accept Bitcoin as payment in their online store, Altcoin also like Ethereum and Litecoin, my prediction , they will make their own Tokens or coins.

There used to be so many leaks about Amazon planning to accept Bitcoin that it would be natural for them to do it at some point. I doubt all of these have been made up, some could come from real sources that simply postponed the adoption somewhere along the way. Accepting Bitcoin means free advertising and bitcoin trading on Amazon is already being done with the help of gift cards. They don't have much to lose. Probably they're only waiting for fees to go down.

Bitcoin is a digital currency and now it was accepted by Amazon. It's a great news to the people having bitcoin and had a business with bitcoin.Because they can pay with bitcoin instead of FIAT . They no need to lose their bitcoin for the transaction fees. They can directly pay bitcoin with out change to dollar.

I don't think amazon will accept btc .in the past amazon used to accept btc and later they stopped due to the change in the market value.

I don't remember Amazon ever accepting Bitcoin. Perhaps you're thinking of Overstock? Overstock accepts Bitcoin still. Amazon has recently registered several crypto-related websites, but there is no additional information about the plans there. If Amazon does accept Bitcoin, I find it more likely they'll use it to lure in consumers who are inclined to pay with it (although, with $35 transactions fees, who is going to shop with Bitcoin for everyday purchases?), but it's more likely than not that Amazon will use an intermediary to process transactions and forward the proceeds of sales on to Amazon in fiat and not retain any crypto themselves. Amazon announcing Bitcoin would drive the hype cycle even higher for Bitcoin, but I don't see it having any practical impact outside of hype.

In the next future, anyone will accept bitcoin; of course, there is still a lot of resistence due to high volatility and uncelar rules, but it's just temporary.

But it is still difficult to implicate in the system and it is more complicated to adapt bitcoin in the system as it seems to be, there will be a lot of rejections from banks and governments opposing this movement. So, it is difficult to say that bitcoin may integrate into amazon or not.

I don't think so, bitcoin has too much bumps and dumps, every single day its price is changing a lot... So it is not a good ida for current company.
Also the payment time and fees would be a disaster for cheap stuff and for people who want to spend as less as they could.
I think something like Ripple would be much better, or something near to ripple would fit there.

How is this possible How would you pay for a currency that makes such an irregular movement in the market How can you accept a payment as an intermediary There is a difference in exchange rates that will not really change If you can catch Bitcoin is a solid payment system but with a money moving daily 2000 3000 dollars, I think that the seller will suffer a lot.
