Amazon being largest global firm and having good profit since then with bitcoin which you mentioned to be powerful decentralized coin just have no correlation, amazon tend to legal payment method with insurance behind it just to make sure that their customers will be safe, the volatility of bitcoin which making the price always changing so significantly can be a problem for amazon because they could receive less amount of money if not automatically exchanged to fiat when customers sent bitcoin.

With two of these colliding together it would only bring benefits to both of them. Amazon will accept BTC for sure in the future. There are already whispers on the internet about that happening very soon. I dont think bitcoin billing is not necessary to have of amazon because the transactions too vague for them and the users to use them properly and to be honest bitcoin is not user friendly to use right? It is not so easy to understand sometimes. As for Amazons reputation i think they will not tarnish it with a cryptocurrency although bitcoin has a feature to compromise a transaction with no reverse whatsoever meaning no refund.

It will be a nice development if and when Amazon will finally adopt bitcoin as a means of payment on its site. With the talks, I had thought by now they must fully incorporated it fully into their site. Amazon is a leader in online store market. So, if they adopt the use of Bitcoin, they will set a standard for the other online store coming up. And also, means of payment made easy with the use of bitcoin. I did wait for it and also believe it will help in informing /educating a new area of persons.

I think Amazon won't ignored this kind of opportunities for this generation. Knowing that Amazon is one of the known companies globally, any possibilities for them to take steps towards crypto might be possible anytime. What I think it might be (and it would be very easy to implement) if Amazon will sell their gift certificates (for BTC on one site, for Eth on another).

We could not preduct how they think, probably they will not use bitcoin and instead make their own crypto which they will as a form of payment. Amazon is looking on things which they will gain more profit and control. The rumors ate spreading that new alt is made, the reason they are doing this maybe ia because they want the full control. Actually working on it not just Amazon. But I do not see significant progress. It seems to me that all potential sellers who are ready to trade bitcoins deterred by the high price per transaction and long waiting time for confirmation. That's why I think that the failure of agreement on segwit2x is a step back. I guess we'll have to go back in the future.

In my opinion high transaction fees is not a problem. Right now one can pay $0.15 for a transaction and in two days max it will be confirmed. They need to develop a scheme which will make it possible for buyers to pay the lowest transaction fee and still have the ability to purchase a product.

Right. And that would likely mean another surge in btc price so its a win win for bitcoin owners if that happens. Amazon is a major company so accepting btc will be a major boost as well

I agree to that. With the popularity of bitcoin it will make the amazon recognize that bitcoin is a great type of currency and a good mode of payment in their company. If bitcoin will attract more people into it and make a lot of noises around the world then i believe that it is enough for the amazon to accept bitcoin because since they are more on being a business then they will depend on the people on what are they commonly using as a mode of payment or what they prefer most.
