Why is it confusing? A dev makes software not financial decisions. He isnt called AmberCoinCEO. Amber Trade isnt run by devs but by a CEO or board of directors.

I am not happy about the situation either but the dev cant make decisions for the company.

The confusion comes from the fact hes called Dev and not spokes person , "regular" coins have a dev Short for Developer that actively either develops the coins code or works on other aspects that gives the coin its value.
I could be wrong but here hes just a mouth piece for the company and they don't seem to care about their investors at all because we are allways the last to know anything I don't think that's because the devs not doing his job as a spokesperson its just that hes allways the last to get info and then so are we.

I am not quite sure who you are refering to but as Amber is shares, the company own 51% which they need in order to control the company. In addition they also hold a large amount of unsold Amber.

They own %51 because this coin is a 80% premine.

Also, AmberDev only responds when you say good things about him, AmberTrade or Amber coin.
He's deadly silent when there are tough questions.
