Happened on my working PC..34mh/s on RX470
WOW, but how stable is that?
I've never even heard of RX 470 with 34MH/s not even RX 480 hashing more than 33MH/s...

I've 2 Strix. One give me 28MH/s, the other 26-24, same bios...... Where is the problem?!?! In one card i'm able to get 1950MHz, the other 1900 or crash.. Same card, same bios. IS GPU not ok? I've tried to change slot but is the fkkkking GPU
No problem only different quality memory and chip I would say... Do you have Hynix, right?

Hello everyone,

First, sorry for my basic English lol

I have two ASUS ROG RX570 Strix O4G with Elpida memory
It seems that many people have trouble of pushing the hashrate over 27+
After I modded the bios by 1500 strap and set :
        core clock: 1150 (-96mv)
        memory clock:2025
by MSI Afterburner, I got about 29MH/s
I've tried to get 27+MH/s by Wattman, but the memory clock can only push to 1900MHz, over 1900 even just 10MHz will get blue screen...
However, by using Afterburner, I can easily get 28~29MH/s with 2000MHz+ memory clock
Just some information for u gays, hope u will like it:)
I have Strix 470 and 29+MH/s with Elpida is no problem. But with performance timings I can't get above 1940MHz, if you have more luck for good card you can get to 30MH/s. With Samsung memory 30MH/s is no problem on 470.
28+MH/s seems only to be problem with Hynix right now...

Hi, I am very new at any bios modding, I was hoping someone could provide a .rom file for the asus strix RX570 oc 4gb elpida memory as I have 6 of these cards on 1 rig and look forward to making them more efficient as I have with the saphire RX 580 cards using ATIflash.

Thanks in advance.

How do you guys know which memory brand a certain card has? Is it just luck or can we actually buy a card with the specific memory we want?

I'm an old time altcoin hobbyist, about to buy myself a new pc and I was thinking about getting a Sapphire 570 pulse 4gb because it's a reasonable gaming/mining card and I can get one for under 200€ but I'm afraid to get crap memories. Should I opt for a different model instead or are pulses (and their memories) decent for mining?

Thanks
There is something like this: http://1stminingrig.com/spot-memory-types-rx-470-480-hynixelpidasamsungmicron/
But yeah you have to be lucky. In CZ Pulse is overpriced we have here very good prices for Gigabyte, I've never have Gigabyte GPU, but they same price for Gaming and even Aorus, price is about 199 EUR. You can find what GPU use which memory, usually 2 types, but they can use them all Cheesy I thought when I was buying my second Asus Strix 470 that I will have Elpida which I've already have one or Hynix and I've got Samsung instead Cheesy I'm verry happy it's my most profitable card almost same hashes as 480 and lower power consumption Smiley
I also have bad luck even with Samsung memory, but you know you can send the card back, right? I've bought RX 480 Dual, few days testing... pure shit... so I give it back and I've got my money back in few hours.

Is there any way how to check for memory errors in Linux like in hwinfo64 in Windows? Thanks

You say the Asus Z270-A Prime can do 9 GPU's, however all the forum posts I've seen says 8 is the limit. Such as: https://steemit.com/crypto/@cryptos/8x-rx-580-gpu-crypto-mining-rig-with-asus-prime-z270-a-motherboard

Do you or anyone here can point me to a thread or post with someone who has got 9 GPU rig running with success?

Why the MB TB-250 will push more hash?
It's made for mining also newer... old mobo shouldn't have max speeds.

Hello everyone,

I have 6x XFX RX580 8GB all with Hynix memory. Out the box they hash at about 22.1-22.7 MH/s. I updated the drivers to latest. I am testing two cards in my gaming pc until the TB-250 gets here. I have tried to under-clock the cclock and it does not affect the hashrate so pretty sure I'm good there. But in trying to overclock the memory, I put it up to 2050, and I drop to 19.5 MH/s. Only on the first card, GPU0, the second card typically doesn't get affected. I am doing this with the AMD settings desktop app. I tried also with MSI Afterburner but same results. Played around with under-volting and got decent power consumption drop.

Finally I patched the drivers, loaded up ATIWinFlash and modded bios(flipped switch on GPU toward rear) by copying the 1:1750 timings to the 1:2000 timings. Saved and loaded and still same hashrate while same situation as far as overclocking while dropping in MH/s rate.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!!
22MH/s for stock is possible, it should be more like 24Mh/s, but it could be also the motherboard, TB-250 will push it more. Hynix is the main problem, but you should be running at least 28MH/s with good timings. PM me if you want it.

Why the MB TB-250 will push more hash?

On a sidenote, I've got my two 7-GPU rigs (RX 570's) hashing away and they're only sucking a combined 2200W at the wall. Quite amazing considering my 6x R9-280X rig used to draw almost the same amount of power on its own back in 2014... Tongue Cheesy

what mother board does 7 GPU now ?
Asus Z270 Prime P can have 8, And Z270-A 9 gpus.

That's horrible. I have 2x RX 470, 1x RX 480 cards and 1x R9 380 (need update but there are no AMD cards...) with 560W at wall. Also I mine XMR with STAK, but when I use Claymore I have 100W more from wall with about same hashes Cheesy

Hello prettycode (and everyone else!), would you mind sharing where you can purchase the cards for that price? Personally I have the 570 and it mines ETH at 22,4 out of the box and stays fairly cool, I believe the 580 will give you a bit more though.
What do you have memory brand? 22.4 that's more like R9 380... stock should be like 24MH/s. You can push it 28+ or 30 if you are lucky. PM me if you want mine more.

I LOVE these XFX RX570 Black 4gbs that arrived today!!,all with elpida, 29.9mhs 1200/2000 and GPU-Z says 80watts,put limit to 100watts in bios and used modded timings from the custom memory thread from my xfx black 470s..havnt time to play at all, just set 1200/2000 and go! 7 hours now stable and racking up way more shares than my 470s doing 28.5mhs..let you know how far i can push them

I have the option of getting either of these two 4GB ASUS RX 5X0 cards (both in stock, have put on "reserve") at the same price ($199.99 USD):

ROG-STRIX-RX570-O4G-GAMING http://www.asus.com/media/global/products/Ig6XNsgpTunbQUJI/P_setting_xxx_0_90_end_230.png
DUAL-RX580-O4G http://www.asus.com/media/global/products/yYtddvqwPGDNde09/P_setting_xxx_0_90_end_230.png

Power consumption is not a concern. Will be used to mine ETC, ETH, XMR. Any reason to get one over the other? Will be using ethOS.

The Engine Clock on the 580 is 1380 MHz vs. 1310 MHz on the 570, and the 580 has 2304 Stream Processors vs. 2048 on the 570. I don't notice any other differences.

DUAL RX 580? They still doin that? I tought they change for Expedition edition...
Strix are good one, but they comes with Elpida, Samsung and sadly with Hynix too.
XMR: 830H/s with Samsung, 820H/s with Elpida both 470.

Dual is pretty bad... I have 480 8G, but I have 835H/s it cost me 40 bucks more than 470 strix... And O8G dual can't handle memory overclock with performance timings, so I return it. With uber-mix 3.2 it was only about 700H/s...

Strix has much better cooling... those fans are the best you can have. Sadly there is no heatsink on memory, but no problem so far.
Dual cooling is noisy and shitty... It could be better on the new expedition edition, but it seems to have same 80mm shitty fans.
