By retweeting on twitter every time I see anything about 808 and telling people I know about it. I have a cousin who designs websites and said he would accept 808 as payment to make a new site but none of the 808 dev team has responded after they said they need to redesign the site. I suggested facebook and instagram ads and would gladly help but again no response. 808 is also on my signature. How are you contributing?

Looks like we have either a whale investor or a big staker trying to bring down the price with 3 BTC of orders now at 22 Sat.  Does anyone have any rich uncles who can buy them out and hold, distributing it like a friend of the coin would do?  Please don't race this guy or gal down in price.

How are you contributing? This is a community driven crypto. Theres a dev team but the community needs to support what they believe in.

I just got two 9000 coin stakes from a wallet that had about 14,000 coins.  You have to learn how to use coin control so you have bigger blocks, because the small ones probably won't stake at this point. 

This is correct. If you want to have reward every 8.08 days, you need to have a sufficient amount of it to stake with. Always take consider the network weight as this will provide you a better idea of how long you'll be waiting for your reward to arrive. I'm staking 808coin for about a month now with a significant amount of it and I'm getting my stake every 9th or 10th day without fail. Even if I bought it at 35 sats, I'm still at a profit here due to compounding. Like everyone's saying to this coin, it is still has so much room to grow as it is not well-known compared to other high POS coins.

My experience with 808 has been very positive and it compares well with any other staking coin, nonetheless staking has become more difficult recently. Proof of stake difficulty for 808 is 20.98 as of Oct 24, 2017 which you can obtain from the wallet console. The higher the number the more difficult it will be to stake, especially for small stakes. I would advise acquiring more coins to earn stakes at least once every couple of weeks or so. I have one block that is over 3500 coins and it has aged 30 days and still has not staked. Perhaps consider a single block of at least 70,000 coins if this is within your financial means or if not possible then find other high rate staking coins with lower difficulty like Triangles or Rain.  

Im not the dev but there is no way to reduce the supply in the code. I dont know if you have been watching the price but it has been holding up really well throughout everything and is currently up 33.33% on cryptopia. As long as theres more investors coming into 808 we will be okay it and it will not hit 1 sat. 808coin is a pretty unknown coin and if it becomes more known the sky is the limit for the price. This coin has over 200 sat potential in my opinion just because of how unknown it is and how much more room there is to grow. Reducing supply wont do much but new investors will do a great amount because of how eager they are for that interest every 8.08 days lol

Well I'm back after having a couple of days off due to my brothers wedding. Lucky I didn't miss out on entering the 808 coin giveaway lol I think its a great idea as I had my own 808 coin giveaway back in September which generated a lot of interest in the coin and I hope to run another giveaway in the near future. Yup, but your blocks (since only one block can stake for chain confirmation) starts to compete against eachother. And also 10 x 10% chance to mint doesn't mean 100%
So if 1m block will have 100% chance to stake at 8 day (let's assume that), 10x 100k blocks will have 10% chance each at 8 day. But since there is fixed number of blocks daily, and only one block stakes at time in whole network, your 10 blocks will have effectively less chance to stake at 8 day, because of their : 1. low weight 2. High network weight 3. Affecting network by each other (you are pumping network weight by 1m) 4. Competing against each other in order to stake
I dont know exact POS formula but I always understood it like this: Luck (stake)= [Your coins * time(weight)]/Overall amount of staking coins (Network weight)
Since here we have 8 day lock period (stake maturity), You cannot control Network Weight against Your weight once inputed. So having one big input that nearly guarantee stake after 8 days is better than few smaller.

that is only one part of the math, or not? getting the reward is based on luck (as usual in PoS) and this luck factor is expressed in the time factor and by the weight of the block it self? as it competes with the other blocks in the chain to get the reward. so if i have multiple blocks i also have multiple chances to get the reward?

You can't have stake everyday other way than having ~10  x 1 m blocks inputed day after day because of 8 DAYS stake maturity.
If You're spliting - You don't take adv of compounding. Just check it in Excel when you multiply 1.17 x 1.17 x 1.17 x ... x 1.17
You'll easily find that getting % of % in this ratio (808% yearly) is your highway

would it not make more sense to split the coins into 500k block in order to have stakes every day?

You can start with 0.5 to 1 million but it will take a while to get reward everyday.
The stack needs to be split enough but you don't have to do anything except running the wallet.

Don't split it at all. Right now you need over 500k coins to stake at 8-9 day (for 17-9% stake reward)
