I just got an answer from poloniex to withdraw all my coins from there.
Is it safe to withdraw all coins to a paper wallet now?

I used this paper wallet generator: https://github.com/moneromooo-monero/monero-wallet-generator/

Open source software no hidden fees

I call bullshit. No source provided, just binaries on a dropbox. The author is not honest.
I would stay away from any blobs from members I don't trust. Even if source is published on github I would better compile it myself after reading source code.

Everyone please be careful with it.

Re-post from announcement thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-sumo-easy-miner-01b13-the-most-intuitive-gui-miner-ever-created-2163270

SUMO EASY MINER - v0.1 BETA 1.3

This is probably the world's most easy and intuitive CPU miner created by Sumokoin dev team. The miner is mainly for those who want to start mining Sumokoin (SUMO), yet you can freely use it to mine any cryptonote-based cryptocurrencies like Monero (XMR), Aeon (AEON), Boolberry (BBR), DigitalNote (XDN) etc by just adding new pools.

The miner includes almost all features you may dream about for a mining software like changing number of threads (i.e. CPU cores used), CPU priority, pool info/config on the fly. It can save status and restart from the point you left when quitting and not to mention nice real-time graphs incorporated into an extremely intuitive GUI.

F.A.Q.

1. Why did your team create a miner while there are many others already out there?

- Sumo Easy Miner is created for everyday people who want to start mining Sumokoin (SUMO) and other cryptonote-based cryptocurrencies like Monero (XMR), Aeon (AEON), Boolberry (BBR), DigitalNote (XDN) etc. without any hassle. The team found a number of GUI miners out there but all of them are either not user-friendly enough or not open enough in our opinion.

2. How good the miner in comparison to popular command-line CPU miners?

- In hashing speed, it's comparable to the famous Cpuminer client but slower than Stak (xmr-stak-cpu). However, Sumo Easy Miner can hardly freeze or crash your computer if you don't try to overuse it. We can say that it's very stable though only a beta software.

3. What is the best setup to fully utilize the miner?

- Because you can change number of mining threads and CPU priority on the fly, you can easily find the best setup for your own machine. Sometimes, selecting all cores for mining may not result in the best performance especially when CPU HyperThreading is enabled. If you want to use computer for other jobs along with mining, "Idle" priority would be your best friend.

4. Does the miner work with GPU?

- No. It's a pure CPU miner. We think that GPUs require advanced programming and are too diversified to support properly in a simple, easy-to-use GUI software so no plans for supporting them (yet)

5. How can I remove default Sumokoin pool?

- Default pool is not removable, yet you can always hide it like any other pool.

@rickgejr. I was talking about Aeon nodes not wallets. The blockchain is secured by proof of work. If Aeon has gained much support from miners then good luck attacking the blockchain.

Also John Mc Afee will say a lot of things to get attention. Do not take him seriously.

@bbc.reporter

Not sure what it is "I don't get," but according to John McAfee current cell phone (smart phone) tech is not at place where your data is even remotely secure.

MacAfee ain't no dummy, even if he might be unhinged.

I'd say you don't grasp the problem.

@Coinchange. If nimiq is built to run in mobile devices, then yes. But its not only anonymous, it has a better lead developer than nimiq. Smooth has a proven track record in the cryptospace, the developers in nimiq do not.

Aeon is apparently not working correctly.

If and when the work to rebase the coin is complete, we might expect a bump.

We will probably also see a big dump, soon after.

The fact that we have nearly zero "progress" info is not good.

On the other hand, if the improved blockchain version is really good, we could see a sustained upswing.

As for the use of cell phones for this coin, unless and until phones become more secure, anyone who stores their coins on a phone is a future victim of theft.

You do not get the real idea behind Aeon. Running an Aeon wallet in mobile devices is nothing. That can be done today by all of the coins and upload them in Google Play.

What smooth has planned to do is to make Aeon very light so that it could run full nodes in mobile devices. Maybe also mine in them if the CPU is powerful enough.

wow like nimiq but anonymous?

Aeon is not a simple Monero clone, Aeon have a unique Criptonote Algo with the best CPU performance (compared to GPU performance), and less memory requirements, than any other Criptonote coin.

I see a real world use for this caracteristiques.

Yes and the longterm plan for Aeon is to also run on mobile devices. I reckon smooth mentioned that the hardware is not there yet. But he already envisioned that in 5 years mobile phones will be more powerful than the regular desktop computer.

Smooth has found a special category in the market.

I agree, in my experience, AEON is the best coin for mining from the aspect of CPU mining only. The algorithm is one that actually is the most CPU friendly and GPU unfriendly of any I have tested (among coins that are profitable enough to pay your power bill at least). It's also easier on the CPU, every one I have tested it on runs much cooler on AEON then on any other CPU coin I have tested.

And most importantly, one of the main original developers behind Monero is the developer that created and still with Aeon.

That's not correct. Aeon was launched by an anonymous dev aeon who abandoned it after three months:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8699107

Smooth helped maintain the seed nodes and patched a few bugs during that time, and the community welcomed him as the new dev.
The history back then is IMO quite interesting & exciting, a highly recommended read.

Monero's definitely on a solid trajectory, both in value and in stability use. Aeon can only hope to follow in it's footsteps as a sister coin.

what are the real world use cases for a sister coin?  The old store of value, vs cash idea? Just don't get why people think there will be so many cash networks in the future.

@Miner2525. What are you trying to imply? That Monero's underlying technology is not ready yet? I would be happy to see you prove it. Monero's development team is the best compared to all the other altcoins. They are also sticking with the open source spirit which is now very refreshing after all the ICOs running their projects like real companies.

For Aeon, the Chinese ban in ICOs is a good opportunity. Some investors might start looking for mined coins now. I hope the code rebase will be available before the end of the year.
