There seems to be some issues with the block explorer, I PM'ed the author to take a look at it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I received some PMs asking about orphans. Yes there are some orphans with this coin, but it is a trade-off. The diff swing is a very good thing for mining without a mining pool, everyone will be able to get some blocks. But unfortunately at the very low diff, many people compete for the blocks, it's like the situation where a coin is just launched, so you may get some orphans there.

We still need to see if people like this algorithm, but it is one of a kind that does not exist in other coins. Personally I think it is good as at least I am able to get blocks all the time even the hash rate is pretty high. Smiley

Selling Galaxycoin - 1 LTC per 150 GLX, that's a free 50 from what I've already sold 180k for, hit me up soon only selling 100k today at this price

Pretty sure it's the block explorer that's jacked up

I changed my wallet.dat, no more problem

weird, I don't have problem. Occasionally there are a few orphans.

does you last block number match http://glx.webboise.com:2790/chain/Galaxycoin ?

Yes you are right.... my client shows 20996, and the block explorer shows 21175. Looks like the explorer is not correct.

On the other hand, I received 2 0.05GLX, showing as stake ...

it happened again - my client shows block 20796 while here: http://glx.webboise.com:2790/chain/Galaxycoin it is 20806

I used a different copy of my wallet.dat and now don't have this falling behind problem

there must be more than a single blockchain going now...
woke up to 3000 less GLX in my wallet than I left it before bed, updated client just now, now seems to be easier to mine than usual..?
I'm definitely getting a larger percentage of blocks than I was.  Huh
I won't pretend I understand, but all seems fine now - how can you check that you're mining the correct chain? Or is client update enough?

Use the block explorer,

http://glx.webboise.com:2790/chain/Galaxycoin

make sure the last block number agrees with the wallet block number.

Thanks, it matches now, yes I was behind on blockcount... worried for a moment there Grin
-rescan didn't help. deleting data dir didn't help, new IP + deleting data dir bought me up to current block number just fine...
I've been mining on and off since launch, only had this problem a few hours ago.

I think 300k is enough mining until it hits Cryptsy...kinda wish I hadn't sold that 180k already earlier...

edit [disregard the above, a different copy of wallet.dat does not replicate the falling behind problem]

Version 1.2 is released (download links updated). It added more checkpoints so the client is more secure. Also some small bug fixes. This is not a mandatory upgrade, but you are still encouraged to upgrade to get a more secure version.
