When Arch eventually uses their profit to buy coins off the market, does anyone know if that will be in the form of a buy wall or will they do a massive buy from the sell wall?

Maybe that's it. My 1k versus much bigger fish doesn't give me much of a chance I suppose. And I did use coin control to lump the 1k all together it all stakes at once. Still at highest priority for stakes.

Hmm that's odd.  Maybe send all your coins to a new address within the same wallet, so they start building weight together rather than several smaller inputs.  If you do that make sure to backup wallet.dat again.

I only get a few stakes a week. Depends on the amount of coins you hold, since I don't hold many my chances are slim.

Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong? I have 1k ARCH in my wallet, version v1.2.0.0-g  The coins show at the highest minting level and I have yet to get any staking after being on for weeks.
The "days to reward" keeps changing from 5 to 4 to 3 then back to 5 or 4 but never 1 or hours. Not griping, just see if this is normal. Other wallets that I have stake daily at the least. Thanks for any help.

edit: yes wallet is unlocked for staking, 33 connections, and chain is current

That does not sound normal.  My coins start staking after 24 about hours, currently stake 15-25 times per day.  Do you move your coins often or have they really been in that address for weeks?

Same address. I have only added to the total coin amount as I have purchased or ihash sends coins there from mining.

Some helpful info can be found at the support desk above.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/arch/#!network

Use the nodes found here. They are most always the latest.

The wallet can sometimes take a long time to connect. Try and give it some time before restarting it.

Perfect, thanks.

Any updates from the CEO channel ?

Well, like BTCArchitect tweet, April 25th is going to be one of the big info release day, beside that many thing are being discuss openly or internally in the channel, there's some good idea being shared, for example an idea to add another layer of security in the Arch wallet, after all Arch is one the first of it's kind in Crypto Equity field so security is high priority.

POS coins need wallets to be online to run the network.

POW wallet only needs to be online to update blockchain and transact. POW miners run the network.

Just an observation this has highlighted to me.

I'm no expert on these things, but I don't see why a POS wallet would be less secure than a POW wallet. When you unlock a POS wallet 'for staking only', your wallet remains unable to send a transaction without the password being entered one more time. The important thing to note, therefore, is that the hacker needs your password/private key in order to take control of your wallet, and the likelihood of that happening is the same whether the wallet is POS or POW.
