Hello! How do I see here start to mine, how exactly do you do it? And do you only get this project token? I understand correctly?

If you refer to the front page of this ANN you can download the wallet and there are links to the miners you can use too
That is, there are all the booty goes only through the purse as I understand, tokens are extracted immediately into the wallet and you do not need to translate them anywhere?

We would like to announce the launch of the Arionum Web Wallet.
You can now manage or create a wallet directly in the browser.
Please be advised that this is beta software.
The Arionum Web Wallet was developed by Cuby and AroDev.

Yesterday when i started mining i saw my miner on aropool but sometimes miner disappeared on aropool.
Today in the morning i started mining but i cant find my miner on aropool even after 8 hours of mining. Why?
My wallet: 4jDgxAip7dffCuUaRN7mcErYv1P95g1ZFj4CZVaHRCrrRH4seTnzDdqxTFsY9Y6LMbZJGUbCEMUcUhX 7DttYfHS
https://aropool.com/acc/4jDgxAip7dffCuUaRN7mcErYv1P95g1ZFj4CZVaHRCrrRH4seTnzDdqxTFsY9Y6LMbZJGUbCEMUcUhX7DttYfHS show invalid account.
What going on?

Your address will only show up if you have found valid shares, if too much time lapses between share finds, your address will disappear but will appear again as soon as a valid share is found.

Hey overlode, as you can see people are asking this many times.

Maybe it's an idea to put the miner timeout on 24 hours (or something)? It looks like the miner get timed out to fast, i know; accepted share = accepted share, but if this is an easy ''fix'', add it.
If the timeout will be like 24 hours, u can also beter see how many people are mining. People what get a few shares a day will also go away in the total miner view.

Again, shares are save as it should be, this is just a modification so you can trace your account beter if you get less shares. However, i dont know how this work on Arionum because this is an totally new coin and system.

The problem is, basically because of the way your shares reduce by 5% every block not found by the pool, it's designed to drop any miners that have 0% shares in the historic section. I am not sure of the advantage of keeping an address on the pool if it has no shares.

Further to this, people can simply look on the block explorer to see their balances and transactions for when they are not showing on the pool?

Yes that can be the difference, i am just trying to compare the aro pools to other pools.
On other pools ur miner/hashrate will also disapeare after some time, on some pools after 30 seconds, on the other after 15 minutes. This 15 minutes is beter for people what are mining on a high diff and get less shares, on this way they can easy keep looking to there miner information on the pool site.

Now i know that Arionum is working on a totally different way, but for miners it should be easier to see there; confirmed, unconfirmed balance, accepted shares, and there mining speed (and stuff like this). For me you dont have to do this, i just dont look anymore on the website because i can also never find myself. However, i get my payouts everyday so i also dont care that much about the websites. But, new people/miners are always asking here the same question: what is happening, i am mining for 24 hours but i can not find myself on the website, am i doing something wrong, is the pool not working? I can understand those questions, so if there is an easy fix for this (or add something so you can put ur ARO address so you can see more stats).

So just try to do something so people don't need to ask this questions everytime (miners want to know what they are doing, how much they get, how much they expect to get etc etc).

Ps. this is just an positive feedback Smiley

Other coins are reporting OctaEx as a scam exchange, just a heads up.

Nice project. Following.

Further to the question about using GPU's to mine ARO, currently there is not a lot of information out there regarding hash rates etc.

From my own personal experience, and with the help I have given others setting up the GPU miner, I have the following information -

A rig using 5 x Nvidia 1070's was achieving around 90 h/s. Depending on the pool that you mine, this should give you around 150 ARO per day. With the current price of ARO being around 600 Sats, this is an income per day of around $6.

An Nvidia 1080Ti gives around 25 h/s per card, so a rig with 5 x 1080Ti's = 125 h/s = approx 200 ARO per day = approx $8 per day.

Obviously this is all depending on the pool you mine on, block finds in 24 hours etc, so this should be taken as a rough average.

If anyone would like to try using their GPU's if they think it is worth it, currently I have written a guide to get the Linux miner working out of the box on a fresh Ubuntu 17.10 install. You can read this guide here - https://forum.arionum.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=189

Obviously I realise these cards sap quite a bit of power, and electricity costs have to be factored into the equation, and it is your prerogative if you want to mine using your GPU or not.

ARO will never be fully GPU mine-able, however the GPU miner is out there purely for those wishing to use it on their systems if they have a spare GPU.

I personally use a desktop and a laptop both running Ubuntu, with the GPU miner and the Java miner together.

The Java miner can be used alongside the GPU miner, with little or no detriment to performance.

For a Linux guide on installing the Java miner from source as a fresh install, please see -  https://forum.arionum.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=140

Does anyone know if there's any javascript based miner?

I'm thinking of something similar to Coinhive that will mine Arionum?

The only miners are the PHP miner (now obsolete), the Java miner and the C++ miner.

Wowa!!

Those bounty's are nice, if nobody can do the Dutch translate, i can do. But, for me its fine somebody else (what dont have power to mine) will make the Dutch translation (just send me a PM for the dutch translate) Smiley
Hm yeah a bounty for GPU mining? Those one give me some questions Cheesy

Not that GPU mining is bad for me (sometimes i think its beter to create a bigger network with mining speed, so GPU is needed + this give more miners for sure), but wasn't the idea to be CPU only?
Quote
This also struck me as odd.  If it's meant to be CPU only, why ask for improved GPU miner as a bounty?  I'm curious as I've been mining on my laptop (6-12 h/s, nothing major) for over a month now.  I like the coin but, it's not enough daily return.  I would love to get more of it through mining.  I've been planning on setting up a GPU rig and I'd be more than happy to point my rig towards some ARO!  Just looking for more info and clarification.  Thanks!

We weren't actually looking for an improved GPU miner, just a fix for the current Linux miner that will not compile on newer versions of openssl, and a Windows port. The GPU miner will always be only as effective as a decent CPU, so in this respect, if people had a GPU that they wanted to use they could.

Octaex FUD came at a bad time, but on the other hand, the market was already in bear! Great opportunity to buy some ARO. Tongue

So it turned off that octaex was a scam exchange or what do you mean with the octaex fud?
