Im trying to sync the wallet. I have 2 active nodes but I am stuck at 5 days, and have been for some time. wallet version 0.8.6, is there a newer wallet available?

You might be in sync but and it might have been 5 days since a block has been found. Can you post your working nodes?

I've resurrected the BEN pool on www.hasher.ca

Miners hop on and blast the network with some solid hash to bring this coin back to life.

Cheers

While Cryptsy's wallet doesn't show "offline", the test deposit I just tried isn't showing up so the wallet may not even be functional. If they're going to look into they're going to want some nodes as well as a block explorer. I've pushed through 6 blocks now at 1.4mill diff.

Some nodes to add:

addnode=192.99.35.133
addnode=198.50.152.21
addnode=198.50.152.135
addnode=192.99.203.53
addnode=191.237.129.52
addnode=192.99.35.133:1504
addnode=198.50.152.21:1504
addnode=198.50.152.135:1504
addnode=192.99.203.53:1504

Crypsty won't release info on their nodes, I asked before.

Not sure... is it worth it? The wallet needs updating and unless there someone willing to do, not much point in a revival IMO...

I was just wondering because the problems we had were that it was actually a 10 minute blocktime and the difficulty was that hard because everyone left that we couldn't solve blocks for ages maybe 1 every 3-7days and we didn't have much hashpower going into it, now look how cheap rentals for SHA-256 are and the amount of power that is available now with new hardware we can bust through that next difficulty retarget which we never achieved & the difficulty will be low since it took 1 Year instead of 2 weeks to solve the blocks.

It's just an idea, maybe someone can fine tune it to change the specs/features and then release the new wallets with nodes to everyone so it changes over.

Does anyone have working nodes?
I will set up a working block explorer and see about updating the wallet. But I need nodes first

Is there any nodes available still and does Cryptsy have a node for their BEN wallet ?

BTW I went through the OP list and these are the working Links, mind you there is 2 mining pools that load but I think only 1 is minable though.

I wonder if anyone can fix it now since no one is mining it.

Yes they have, but do i only use the cryptsy.com ?

You just have to send all your BEN as transaction fees!  The coin is dead.   No network to support the transactions.  Even if you attempt to send some across the network, it will take 120 years to reach (and confirm) to its destination.

Long live the ghosts of Benjamins!

If you put half as much effort in actually helping some of these coins as you do declaring they are dead....

Is there any working addnode? i cant find any.

Thanks

Sorry, haven't had this running in a long time. It need some hardcore revival if any nodes are going to pick up. try using crypsty as a node... I think they still have the wallet online...

Someone should just hardfork the coin & revert some previous blocks so just before the difficulty changes prior to the slow blockchain the new fork takes effect and gives BEN a new difficulty algorithm in return for deleting some coins to make that happen or alternatively you could keep trying before the next block gets solved in however many days, there is still a lot of BEN to be mined, only 12.8 Million !

Even if somebody came along with their insane hash power and smashed all 2000 blocks then stop, it would get BEN blockhain moving to a very low difficulty making it easier to work with.
