Hey  Amed

food for thought, i know it's MRR but they give refunds as a automatic thing if the rigs under preforms . just some thing to think about . i used both MRR and this one some times prices there are more reason able then here .

I got like 4 to 5 partial refunds due to under preformed rigs, again, like I said it's food for thought . it might help you all on tickets etc . might take a little to put some thing like that in but will be worth it, I'm sure.Smiley

That's a double edged sword.  So if my renter chooses a pool/coin that doesn't perform well(this is especially common in scrypt and other algorithms where multipools and weird parameters such as 30 second blocks and diff retargets every block are common) then I get penalized for it?  My hardware is rated properly and performs well under normal circumstances, and if there are issues(rare) I comp with extra time.

Also, I've had renters in the past who rented a 350MH scrypt rig and bitched cause it averaged 338.  In the real world there are many factors that influence average hashrate, and most are out of the control of the rig owner.

it doesn't work like that or does not seems to there. form what ive been refunded  it was bad rigs not bad sites Smiley . i rented one for a week there it  never once  reached what it claimed it would 2.5 TH best it did was may be 2 if that and got worse as time went on . the rating systems it has,it has to match up to, not the site your on . if your rig is  off line for 20 mins the owner, its a refund automatic or something like that  . i never once run any thing on a bad pool if i know it's the pool then I  move it or if  the speeds sux i move it to make sure .  i kind of  do this for money my self so I'm watching it all, all most all day long , some times for hours at nite. i have yet to put in a ticket on MRR but may have to  for a x11 rental i rented maybe not thu if there rule is followed .I hate putting in tickets and getting tech support  (I do mean hate it ) some of the moron's that run tech departments don't know jack or even listen to what you tell them over the phone etc . I mine alt coins to just not  mufti pooling  that's waste of money and time imo . unless its sites like westhash to me that's just a little bit diff. My main BTC mining site i all way have  at least 3 to 7 TH  is  http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/  I love that site I have  seen  pool luck go as high as 10 K or higher. I'm not kidding .

Why should I (a renter) use Betarigs as opposed to NH?

When you put an order on NiceHash, someone can overcut you, and take your hashrate away from you. With BetaRigs, when you order hashrate, the hashrate belongs to you until the specified duration ends.

This used to be the case, but NH now offers fixed rentals. (Just want to clarify I'm not promoting them, just want to give you a chance to convince me)

Hopefully our service, our support of not just BTC but various altcoin's. Our willingess to constantly improve our service to make sure you get the best our of your money.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that feature. I am a user of both Nicehash and Betarigs Smiley

You raise some good points. However i'm an ex stratum dev and pool op so i've got good experience in how to determine the quality of a pool and the factors in how a rig hashes against it. This means i can easily tell what the issue is with a rental when a ticket is filed. And can re-purpose some of the pool offline scripts from my old pool and code it with some checks to ensure things are fair.

Essentially aslong as the rig reports in every few minutes, Sends atleast 1 share every 10 minute, (may code up a more relative share rate based on the diff + hashrate) then it'd be safe under the new refund system

Betarigs, after being taken over by new owners, is far worse when it comes to quality. What is actually happening? Are your programmers completely lame and can't do things the proper way?

In what way? We can only fix stuff we know about?

I get the impression Betarigs is a 1 man band.  And has support issues.  Specifically support tickets.  Given up waiting for promised refunds for bad rigs.

Recently mentioned some new features which I'm not sure if we'll see or not.

If Betarigs needs some help, even volunteers they should ask.  I'd be more than happy helping as I use the site a lot and my job is bitcoin mining so I'm sat staring at the site all day anyway.

It's a 2 man band atm. support ticket's can sometimes be an issue due to timezones. From what i could tell there were 5 support staf when mux ran the site while now there's 2. We are aiming to get support tickets as minimalized as possible too. E.G. I'm currently building a system whereby a user such as yourself can make a payment not recognised or rig offline ticket and the outcome is auto-determined and a refund given as appropriate (or flagged for one of us staff to resolve if needed)

Which bad rigs dont have a refund? (We have about 10 rig's waiting a refund but a number dont have a btc address since some people dont provide us with them at the time they make the tickets)

Ahmed

As follows from yourself:

for Ticket 158402 a refund request was filed for you by the other staff, waiting for the rental to end.
for Ticket 201463 a refund request was filed for you by the other staff. The rental's ended now so i've given you a 70% refund

Both tickets had BTC address 1LqhShMwHoSYpLxbMBCiJZkPTy3dUn3zxX attached.

Also, only a minor detail but probably an easy fix but Betarigs emails are still signed Mux.

Cheers.

Also, I'd be willing to volunteer to help with support if you want.

Sent out a 90% refund on 402 now
Sent out a 70% refund on 463 yesterday

Updated the emails too

Thanks

Have submitted 2 support tickets regarding my rentals.  One is running at less than half the advertised speed and the other was only online for 6 minutes.

Sorry for you ! I looked at betarigs and it says that betarigs is not responsable and is just a middle-man !

You can open support tickets if the person you're renting from doesn't respond.  In these cases I have been told refunds will be processed but nothing has happened yet.

It is a gamble though and hopefully they can get rid of the bad eggs soon.
