Hello!
...
Mux

Could we get some improvements in regards to stats and worker configuration?  The ability to delete workers would be great for one.
Two, would it be possible to see the reported hashrate of our own rig going to a user pool?

Hello!

Ok so we now have a new payout long-confirmation-time issue, unrelated to the one from the 26 feb.
The affected payouts are the 2 from the morning of the 4 March:
https://blockchain.info/tx/5bffa0e355a25bf90be0d68c0e20bba2450d3e545c832342c0aab2d08dc3df59
https://blockchain.info/tx/efc939ba2511c2e7c8f2320a9244e4155226687ed4b195a7583317f15d5f57d1
I'm changing a bit how I'm doing payouts, and there was an issue with the wallet, which only put 0.0002 BTC as fee (instead of the 0.0022 BTC it should have -- the wallet is configured to add 0.0002 BTC per kilobyte).
So the payments have been done, but will likely be confirmed within 1-2 days. Sorry about that!
I'll of course double-check that the next payouts get the proper fee.
Also, unlike the 26 Feb morning payment, this is not related to a transaction input being unconfirmed, so these transactions will eventually be confirmed.

Oh come on, Stop saving for fees! 0.0022btc is like $1 to $2 ONLY! Tongue Smiley

Satoshi is rolling in his grave. #bitcoin
Cmon add rating renters or something, there are people that rent out and BS to get free added rental time.
or make some monitoring from your side to judge, this is insane.. some dont even know how to set up pools

Insane price war going on, people renting out for 0.009xx ... that is like $13,5 a day for a rig with ~2000khs

I think this rig owner is the winner:

Mining rig #2208 AdiS Rig - 270x
Price: 0.000559 BTC/day
430 Kh/s
0.0013 BTC/Mh/day

Yup, it's not 0.013 BTC/Mh/day, but 0.0013 BTC/Mh/day  Roll Eyes

wow, impressive!

i noticed the user who rented my rig, and not yet pay, has also renting several others rigs that is also "awaiting payment"... i think this guy probably not gonna pay. serious renter usually pay within minutes! this payment time windows is too long, it should be shorten to 15mins or less. the renter who doesn't pay should be disabled for a day or more as punishment...dayum

Thanks for a very good service. I've tried it out and it works great.

One improvement would be to give the rig owner the possibility to cancel the rental if the payment takes more than 10 minutes. I understand that the actual payment confirmation can take a while, but I've also seen rigs staying in the state "Waiting payment" for at least 30 minutes, and then it returns to "Not rented" because they where never paid for.

Problem is because the rental prices fluctuate a lot when a new coin is released, people only want to rent their systems out for short periods in order to make sure they get the maximum return.

NEW: Instant payments!

So from now on, if you pay from Coinbase, your payments will be recognized almost instantly! ( < 2 minutes )

This is thanks to the intra-Coinbase, coinbase-to-coinbase transactions, that do not require a confirm in the blockchain, like we usually need to.

Edit: This is of course subject to the Coinbase API not failing -_-

Any chance of a block system for us system owners so we can weed out pesky renters?

A few on the site are renting out rigs and claiming they aren't getting the advertised rates when system logs (cgwatcher) show otherwise and it seems that some of them are doing the same thing over and over again.

A simple block list which owners could add renters too in order to stop them from renting would be a god send.

It could get rid of the "renting and not paying"-problem as well. But then, I don't think a blocklist will really help, as people will just create new accounts, if they are looking for trouble.
A "rate the renter/lender" (as opposed to a rig) could also be an idea, but then bad users could also create new accounts.
(BUT: if your rigs are connected to the account, you cannot run away from it without loosing your good ratings)

Another thought about the rating system: There is no real way to tell if x times a rating of 10 is good or not... the scale is too big from 1 to 10.
Also if everybody gives 10s for all the average rigs, that perform what they are supposed to, how can you see, which rigs really have helpful owners (rate the rig + rate the owner)?
I did like the 8 is good, 10 is excellent at first, but think that 8 should be the norm and 10 only if the rig/owner outperforms the service.
So maybe its time to reset the ratings and start with a 3 fold scale "less then expected ... exactly as described ... better than expected".

I also noticed really bad behavior by owners. Since the rating favors short term rentals all the better rigs are only available for 3h rents. that does not show good owner behavior. I would love to rate an owner. If he as a good rig, but sucks in communication/support.

But then... The rating is not really that important... its just an indicator. Like on ebay. Since the front page lists top rated rigs it has gotten too much attention in my opinion.

Just had another idea to try: switch of the ratings for a week and see what happens. Evaluate if they really help or not.
Just a "text" feedback instead of a number. Force renters to write something useful or nothing at all.
Many renters don't give feedback anyways.

Rigs blocked in 'payment received - waiting 1 confirms'
One user sent a very small miner fee, making confirms taking forever. I have cancelled all rentals, the rigs are now free!

Fed 26 morning payout number 1 out of 2 for rig owners stuck
One of our morning payment has been made via tx 6a675e90de940ced1b4237ae7d6b4d7224a0c69c8102c70fa87ddd23948eec87 but it still unconfirmed:
http://blockr.io/zerotx/info/6a675e90de940ced1b4237ae7d6b4d7224a0c69c8102c70fa87ddd23948eec87
This is unusual as we put the usual BTC fee to the transaction.
We will keep an eye on this transaction.

Ok I figured it out. These two above items are indeed linked.
The Feb 26 morning first payout (http://blockr.io/zerotx/info/6a675e90de940ced1b4237ae7d6b4d7224a0c69c8102c70fa87ddd23948eec87 ) contains, as input, bitcoins from a user that set a very low BTC fee and who has not yet been confirmed.
So until this user transaction gets confirmed (one of those being, for example, http://blockr.io/zerotx/info/bde0cb010318b25b0d6cb5765a1bdea2f56a191008a52f2fa26bb165d7a97bde ), this payout will stay unconfirmed. This could potentially last some days; hopefully they will get confirmed soon.

Hello!

A quick update to say that I'm still keeping an eye on this transaction, and I'm not forgetting it.
If this were to never get confirmed, and if I'm able to be sure 100% that it will never get confirmed, then I would send again the payment.
Now, I have never seen a case of bitcoin payment being unconfirmed, so I need to check for the proper way to deal with that, and to be sure it will never get confirmed at some point in the future.

Cheers,
Mux

The payment from 26 feb morning has been sent again!
