well, it's doubled in value.

they're gonna pump the shit out of this while they still have a captive market. i wonder how many people have chosen to lock their coins up on viatbtc.

This coin is legitimate because the current scaling roadmap proposed by the core developers largely is not.
They want bitcoin to mostly scale with second layer solutions which is not what Satoshi created and
by the way is not anything that other coins are doing, so they are the ones doing a radical change
which is more like an altcoin.  True story.

I think Satoshi wants that the technology improves day by day. Why would he be against a second layer solution? Segwit seems to be less dangerous than a block size increase for the moment. So why not implement just Segwit?

BCC won't be an altcoin for very long. It will become the new Bitcoin.

A new bitcoin that cannot do fast transactions? Wait until the person next to you pays for his coffee in a second through the Lightning Network while you are waiting for 10 min or an hour for your confirmation.

0 conf works fine without full blocks.

LN is not decentralized scaling, sorry.

this is not an airdrop, the title is misleading, it is a simple split. looks like several people will use this case as a launch of new altcoin, despite the bitcoin will not likely to have a hardfork

I dont think any respectful exchange will add this altcoin

exchanges don't have respect for anyone.

as long as it's technically sound most of them are going to list it.

they're not gonna turn down millions of customers with itchy dumping fingers.

All those who think Bitcoin will split after fork .... Please take some time & read below.
Even after that if you want to dump BTC for Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin ABC or whatever this crap is ... Your Luck !

I added another blog post by Jimmy Song for people to read.
https://medium.com/@jimmysong/uasf-segwit2x-scenarios-and-timelines-1a540336c4be

And here is the list of Miners that are supporting SegWit(98.6%).
There won't be a chain split on August 1st.
And Bitcoin Cash will be on it own chain after 72 more blocks(about half a day).

i will dump by BCC for real Bitcoin (BTC) after the split.. It will be dumped to zero. Just wait & watch..

A fool, like you, and his real Bitcoins are soon parted.

we will see who the fool is. Just wait for the split.

You really think this is going to work or be real bitcoin without any support from users or Miners. if yes, than you are the fool here..

I love this project, this is what bitcoin is supposed to be all about: the community. !!!

This is not about the community. It's all about the miners. The community dont support the raise of the blocksize. It is not healthy for the decentralization

Why not how can something hard coded be more democratic than something dynamic coded.
What i understood is that miners set the size in their command line either provided by the mining software or the user himself. People can always select exchanges that offer less size. This is just a new trend in the market.
You act like it's private healthcare or something...

Better try to find a commitment alltogether (including miners, investors, community)!

everyone's been trying for about 4 years now. it simply isn't gonna happen. i don't think this is the solution either but at least they'll get a shot.

What a stupid idea...
Nobody needs a Bitcoin fork, this just creates a bad image.
