How many BLK-coins u need to "mine" with PoS?
more than 1
better 10k
Why is it since the new wallet staking has been crap..for me?
47k staking and I received six (6) coins for all of 2017, very weak imo 8(

Maybe an exchange is staking the majority of active coins. The little wallets won't stand a chance against the giant wallets on exchanges.

any BLK under 5k sats is a steal...

Filling up my BLK bags some more...

With the worldwide growing confidence in crypto..many family, friends(noobies) ask me .."how to mine" "can i mine eth"

i tell them not to bother as its to difficult and risky..your better off setting up a few POS wallets on BLK  Smiley because eth is going to pos soon and you wont be able to afford it.
so now im gonna be setting up a few BLK pos wallets for friends and family to run for next few yrs.

Blackcoin has been leading POS develpoment, is really cheap to make transfers, almost the fastest, is secure and it's not manipulated.

Anyone can get free BLK here.
Share your friends, and you can get the same reward.
 Let's share it together.  Smiley

this is an old coin, why a renewed interest now?

Yes Blackcoin is old. Older than all the hyped coins.

But it's running stable. It has set new strandards like PoS3.0 and was copied plenty of times. Till now not one serious security or stability issue has appeared in Blackcoin or in the Blackcoin technology that's been used by any of it's clones. It's running for 4 years now stable, fast and secure. What do you want more from a crypto? I mean, besides from hypes and scams?

I agree with your perspective on POS coins, they definetly faded away in 2015/2016 but will come back because they are just a better
consensus mechanism, atleast energy wise i know some miners would maybe want to debate me there.

What do you mean by msm?

Could see blk coming back, who knows, kinda like vericoin they have both had lackluster 2017 compared to the rest of the market.

By the way, can anyone tell how to stake with BlackHalo? I unlocked the Wallet, and aktivate staking. Is this enough or do I need a cold staking IP insert?
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.26443242

You don't have to cold stake, that is optional. Make sure you have both keys loaded (in the history tab it tells you how many keys are loaded). And also make sure it's unlocked and activated in settings.

Yrs ago, when crpyto was on its first boom...msm turned on pow coins...within days/weeks many pos coins came out of nowhere...and many hit all time highs.
then the crypto downtrend began and pos coins faded away...but never died...they went into the background...
now msm is at it again...as crypto popularity rises, they will attack pow again....https://inews.co.uk/news/long-reads/bitcoins-energy-arms-race-sign-things-come-greenpeace-warns/
and as eth plans to move into pos sometime in 2018...pos will become popular once again...but on a much larger scale...

Now BLK...imo, it is the #1 pos coin, great innovation, great project, great dev team...but seriously undervalued...

once pos kicks off again next yr...1BLK=$50 and over $1bill in value is very very realistic....
if things go crazy..and the crypto market goes into the multi$trill..i wouldnt be surprised to see 1BLK=$250-$500

so my tip...dont wait until then...start accumulating BLK while its cheap(its still under$1...wow)

Old but gold !    Old is a positive, substitute the words established, time tested well supported and developed Smiley    This is one of the original and best POS coins, I've been staking coins for years since not long after launch.    Its very capable, have a look into www.blackhalo.info  and I also use BLK to buy stuff across the internet, the newer coins are barely on an exchange.
I hope more people will use this coin because it will improve spreads and there is a reciprocal benefit to all users as wallet holders receive the mining fees, stop paying stupidly high amounts just to use crypto.    We the people arent millionaires, its not viable and will fail, you know this.   BLK in effect doesnt even need a graphics card to mine, so overlooked its criminal  Grin

BlackCoin POS is indeed very good.  QTUM copied their POS design!

Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt8UeMukLvM#t=01m30s

And Look at this:

Blackcoin moving again. New updates are coming and have already came. Colored coins, atomic swaps, the upcoming creation of a decentralized foundation, community is increasing every day. Blackcoin has almost the fastest transactions, high volume, and it has demonstrated to be really safe and stable. Blackcoin is pioneering POS since day one, being copied by multiple top coins because of it's quality code. Blackcoin also implemented POS 3.0 and has an anonymous client. Also it wasn't premined, and it has been fairly distributed in it's long history. Staking reward varies between 1-6%, something really reasonable and well thinked. Blackcoin is a YES YES
