and agree tho - pumps will come naturally too, but it's almost chicken or the egg. it happens when new investors are injected or on good news (periodically) as you mentioned. but why would they come when they see manipulative whales with big walls with fud in the forums and there are a million other 'cheaper' choices on the market? how do you convince them this is a good coin without sounding like an informercial? how do you wait for positive sentiment in a downward trend when cryptos are moving at the speed of light with new coins (clones) popping up each day? i already mentioned but 4...FOUR colored coins on polo already! when no news is out (like currently in blackcoin this week), a gain can spark interest and turn heads at the least. not saying to double the price. but just show green. show steps upwards. bring in new money and then on good news bring in even more!
Whatever is done, just get the right heads to turn - investors and not just speculators.
1000%
and i should clarify my position on this. I think saying "pump" has become taboo here. i personally don't think a huge, sudden buy will be good. AT ALL. but as i already said, just showing gains would be helpful. showing a + instead of a - for days on end. if it's just a gain, it's not even a pump, is it?
when you think about it, people/investors etc buy on good news yes, but also to simply because they want to increase their position with a coin...people getting together for the potential group buy are not only buying simultaneously (as opposed to random times that don't make any dents in sell walls), but also increasing their own position in the coin. we are getting more coins for our wallets too.
For example, if I bought 1 btc now and 4 others in the hypothetical group each bought 1 btc throughout the day tomorrow, we'd all have 5 btc worth of blackcoins by tomorrow night. But this way all we'd be doing is buying at the same time to raise the floor a bit and show some gains. I also don't think we'd plan to just dump it as that's counterproductive.
