More comments on alt-coin articles regarding BTQ.

That's a good sign IMHO.  I used to search for BTQ and all that would come up is this thread and a reddit thread.

Looks like someone's working an SEO angle to grow awareness!

very good article with very good reply comments! This is my main goal for BitQuark, is to turn this statement from the article on its head, "Most altcoins are never going to challenge Bitcoin for virtual currency supremacy." I accept this challenge!!! Smiley

Older article, but it saw some BTQ plug today in the comments.

Okay, I've been mining there for a solid day at roughly 800Kh/s and the rate is being shown correctly on my dashboard. BitQuark Dev has been mining there ahead of me. He claims he is mining at about 8Mh/s but my pool stats are misreporting he is mining between 1.3 and 3.7 Gh/s, that's GIGA with a "G". Because of this my reward for 24 hours of mining is only 0.09BTQ?

Something is very wrong here. I'm out.

when I GPU at btq.obfuscode.net my hash rate is off also, but over at cpu-pool.net my hash rate is dead on. For some reason the hash rates are only off with GPUs, but are correct when it comes to CPUs. This is one of the problems I've been running into while I've been testing out the MPOS pool on my server. I've emailed the owner of cpu-pool asking about how to fix the coding of the stratum server and he just said it has to do with the "difficulty". That really didn't help much.

See how the pools hash rate is way off. Anybody know how to correct this??

I've added a BitQuark Pool for you:

https://bitq.suprnova.cc

This is a Suprnova NG Pool, you can use your unified login there and all your pool workers from earlier setups too.

SSO Single-Sign-On on this Pool - You can also use your previously set up workers !
Payouts every 30 seconds
DDoS protected
Suprnova Quality, lots of experience in all kind of hashes - we had the first X13 Stratum and were among the first X11 and NIST5 Pools !
Highly optimized Stratums and MPOS implementations.
Idle Worker Notifications
Two Factor Authentication if wanted
Support 24x7 via IRC,Mail,PM etc.
Only 1 % fee ! (thats 50% lower than most other Pools !)
We have full SSL encryption on all pools ! (https:// instead of http:// !!)
From miners to miners - we're mining ourselves on the pool, with our own, self built rigs !
A OP that actually knows what he's doing - in crypto and mining since 2011 !
We are on the bright side ! ;-)
We are running our own, legit Block Explorers for the coins we host ! Stay safe !

Please spread some hashes over, we need to test the implementation and find our first block !

How to use Coin Control

1. On your BitQuark client select the "Settings" tab located at the top. Then select the "Options" tab and then the Options box will pop up. On the Options box select the "Display" tab. Next put a check by "Display coin control features".

2. Now click on the "Send" tab and you should now see the Coin Control Features displayed. Click on "Inputs".

3. You should now see the Coin Control box which looks something like the image below. Click on the "Priority" column so that it will sort the transactions by their priority.

4. With the transactions expanded, select enough transactions so that it equals no more than 4962 Bytes. You will know if you exceed this amount in bytes because the numbers will turn red. Once you have your inputs selected, then click "OK"

5. Now enter you BTQ address that you want to consolidate your transactions to. The "Amount" label should be the same amount as the "After Fee" amount. Enter this amount in your send "Amount" box and click send. Repeat steps 1 - 5 till all your coins are consolidated. It is good practice to do this every couple of days depending on how much you are mining.

Hope this tutorial helps everyone!
Thanks,
BTQ Dev Smiley

It boils down to a limit on the number of fragments the wallet can bundle together to send at any one time. Mining solo the payouts are 2.5 BTQ each. I can send up to 250 BTQ (100 fragments bundled) at any one time (up to 200 at a time, 80 fragments, without fees) to another wallet which defragments the first wallet. Theoretically I should now be able to send 20,000 (or 16,000 without fees) in a single transaction although I have not tried yet.

And do I see correctly that BitQuark is mining at a rate of 2.7 GIGAhash per second at supernova? GIGA hash??? Either the stats are wrong or Dev has an ASIC mining BTQ. That would make me very angry. Angry

lol no ASIC mining...I think the user hash rate is off, cuz my program shows me mining at around 8.27 MH/s while the pool's dashboard shows me mining at 1.7 GH/s...I wish I had that kind of hashing power!!! lol

You are right about that Zero...I defrag my client every couple of days of mining and I'm able to send large amounts without fees. I've tested it with a transaction of 25,000 BTQ Smiley

same here, I just split my transaction by 500 will be accepted but the succeeding transaction you need to lower it to be accepted. in the end, I end up having splitting into 500,300,200.

I hope this is not normal hopefully it can be fix.  Smiley

Wallet v8.3.17

Trying to transfer lets say 1000 BTQ to my other wallet.
Getting "Transaction too large." error.
Clicking Ok shows "Error: Transaction creation failed!"

Transaction fee is set to 0.00100 BTQ

What am I missing?

Thanks

You can use the "Coin Control" feature to correct this. I will make a document with images explaining how to do this.

Every coin has that issue.  Real pain in the butt when you start actively using coins, but as dev said, that's what coin control is for.  Basically you're sending your self money in larger sums so that the wallet doesn't try to send large transactions (in bytes, not in coin amounts).

If you use P2P pools, regularly consolidate your transactions with coin control.
