Hey all,

I am trying to set up my first masternode.. first first! I have 1,000 chaincoin to do it. I watched this guide here on  youtube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5qWF8ewcS4.  This guide is amazing. Unfortuantely though, I keep getting an error message. I make it to following part:

Where I input:
 cd ~/.chaincoin;wget http://downloadandroidrom.com/bootstrap.dat;chaincoind -loadblock=bootstrap.dat &

I let this finish to 100%, then when I input "chaincoind getaccountaddress 0" to get my address for the masternode, I get the following error message:
error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I don't believe I am. I have done it three times now.

Any help anyone can provide would be GREATLY appreciated. I am new to crypto!

Thanks,
Joe

I just opened my first node today using a static ip (Vultr). Do i need to keep the desktop wallet open?

hello how often do you get paid at the node? The node work 24 hours but no payments.

Because we have a lot of nodes and they are cheapest

man nodes dont make t good, the payment need to be constant and not as it likes , makes holding a node very hard

Yeah I wish the payout was a little better as well but I can't complain! Smiley I got four payouts yesterday after a couple of days of nothing. They seem to eventually come but just delayed.

The dev team is making progress with getting the current ledger data compatible with the new chaincoin network. They're also including some of the newest improvements/securities from bitcoin core. Chaincoin will be the best of both Dash and Bitcoin I guess lol! ^_^

Just keep holding on! Smiley

Hi guys, would like to know what's the actual roughly ROI for 1 MN for CHC like a month. Thanks

Since a month i am running a masternode, producing about 14 coins a month. The profit is very unstable, sometimes 3 coins a day some days nothing. No problem for me, and hope the upgrade will resolv this and brings a stady flow of coins.

Mining Chaincoin has been profitable in the past. I just wonder why there is not much marketing for this coin.

Still today CHC remains one of the cheapest coins you can buy to run a node. Reward is not great...but it's honest and I like this project. After all we are speaking of an anonymous cryptocurrency....and this new trend is growing and will rule in 2018.

It all depends on the current state of the project and its next steps.

i buy in, this coin can pump at any time Wink

lol pump and dump again dont forget to dump like the rest and get caught holding the bag dont be greddy lol

You are right there.  I once did not sell when the price of Chaincoin rose. It went right back lower than my entry point. Only problem is when to sell.  Sell early and get left behind or sell later but fail to sell at a high point?

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you all know. MN are paying. Its just not everyday. I got 3.6CHC on the 14th and 15th, but none since. The payout before these was on the 3rd, so they're random but are working. Hope this helps.

Hey guys. Maybe someone can give me a hand here.

I got my VPS and node all set up....sent coins....did the  "watch chaincoind getinfo" waited for the balance and such to show up....perfect so far...

did "chaincoind -daemon"   great! shows chaincoin server starting

it comes up as "Invalid masternodeprivkey. Please see documentation"

Tried to confirm my masternode private key against the conf file {several times) and it looks good.

Any thoughts to a solution to fix this?

Thanks

p.s. this is my first masternode ive tried to run, so I'm still pretty new

Do you have the masternodeprivkey set in your ~/.chaincoin/chaincoin.conf config file? You can generate one by running "chaincoind masternode genkey"

yes, I do. checked it several times with what I had copied/pasted to a notepad. unless I copied something wrong? should I create another one? (Privkey) and how would that effect everything?

I read there is a fix for this on github, as well,  but I can't seem to find it

Not sure where you went wrong. I just followed these instructions and my MN setup worked great.

https://toaster.chaincoin.org/docs/Setting%20up%20a%20Chaincoin%20Masternode%20-%20draft%20v.04.pdf

I don't know what ive done wrong either. I can see a list of files {using ls} however my chaincoin.conf file is now blank, so I re filled the information and saved it. then checked it a few mins later and its blank again!! (yes I saved it)

and I don't see my wallet.dat anywhere! Where the hell did that go with my 1000 CHC? (and how do I get it back? or at least the coins)
I know they were there because I was able to monitor it using "chaincoind getinfo" and see that they were deposited

FML could really use some help
