I've got some good news! At least for my particular payment situation.

Peter Vessenes got in touch with me yesterday after I contacted Joel Yarmon. While drafting up a reply to him, I went to my wallet and blockchain.info to calculate how much money I was missing. I realized I was double-paid on January 7th. (How did I not realize I had twice as much money as expected? You've got me; sometimes I don't remember what I had for breakfast by the time I sit down to lunch. Roll Eyes )

The amount I was overpaid was deducted from my subsequent payments, until it equaled the extra amount I received. I.e., I entirely "missed" one payment that was less than the overpayment amount; and then part of my next payment was deducted as well. I didn't receive any notification that that was what had happened, so you can probably understand my confusion.

Was that basically what happened to the rest of you with missing/incomplete payments?

Also, Peter says that he plans to post soon, after bookkeeping and "a communication breakdown" are sorted out.

I got my full payout for the past week, but I think I'm still out about 2.5BTC. Anyone else?

Why would anyone use their loyalty points on the redeem pool now? $2.5 per GH/s per day is less than 100% PPS.

This is the current 'top' leader board.

Is that the leaderboard for the redeem pool? I'm still mining on protected since prices have been fairly strong and ASICs haven't hit yet. There's about 70GH/s of power on protected, and that's a decent chunk of coin.

What bothers me most is the lack of communication for weeks. That's really unlike Coinlab.

Wow.  my bad.  I haven't even looked at the protected pool for a while.

Chris or Peter should log on and give us an update as to what is going on...

This is the current 'top' leader board.

I have not had a payment since Jan7.  I have less then 100 dollars coming and I am almost always near the top...

I would say just relax and let them do what they need to do. Coinlab is not going anywhere!

Charlie Shrem promised to put me in contact with Peter Vessenes, but Charlie says he hasn't heard from Peter so far. I just sent an email to Joel Yarmon, a contact for the VC fund Draper Associates, and sent another to Roger Ver.

I'm wondering how else we can effectively escalate this, particularly to get the attention of other notables in the Bitcoin community.

If you'd like to send some emails yourself, here are the names/addresses I've contacted already:

Peter Vessenes, Coinlab CEO and Bitcoin Foundation executive director: [email protected]
Charlie Shrem, Bitcoin Foundation vice president of the corporate member class: [email protected]
Joel Yarmon, Draper Associates: [email protected]
Roger Ver, Bitcoin angel investor: [email protected]

Edit: I also contacted Chris at Coinlab, [email protected]

Seems I just got a payout, although a bit less than half of what I've earned the past two weeks. No human contact though, so I'm still not sure what's going on.

Has anyone else here seen at least some of their payout?

My transaction (I received the smaller amount Tongue )

I've emailed Peter Vessenes via his Bitcoin Foundation address, and also Charlie Shrem (BF's vice chairman handling their corporate member class.) I saw on one of Coinlab's previous forum posts that they share office space with BF; maybe Shrem or someone can take a peek and make sure their furniture's all still there.

This is not to say I think Coinlab's scammed us; they've generally been communicative, up-front, and accomodating, and have been known to fall behind on payouts and public relations. However, Bitcoin businesses seem flighty practically by nature, and after two weeks I think we should start asking for news from anyone who might know.

Beyond this incident, I'm concerned that we haven't had an update on the HPC business in some time. Coinlab previously expressed difficulty in finding customers for their admittedly non-standard infrastructure; and the custom client is well behind. They received $500,000 in VC in April, and it's not unthinkable that they've run out by now.

If I don't get a response from Vessenes or Shrem, there are other people I plan to contact: VC firm Draper Associates, investor Geoff Entress, and CFO Jack Jolley were mentioned in that article. I'd encourage you guys to contact some or all of these people if we don't get a response soon.

Thanks for taking the time in trying all contact methods. I hope we get a response and that everything is on track.

I would be very disappointed.  Part of the gamble for both miner and Coinlab was how the price would change given they were paying out in USD.  I certainly hope they hold to the value based on when the payout was due.

I just sent an email to Chris asking for an update. Hopefully we'll hear back soon. Has anyone else tried to contact Coinlab staff?

Just sent a message as well. They usually respond on a Monday.
