they seem to be so busy developing that they forgot about the bi-weekly update. Actually it should have been published 4 days ago. The first 3 updates were very regular. Let's see if it will be released tomorrow. It would be time
Probably they are finishing something they were suppose to release or wanted to talk about this week!
Keep your eyes open and be prepared for something amazing!

I don't think they've announced a constant update; they have done a weekly and a biweekly. I think if there is nothing major to announce then there is that otherwise it will just be updates on the dev progression.

Empowering crypto w/ sustainable energy

Yeah, I'm also curious about it, If they will going to change the HTTPS then what will going to happen to it? They will going to replace it or it will going to be part of them also? I think now it's hard to think about it  Cheesy

I hope that https will not be replaced that way. The security features of https are very important and should be implemented. I have no idea how this works technically, but Cova will find a solution for it
Why https replacement will not possible? As we know that Cova is really trying to do it and definitely it will possible. Might be after replaced https to Cova then it will may be like this -  Cova:// ?

Is there any issue with cova replacing https, if it has better features and seems to be more secured than https then it should not be a problem. In technology we have to grow everyday and if cova is better then i would let it replace https.

Replacing the most secure web on the internet would require advanced technology and would take time. I don’t know if COVA testnet would come up as promised but that would be great.
There’s a list for COVA tokens on HUOBI. go vote em in.

Covalent protocols when done would limit access of 3rd party to internet users personal data. That would keep users in control of their data.
I think that’s really nice. What else do you think Covalent smart internet could offer internet users. ?

I have to admit. For me, it's still a bit abstract or quite hard to imagine how their new Internet protocol will work in practice. But their approach to stopping data abuse is their most important selling point if you ask me.

I think there was a video about how it all works. It is practically just replacing the conventional https:// with COVA:// and all data will be protected.

I like that about exchanging our common or regular https with cova and we will know that we are really using the cova features and services. We will know more about it soon I guess once they release more updates about it.

I am honestly mostly interested in the adoption part; I mean how will the current or existing application adopt the protocol; would it be straight forward or it would require a special kind of setup.

No to what I understand it’s on both sides their taking the power away from the site and giving it to the consumers to protect their own information and grant permission

That makes the idea of a decentralized economy. Every user has the right to person data. Decision on how much of your data is private could be made by the user by clicking a few buttons.

Exactly, gone are the days of relying on a site owner to dictate how one's data should be used. Covalent is the future guys!!

there are so many projects out there looking out for investors to coming in and later end the whitepaper ideas on and exchange. no utility, no working product. they make blockchain look like a joke. no wonder they end up on exchanges and are very well affected by bitcoin prive rise and fall.
for COVA they got a nice idea on paper, and i heard there would be testnet soon, well i see thats the trend, no MVP no Investors.
lets see how this works out.

COVA offers a lot more than your standard blockchain project, admittedly they are lacking in some areas (limited whitepaper and no public testnet) but they are working hard on developing their project at the same time so this is understandable. Creating a whole new internet protocol is not simple and the technology they are using is very advanced so it won't be a walk in the park.

People really don’t get how important it is to take charge of your own data security Cova gives thy ability back to the users and gives that control to people which I think might be hard to accept but we need it

Guy's, why GitHub direct link is not working from covalent.ai? It's still showing error 404 page not found. Is there any kind of changes going on covalent site?

yeah, i have also experienced such problem and i believe have probably not included the link to their page or they are up to something big, nobody knows

That is very important actually, the first page that people visit when they find out about a new project is the official project website. Github is critical to the COVA project as a lot of information is stored on there. The team in charge of the website should get this fixed.

I don’t think COVA team have been no this thread in a while. Would be great if someone pop in on the telegram group chat and inform the team.
Project team should always read up on their social handles and Accounts. Find out discussions on the thread and reply questions.

well DATA Theft has really been a huge problem for present days! we needed a CURE, a solution to protect ourselves from being exposed over internet! and i stongly believe can COVA can change it!

The painful part is the users are exposed and their privacy are invaded without the knowledge of the user. The control is really welcomed but the users will need to be educated first on these issues to bring it to their awareness.

You'd be amazed how many sites have leaked my old passwords and funny part is i didn't know they were leaked until WAYYYY later and i'm a techie guy keeping up to date with all the leaks and breaches is almost impossible

Which links are not working for you exactly? Are you talking about the links from the list of private preview repositories (https://github.com/covalent-hq/wiki/wiki/Source-Code)? If so it's totally normal that you get the 404 error. Their core source code is private and they only have opened it up to selected technologists and investors. So if you want to get access, you have to write them a mail ([email protected]).
Yesterday I was also facing the same issue. You mentioned links are working fine but GitHub link which is updated on their homepage was not working. I didn't check today but yesterday was not working.

Ahh okay. Now I get it. The Github link on the official covalent.ai site wasn't working for you, right? I haven't had these issue yesterday so I thought you were talking about the links of their source code.
