this coin has a pretty good price and it's relatively new

total coins amount should be 512 million  so with current price it is some $300 mil. market cap
please write me some solid reason why I should put my time and btc into this coin?
Maybe intention is to back up somebodys pile of copper or copper mine ??
sorry if i miss something

We already sell 1 pound copper bars for CPR, and will soon be accepting it for gold and silver, as well

iGotSpots, am I better off mining with the client or using the CPU miner that was posted earlier in the thread?

I personally use the wallet for CPU mining and this: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1WLLLvN3Ho5TU16ckctSV92eVU/edit?usp=sharing for GPU mining

GPU mining efficiency dropped about 30% last night due to a coin re-adjustment, so the time you have left to GPU mine is quickly dwindling down

Thanks iGotSpots. Who owns this pool?

http://cpr.botpool.net

kczuse I think its spelled like that I might have a few letters jumbled up though.

If you use that pool I suggest having your CPR client opened as a server and have your fail over to solo mining. The coin is so fast that you will have a lot of downtime in between blocks.

It will say pool isn't providing work fast enough but I think its just because the coin is so fast

By the time we get to 512 million CPR, Bitcoin will be at like a ga zillion.

"moneysupply" : 1587.38447500, total network

That's after like 2 weeks of GPU mining, which just dropped 30% in efficiency last night. Soon it will be CPU only and these blocks will be found MUCH slower

Dumb question: I tried mining this with cgminer at cpr.coinmine.pl and all I'm getting is rejects. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

It's scrypt-jane. cgminer won't work.

Here, I uploaded the GPU miner: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1WLLLvN3Ho5TU16ckctSV92eVU/edit?usp=sharing

Ok, thanks. Another dumb question: How do I mine it with CPUs?

To mine with CPU in the wallet, open the console in debug and type this:  setgenerate true #

Replace # with the number of CPU cores you want to use. You can just do setgenerate true without a number if you don't want to specify

First, orphan rate is so high that there won't be anywhere close to 512 million.  Secondly, at $3 per CPR you're looking at $1.5 Billion market cap or as high as Bitcoin.  But we're a far way from 512 million so we can't really say this is yet true.

Um, orphaned coins don't just not exist...

Orphans doesnt affect coin cap anyway, the block created just isnt in main blockchain.

The p2p pool is down?
since source is up, and I'm really fed up with this project (p2pool project i mean). Im taking the pool down, I need the hardware elsewhere atm. Theres atleast 2 dudes who have been asking for the source, so I guess theres gonna be p2pool up soon.

Terminated.
Update 9/1/2013 - We have just had another re-adjustment and GPU mining has dropped roughly 30% in efficiency. Hurry and get your CPR before it's too late to use your GPU

Coin just is too fast to get stale rates at any proper rate, maybe if we could triple lightspeed or sommit would help.
since source is up, and I'm really fed up with this project (p2pool project i mean). Im taking the pool down, if someone else wants trouble, can host one of these.

p2pool source is now at:
https://github.com/urpoapina/cpr-p2pool.git

mine is running in EU so maybe pools at another continents would be nice addition.
Theres some problems for every share to get propagated because coin is just damn fast. I had to lower sharing time to 1 secs because otherwise slower pools wouldnt have any payout whatsoever.

on side note: with current rate of CPR all the debugging etc netted me around $3 wuhuu (prolly not enought to pay even the electricity)

Definitely come check this pool out, guys. kczuse and I have like 32 mHash between the two of us pointed at it right now. Come piggyback on our hashes and get some quick CPR before the price rises

IPO was 4 LTC !!! oh my gosh!!! where is commmon sense???
it is the most expensive coin for LTC on cryptsy. And total coins amount should be 512 million (maybe back up all copper in the world??)
I still dont know why so expensive especially when it falls down and volume is not big
It is almost the same amount of coins like IFC but price is already sky high, in my opinion price coild be 1000 times lower or did I miss some special feature of the coin? like in fact nothing can be bought for it - I check the webpage http://www.igotspots.com/ but it is strange, did anybody already buy something?

We have sold 14 of the above Copper Bars for CPR so far via PM's. I have not added them to the website, yet, though. Will be doing it later tonight
