Very frustrating that there is zero reply about the current beta, i posted 3 days ago about issues and seem to be the only one who has said anything about the latest beta test since it launched...

There is literally nothing on the website that talks about what Curecoin is actually accomplishing, future goals, or how the computing power is being utilized

You're really asking CureCoin, a folding team specializing in cryptocurrency, to speak and publish on behalf of Pande Labs and Folding@Home - a group of molecular biologists who take months between publishing academic papers. Much of this research is just entering its infancy. Pande Labs is developing algorithms using deep learning to narrow the search for drugable states of proteins. With next generation hardware, they will be able to take advantage of the resources our community provides. Unfortunately, if they don't publish it, we can't make it up  Lips sealed And what they do publish is sometimes too difficult for the layman to interpret without waiting for a medical journal article to be published months later.

Occasionally we beat them to the punch however - reporting on Pande Lab and Folding@Home community progress using social media before they have a chance to publish on their own web pages:

We are actually all proud of this one: Conformational heterogeneity of the calmodulin binding interface

"Finally, our model predicts a novel binding interface that is well-populated in the Ca2+-bound regime and, thus, a candidate for pharmacological intervention"

Through social media, we've reported on articles which reference Her2 Kinase discoveries related to the treatment of Breast and Prostate Cancers as well as drug compounds uncovered by the Folding@Home community currently in trials by the NIH for the treatment of Alzheimer's.

HKUST (Stanford's partner University in Hong Kong) is currently processing the results from a year of running Diabetes Type II beta sheet simulations. I believe thanks in part to the HEAVY lift of the CureCoin team early on with Chrome NaCl work units run in the AWS cloud, they were able to collect results ahead of schedule - but since they have a policy of being "team agnostic", no single team will ever be recognized, and we really feel too humble to constantly tout our numbers (like moving into the #4 spot on Folding@home in under a year (in Folding@Home's 15 year history).

If you look at the folding@home reddit ... you'll find many of the top up-voted posts and suggestions come from CureCoin team members. And many of our members are beta testers for new projects and work units coming out of Folding@home. So they sacrifice their points so the whole community can fold without hardware or software related interruptions.

We'll try to publish more science to the home page in the future. I'm thinking of highlighting some of the research discoveries in the May post. Also we're looking at starting a weekly email newsletter exclusively for folders.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I didn't realize the facebook page was actually where the main source of news is posted, since on the curecoin website, the only link is the facebook F, and is not under 'knowledge base' or 'community'. Maybe just put a link that says "News" on the curecoin site that directs to the facebook page.

I would still personally get something from the scientists for the public to read, even if it's one sentence, something is always better than nothing. Even just a scientist saying he appreciates the funding from curecoin, or that ts has helped research. I think it would look really good on the curecoin website.

Thanks for sharing some links.

at CureCoin im just a investor

what really happens is out of my control

i can only fulfill a leadership position at one coin community

at all others where i am stakeholder

im just a simple investor who from time to time share his opinion how he would do stuff

So nobody in a leadership role actually communicates on here to the public?

I think the main issue Curecoin has been running into is being severely ignored here.

The price per coin does not relate to the market cap.

What I see is that continual pumps are simply dumped for quick profit, because there is no incentive to hold. I mean seriously, there is no incentive whatsoever to buy and hold other than the very slight possibility of curing a disease.

There is literally nothing on the website that talks about what Curecoin is actually accomplishing, future goals, or how the computing power is being utilized (like a pie chart for computing power for each disease). Buying Curecoin is like dropping money into a black hole and hoping for the best. What is my money funding? Has the research made any progress? Who are the scientists that use the information? Where is the research facility located (at Stanford only, or more places)? Why isn't there monthly/weekly/daily updates? There should be a constant stream of information from the Curecoin team, to investors and the public, not only about the coin itself, but the direct influence the coin is having on a PERSONAL level. Dev updates are nice, but they really only affect people that understand the coding behind it, which is a very limited number of people. Give out information that everyone can benefit from, because the mob rules.

I hope my point is seen clearly.

Thanks,
Cody

i think its early adopter accumulation phase
where lot people happy with low prices and misleading coinmarketcap
that show far more existing coins that real exist

the steps u describe should be part of the combines marketing and promotion efforts when CC2 launches and create synergy effects

set that steps now would be wrong and waste of gun powder

Hey everyone, SigmaX Beta 3 coming this weekend to patch the desynchronization issues.

There's quite a bit of confusion about SigmaX in the last two pages, so I'll give the 2-minute summary:
Curecoin 2.0 and SigmaX are different blockchains. Neither exist yet (both are in testing). They share much of the same code base, and in general development of one contributes to development of the other due to their similarity.

Curecoin 2.0 is our main/primary focus, and contains several unique features over Curecoin 1.0 and other existing cryptocurrencies, namely quantum-computer-resistant signatures, a mini-blockchain, a "jigsaw" blockchain that uses PoS as a security mechanism without the risks exposed by traditional PoS, and a certificate blockchain.

Since the certificate blockchain forces Curecoin 2.0 to be more centralized than some people in the crypto-community are comfortable with, we expect someone to create a pure-PoW fork of Curecoin 2.0 when it finally launches. As a preemptive measure, we figured we'd develop that PoW solution ourselves, so that it contributes to the Curecoin ecosystem.

Holders of Curecoin 1.0 (the only 'real' blockchain we currently maintain) will be able to convert their Curecoin 1.0 holdings 1:1 to Curecoin 2.0. The networks will run simultaneously, with Curecoin 2.0 eventually replacing 1.0 in its entirety, once the conversion period is over.

SigmaX will be PoW. PoS may be added, that's still up for discussion. People who own either Curecoin 1.0 or Curecoin 2.0 during the first (year? 6 months?) after launch will receive weekly payments of SigmaX as an extra reward for participating in Curecoin.

Curecoin 2.0 will be 'mined' by folding. SigmaX will be mined by hashing of some fashion (probably using a hard-drive mining algorithm as was pioneered by BURST).

If there's still any confusion as to how all of this fits together (it's confusing, I know), let me know and I'd be happy to explain further.

As I mentioned before, this weekend SigmaX beta 3 will be public, to do additional stress testing on my fixes for the blockchain synchronization issues people reported in beta 2. Thanks!

There is a vast difference between the methods used for CC2.0 and Nexus I would suggest you read the  CC2.0 whitepaper.

http://1.curecoinmirror.com/Curecoin%20Signatures%20Compressed.pdf

CC2.0 will use merkle trees of lamport signatures, Nexus uses 571bit priv keys.

thats nice and might be a step ahead

but for normal users the point they understand is

NEXUS addresses are more than double as secure bitcoin addresses

CC2 will be able to say maybe we are 15x more secure than bitcoin

but as NEXUS didnt get a big impact by higher security CC2/SigmaX wont get just because of that too

the real point that make curecoin great is the combination with folding and valueable research rewarded with this coin

SigmaX would canabalize CC2 (by take away a industry first feature from CC2) and damage it way more than it helps

as i explained before if u have no partnership with universities and the certificate part
make CC2 have a addition POS part with fixed blockrewards (POS3) and send 80% of that rewards (and 80% of POW rewards too) to the dev managed reward folder pot which each day will be split between folders

this way no premine needed no certificates needed u have a hybrid POW/POS secured coin and u reward folders

all needed for this solution is existing already in bitcoin based coins and u sure can adopt the code logic towards ur codebase

in my opinion u win nothing by utilize that certificates thing u just add a point that u required university cooperation
for now all u need is visible folding statistics no further cooperation needed

and manage a 1 days POW/POS folding pot to split need trust but lot less that u manage a 80% of total coins premine as in CC1

dont waste time and move on with a solution that u can do and give us CC2 this way and move SigmaX back where it belong to into lab as a prove of concept that should never see the market

and if u think u have to go with sigmax to present the world a better secure key system then u to late anyway

example NEXUS NIRO have this already

please focus on CC2 as a single coin solution

and see sigmaX as what it is a prove of concept testcoin and not more

its very confusing if people state here infos like facts but different people opposite meaning

can there be a official explaination of the system

so we can get a idea of the facts how it is designed

You can read just a few pages back and find out what the dev has said about the subject.
