Hi,

I'm a newbie in the crypto world and I bought 233 DNR on Cryptopia. I downloaded the Denarius wallet and (while it was synchronizing) I transfered my 233 DNR to the address generated in the "Receive coins" section. But my antivirus was keep shutting down Denarius so I deleted the Denarius folder in order to reinstall it. I then realized that my previous receive coins address changed. So my question is: can I still get my 233 DNR back?

Did you uninstalled or deleted folder?
If you deleted the folder
Wallet.dat could be in appdata/roaming folder/denarius in Windows installed machine..

Price fallen from .75 to .62..so may be You can buy one again

I deleted the Denarius folder in C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Denarius. So the wallet.dat got deleted as well.

I don't know if it changes anything but I have wallet address...I'm confused  Huh So my 233 DNR are lost forever?

Think of it like this - if you have $233 paper money in your physical wallet and you take that wallet out of your pocket and throw it in the fire.... then yes, that money is lost forever. Sad

I got my wallet back and all transaction details are in the post above yours.

Price fallen from .75 to .62..so may be You can buy one again.. what anti virus are you using? best to add the denarius folder to the exceptions so it doesnt do that to you. Then remember to always back up your wallet.dat file somewhere different, like another hard drive, usb, etc. I have all my wallets backed up in 3 places. I do a daily backup on a secondary hard drive attached to my system, then weekly backups onto a USB and offline hard drive I keep detached. I know it sounds extreme but its saved my ass numerous times when wallets stop working and go bonkers.

so you never backed up your wallet? why wouldnt you do that.. You always need to back up your wallet. What kind of antivirus software are you running? I have had to add all my wallets as exceptions, as well as most of my miners to what I use. Most are always false positives but once I know they are clean the exception is added and I have no issues. You also need to backup your wallet every time you add currency to it. I personally back up to three different sources. A daily backup to local secondary harddrive, then weekly backups to offline harddrive and USB key. It has saved my ass on numerous occassions when the wallet goes bonkers and I have to re-install it.

if you dont have a wallet.dat file backup and you delete the coins folder you probably wont be able to ever retrieve your coins.

I got the backup wallet and replaced the new one with it. Now I see in "Receive coins" the address I used when I sent the D233 DNR. But I still dont have the DNRs in the wallet.

has it synced yet? the wallet I mean or is it still syncing. you will have to wait for it to sync. Check where your withdrew your coins from as well and see if they are still in your wallet on the exchange or have already been sent.

syncing is done and my Denarius wallet is still empty. I bought DNRs on Cryptopia and my wallet on the exchange is empty (transaction status is "completed").

edit: I tried the repairwallet command and it did not change anything.

take the transaction ID or wallet id and put it in block explorer and see where it went.

So far I cannot contribute in mining because my hardware is too bad  Embarrassed
But I will buy some and see where it goes ...

Hi John,

Me too. Just found it not so long time ago. I agree it seems interesting. It wouldn't be bad to invest some extra cash in this. Who knows, one day it might worth a fortune

once its synced if you still dont have it you could always try the repairwallet command in the debug console. go to help, debug window, console tab, type repairwallet on command line. That helped me with a different wallet in the past.

Added some nodes to the conf file, but I'm still at 22% (136 days ago), is there any masternode?

Masternodes is not released yet. You can try downloading the bootstrap and importing that. https://github.com/carsenk/denarius/releases/download/v1.0.7.0/bootstrap415000-12-2-2017.zip
Tell Carsen to update the title of the ANN Topic so it mentions Master Nodes in it, it's an eyecatcher on the ANN Topic board Wink

Carsen will update the title once MN is full tested and working, still time for everyone to get some DNR before the gold rush Wink

Denarius (DNR)  price 0.715852 USD  on coinmarketcap . so awesome while btc still down and DNR keep rising up .

with volume 24h = $6.8 K we can see all altcoins down , and DNR up

Not sure why  the price still showing strong even btc and most of the alts are falling right now, that's the reason I'm checking this thread
maybe there's any  good news coming from the team. aside from the masternode did the dev also plan to add any exchange maybe binance
will make some good addition.

I was able to get the previous wallet.dat (the one I used to send my 233 dnr), so I replace the new wallet.dat with it, so will it be ok now? Next issue could be that I sent the DNR's into the wallet when it was still synchronizing  Undecided

If you're lucky you installed your wallet.dat file in the default location (appdata) so it still may be there if you only deleted the Denarius folder.

As a rule don't send coins to a wallet that's not synched, and don't delete anything related to that wallet unless you have first backed it up and verified that the backup is functional. These rules apply to all of Crypto.
