EBT is now surpassed Fedoracoin in votes on Mintpal. At that moment about 20-25 people are voting here from Bulgaria, so I suggest you to continue with support of the coin instead weeping about prices!

What did we win and how???

our exchange openex.pw will be down for a while, so one of our trading fronts will be down.   Going to hurt us with no buy support.  I will be throwing a bit of btc on pmto to buy some at a reasonable price.   We shouldn't have to buy or sell these at 10 sats.  They should be easily valued at 20-30 sats especially since there arent billions of ebt.

I encourage people who want this coin to last to get a few buy orders up on pmtocoins to show some support.  If people dump this coin to the point where it is being bought at 1 sat we are all f*#ked

EBT is dead!

Let's see who can dump all over the exchanges first!!

I think it was sarcasm.

 Shocked

I hope it was sarcasm...

Either way...the coin is still a good concept.

lol, yes it was sarcasm...you'll notice there have been no dumps on the exchanges...

Drama brings attention.

(Also, WE WON, there is no longer a BTC donation address for EBT on Cryptsy)

And I want to add something else. EBT has almost exactly the same amount of votes with Fedoracoin on MintPal. I don't need to mention what is the meaning of that, if you look at difference between TIPS and EBT community.

Have the developers seriously given up?

The entire Dev team of EBT has not given up (i can speak to this because i am part of it) This is just a time of high tension and stress for us. We felt we where very close to getting listed on some major exchanges. We where even told that people in the cryptsy office (specifically Cryptsy Ken) Loved EBT and cant stop talking about it. Then we are blind sided by the voting (after already having to grease palms to even be considered on cryptsy). The issue lies in that we as a small niche group with a small but healthy following where issued a death sentence by the voting. We feel this way because we are not willing to throw $3000 at cryptsy just to get listed as it goes against the ethics of the majority of our Dev team. I will admit there has been some fall out in our Dev team because of this and some feel as though there is no possibility of saving this coin. I on the other hand disagree with that notion and would encourage each of you that have posted on this thread to make your voices heard. The only way we can get through to cryptsy and other exchanges that will im sure follow suit is to yell and scream at the top of our lungs that we as a community will not stand for this type of manipulation and corruption.  Don't let exchanges dictate the free market, Don't let the pockets of few dictate what you mine and trade, and Don't let the greed of one company destroy what we this community has worked so hard to build. I will say that this thread has been a breathe of fresh air to see the support that the community has given us, as well as the integrity of the people in this community. Thank  you so much for everything and i personally will make it my mission to make sure we do everything in our power to keep this coin alive.

If you think you can help or have an Idea (please no flaming or BS we don't need that right now we read the last 4 that you sent) send me a pm i would love any help you can give in keeping EBT going. We are in need of another Dev to help with updates and general health of the chain.
Sorry for the edit wanted to add a link. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5574841  please post here to show your support for the stand being made. There is also a tweet we have drafted that we would love a RT from each of you show cryptsy we wont stand for this.

premature ejac...um...premature fyi...

ebt.cryptofleamarket.com

under development, but they're only going to create markets for coins they feel have value beyond dumping or trading up to BTC.

baby momma drama between ebt and cryptsy aside, this is what we need.  it lets the community set the value of the coin, independent of BTC and trade ups.

i plan to sell slightly used socks with only 1 or 2 holes maximum for 12 EBT a pair.  I'll discount single socks where the twin was eaten by the sockmonster for 6 ebt each.

the funny thing is ..

if you now scroll through cryptsy's voteing list the one coin that sticks out and therefore gets attention is EBT because it's the only coin with a missing pay address.  Cheesy

https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes

everyone will wonder EBT?  What is EBT and why is there no link and will probabily end up in this thread Smiley

And they will see childs who are arguing. The coin has pretty nice amount of votes on MintPal and Cryptsy. Also, you are forgetting something more important atm. Have you looked at PMTOCoins lately? Their exchange now looks awesome and guess what? EBT is traded there. LazyCoins also will launch pretty soon.

Lets be realistic. EBT would have never gotten listed on Cryptsy. The coins that do have a huge amount of attention. I would rather EBT stood out in other ways, and I think it is doing that.

I don't blame the devs for the sarcasm. They're as sick of pump and dumps as everyone else. Take a look at Premine, Fckbankscoin, KlondikeCoin, Noble, Cashcoin, and ProsperCoin. These coins have good support and yes, they're not worth a fortune, but that's because they aren't pumped.

Look what's happened to Mintcoin. It will likely never reach such prices ever again, but it's got a community now.

Do you honestly want EBT to be pumped super-high, dumped, and then die off? I don't. All altcoins are suffering right now thanks to MtGox. I'm quite happy for the coin to develop slowly and actually have a future. I'm not here to dump my EBT.

I have my coins in my wallet and I'm not moving them anywhere. You didn't understand my point. All the things I've said are positive for the coin. I don't dream about Cryptsy, I just mentioned that the coin is listed there and that is getting attention.

Then I'm agreeing with you. Let everyone run in the altcoin rat race to be the next pump and dump coin. EBT will do its own thing. Better to be a coin that stands out from the crowd than another "me too" currency.

what is with the childish behavior? EBT needs to be on cryptsy and mintpal. To get on you need to vote or pay for votes. its the cost of doing business.

Since when did the exchanges dictate everything? EBT can do what it likes, and at least it still stands out from the crowd by standing against this joke of having to pay for votes.

you need exchanges for price discovery. You also need exchanges so that people can buy and sell. If the trend is to pay to get on an exchange so be it. If there is no exchange you guys will kill this coin.

Look at the coins at the top of these pay-to-votes. A load of pump-and-dump crapcoins, mostly. What do you think is going to happen with all these coins listed? Take a look at Cryptorush for a glimpse into the future of Cryptsy.

Is this really progress? A ton of crapcoins filling the pages of exchanges, with swathes of BTC going into the pockets of the exchanges, with them arbitrarily deciding when to list new coins so they can grab as much BTC as possible?

Anyone who thinks this is a good move for Altcoins is mistaken. The only winners out of this are the exchanges. Once they have their BTC they don't care if your coin ends up buried in the dust. They'll discard it with yesterday's trash and wait for the next coin to leach BTC from.

The price cryptsy is asking for votes is nothing short of extortion. You do *not* need to ask for that much BTC to gauge which coins have the most interest. In fact you don't need to pay for votes at all. All this does is kill the majority of the altcoin market and puts more control in the hands of the whales who can afford to buy votes then pump and dump their coin of choice.

We are moving towards altcoins being penny stocks.

altcoins are already like penny stocks.  a dozen coins come out a week, all pump and dump to trade up to BTC.

Until someone is willing to stand behind a coin and open up a marketplace for the coin things will never get anywhere and we'll be dependent on exchanges run by thugs.

exchanges are there to help facilitate trade. The value of a coin is determined by supply/demand, not the exchange. Its up to the community to give a coin value, not the exchange. It appears that EBT has no real developer now.

Since when? The dev team haven't abandoned EBT.  Undecided
