Isn't it the other way around?
Regardless of which is the fork (ahem....ETH, IMHO), I like the concept of immutability.
Yeh it seems he made a huge mistake in saying that. I left a comment as well:

Ethereum ETH IS in fact the hard fork, where ETC -Ethereum Classic- operates on the original chain following the original “immutable” principles. A blockchain that can be censored and edited, should not even be in the same league as other cryptocurrencies. Thats just going backwards -pun intended."
