Detailed below is the ETC Weekly Development Report, for the period September 5th through September 11th. Looking forward to hearing your opinions. Special thanks to Colibry for putting this together.
Summary of achievements:
- Offline Ethereum Classic key generator by mikeyb
- Ether Classic now an official coin type (61) for HD wallets (BIP44) by mikeyb
- Python smart contract framework started by Eric Somdahl
- Tortuga project started by Cody Burns https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1xJWMfUinieWgE38Ak3LclaN_xO29MnWqARTbFDJGk8Y/edit?usp=sharing
- Private release of Fundonomy project by Avtar Sehra and Vic Arulchandran is being tested. Currently operates with a Prefunding Contract model i.e. funds are released when target amount is raised. Next iteration will include Bounty Contracts i.e. funds are released when key deliverable goals are met.

Every time the price pulls back everyone goes into panic mode. Lots of sell pressure from those who are slowly draining their funds from the DAO and cashing out. Still some uncertainty in the markets because they aren't sure what is going on. So the ETC team is working to get the roadmap out in front of people and they are actively working now to address the difficulty bomb. So there is progress internally in ETC, it just needs to be communicated and SEEN in the market. Then things will start to change gears.
Today's prices are a bargain for anyone who has not stuck their toe in the water on ETC. I think those who are patient will be glad.

The Ethereum Foundation and the developers have also got a lot of ETC. So they might want the price high.

Actually i think price is under fake sell force to buy cheap ETC and than pump it hard at some point. Better to grab and ride the another pump which may come soon.

Old news... Those funds are frozen pending a decision what to do with them. They will not be used by the ETC community.

There will be an announcement once the details on the fork are settled. In a nutshell ETH built in an extreme difficulty mechanism to force everyone to the next HF on ETH. We inherited this difficulty bomb mechanism and it is being decided right now if we disable this difficulty bomb, or if we just move out the difficulty date.
This won't happen right away, they are still working on the details at this time. There will be an announcement so that everyone is aware when that will happen. Right now I would guess we are looking at the first part of next year.
