you forget that the forkers created this situation. etc didnt want a clone chain. the clone is the forked chain. to help out the dao. an thirdparty investment.

Whether something is a crime or not depends on jurisdiction.

But I do find it interesting that they tried to steal this thread as well. I guess it says something about the mentality.

Anyone supporting ETC by buying them is only helping a few thieves make money. Right now there are roughly 250 times more ETC being sold than orders to buy on Poloniex. Someone is pumping up ETC and that should make any buyer or miner very nervous. Someone with deep pockets or a very large investment in ETC is trying to save the ETC market by fighting the strong selling position. That's not a smart strategy unless you have a lot at stake.

The keyword here is volatility. It got pumped on Polo, difficulty will go up now as miners switch over, so if you're planning to mine don't get caught in a dump.

The ease of switching miners between the two coins (with more and more pools now supporting ETC) will make this very interesting until it settles into some sort of equilibrium.
