Anyone know what's up with the block explorer?  I have not seen it update since yesterday.

Should be ok.  Try http://stats.expanse.tech/

That one works. How about: http://www.expanse.tech/explorer/

This is the one that is behind.

Dan is moving it to a faster server. All will be well again. We are also getting two more up and running.

That's great.  I solo expanse and watch the block explorer as confirmation that my node is synced properly.  Thanks!

The expanse blocktime keeps our chain from going off on random tangents every 10 seconds too. So you can rest assured that your mining is valid.

Considering there was first ETH and then ETC, why would folks complain about premine when they willingly take the risk and buy into it?

How is the percentage of the premine?

11 million coins. You do the math. They don't want to call it a premine in the OP while it is in fact.

Reserve: 11 Million (Community Managed) = Premine

It was certainly reserved as the 10 million has not been touched, and it was planned to sit there for at least a year rather than be "dumped" like a premine. Of course it is the same thing technically, and I assumed that was obvious enough for anyone that had ever traded anything. Funny enough, others starting using "reserve" later, and I am to blame for using that term. What is the difference though? We had no ICO and this was a somewhat unique way to deal with funding. We covered expenses early on, asked for no outside money, and avoided all the very serious future legal problems of ICOs (trust me, they will be coming), and grew the project with work over time.

There are teams out there forking Blackcoin and raising 1000 BTC, or forking something totally dead and raising 15 million. We could have easily done something like that if we were the bad guys, but we are actually honest and wanted to grow the project with our community. Rather than start at the top like many ICOs and struggle to stay there, we started at the bottom and have been working our way up. People can disagree with our strategy, I am ok with that, but it has been working, and more news will be coming soon to demonstrate just that. Smiley

Way to go James..

Useless coins raise like 5000-10,000 BTC or more. Apart from that, they also hold 15m or more of their own tokens
Both an ICO as well as Premine. That's why many scamcoins have lots of marketcap over 10million dollars.

While EXP did nothing and they're doing a great job.

Our MCap is only 1.5m USD and we have lots of room to grow, fraction of ETH or ETC market cap will slingshot us hard to over 1,000,000 sat price range.

Looking forward to great developments from the team

All the best EXP community and devs.

I'm tying to mine expanse with a 25 MHs GPU.
All work fine, just a question : online calculators (https://bitmakler.net/Expanse___mining) tell me that with my 25 MHs GPU I will have only 0,00000001 EXP at the end of the day !!!

There is a mistake here : what is your profitability experience with Expanse and a 25 MHs GPU ?
Is your profitability usually better with Expanse or Ethereum (I know that difficulties varies a lot...) ?

Thank you :-).

@devs.

Would EXP be vulnerable to something like this?  False coins being sent that never receive confirmation.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIPEpp3WhT4

I think any coin is subject to this, but as for a vulnerability not so much, unless it can fake a confirm then the transaction will never get anywhere and will eventually be rejected by the chain. (although there is clients of other coins out there that like to add your unconfirmed total to your balance at first rec, so this type of block faker could jack a lot of other coins wallets)
