in my opinion buy an ssd, the days you will lose trying and experimenting... trying to make a mining rig... doesnt worth it.

a 64gb ssd disk costs 25 euro used.. so its pretty decent price.

I've setup a x11, scrypt mining rig before using a usb flash drive. Just make sure you have enough space and that its usb 3.0

Hello, I just assembled my mining rig, but since I'm quite new to Linux (just a really basic Raspberry Pi 2 experience), I don't know how to install the sofwares to mine. If someone is able to help before tonight, I'll give him the half of what I will mine the first day Wink !

Hi,

Im using ethminer, the same miner i use to mine ethereum, this is how i install the miner :
https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/2695/frontier-mining-setup-notes-ubuntu-15-04-geth-v1-0-amd-ethminer
EDIT : just no.1  and no.2, then install the Exp wallet instead and create wallet address.

atm I  mining in pool atm which is suprnova :
https://exp.suprnova.cc/

Thank you for this precious help, I'll follow this guide Wink ! But tell me, I use a bootable USB key, and do I need to "install Linux" (I don't know how it is possible since I do not have any HDD, but however that's still proposed to me by the boot software) can I stay as it ?

when i mining Ether, i once try linux with usb-persistent, the DAG file soon fill up so i think you need harddisk.

EDIT :  or bigger flashdisk / have it link it to other flashdisk to hold the DAG. i didnt try it, i buy a used harddisk instead

First asset based on Expanse blockchain! on bittrex now!

Wow! Thanks for the info. It looks awesome.

That looks awesome. Being the first asset based on EXP, makes me think that we could expect to see more assets within the EXP blockchain in the near future. In fact, I think that the future will be the creation of smart contracts or coins within the ETH or EXP blockchain without the need to fork from BTC. This is the next big thing.  Smiley

For miners getting error: not enough space on disk.

Delete your old dag files in Users/appdata/you/ethash.

still no NVIDIA.bat appear on desktop with reinstall
have installed C++

?

Thanks - I will try those

Cheers - usukan

anyone used this "all-in-one" miner yet?

https://github.com/nrpatten/EXP_All_In_One

all in one mining set up for EXP (From NRpatten)

It keeps reporting a missing .dll file and its missing the NVIDIA .bat on my desktop - and I am NVIDIA GPU?

so it don't work for me.....

Thanks

Its more profitable mine eth, and then buy exp, mining is not that profitable.

But the Ethereum price has dropped recently. Is it still better to mine eth and sell for expanse?
ethereum diff high but in 24h it still gives more btc then expanse....
expanse its a great coin if dev could make the coin give more btc 24h that ethereum...then everybody would be mining it and trading....
just do the math....more btc in return = more people using it...
I would be one of the first to live eth for exp...

Here is an EXP profit mining calculator, on average EXP has been better profit for mining over time, but ETH has been better lately. This might help some people check what is best at any given time.

Use the installer @ https://github.com/nrpatten/EXP_All_In_One/releases/download/v0.1.0.1/EXP.All.In.One.x64.exe

And the missing DLL is MSVCR120.dll  download or reinstall https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=40784
