May I suggest switching to same algo as ZEN or XMR and going a similar way? If you lack skills and knowledge on running servers and securing communications, - let me know.
Not sure about the algo. Personally I think that "pure anon" digital currencies will face some issues in near future. Same goes to ETH-based tokens/coins. I am confident that they have bright future, but I'm not confident if they will not have more failures. We would prefer to have a working coin with
proven technology, because this is one of the things that it matters the most - to work.
Best approach on this for you would be to start the new coin from scratch in the new algo, introduce the features like masternodes and secure nodes, maybe even delegated nodes alongside that, then do an airdrop of that coin only to failcoin holders representing either the exact same amount of coins as their fail wallet or an agreed percentage of the fail holdings.
I think that's our biggest issue now - how to approach with this. Starting from scratch and introducing features is the "easy" part. How to reimburse current FAIL holders and meanwhile build confidence in our new investors, is a hard one. We are well aware that we have a small group of people and we can "easily" say "Well guys, I'm sorry for you, but we need a fresh start" (translated to: F* off, we can't continue this way), but this is not who we are. It doesn't matter if we have 3-5-10 people (apart from the team) who are following our "progress", what matters is that they are still here, even though we haven't delivered for quite a while. You can't buy this with money and they have our
full respect!
If you make sure the specs of the coin are not over the top, this will bring a new life to the community.
Hit me up - I am interested in helping you put at least the idea together.
Not sure what you mean with "over the top". As I said we want to deliver something proven. As we Bulgarians like to say - "There's no need to invent the hot water". There are already tons of people who are working on digital currencies and we can use what they have delivered so far + adding our own unique features, which most likely will be within our wallet. Apart from this - any help is appreciated, but personally I prefer to have closer communications with people involved in the project, so feel free to discuss this in details via chat, mail, social medias etc...
P.S. None of the above will work if you don't rebrand either. No business is going to take the name seriously at this day and age in the crypto world
That's out of the question!
Well, maybe we can think of changing the name of the coin itself and use some synonym, but developing it as FAILCommunity stays. When we deliver our "whitepaper" (this would be more like explanations of our visions, not some technical details of the coin) people will understand us better. I do realize that we need more than this, because many of them will just avoid us after only seeing the name, but we'll try to make them think about the usage FAIL can have.
Cheers,
Spartak
