Can we start a new thread on here instead?

A new thread will be started when the new client is ready for release and when we are ready to talk about plans for the future.

I always found FLT very interesting but unfortunately the price just falls. Are there any plans to draw more attention to FLT and how do you do that?
kind regards

Plans are being brainstormed by the community, at the moment.

For BTC 0.10 I can setup a block explorer with rich list that detects PoT blocks in a clean overview.
Just like PoB with Slimcoin. Example : http://blockexperts.com/slm

PM me if you are interested.

Great block explorer!

Still fighting a silent war, so I cannot be a part of FLT - but you can blame fernand0x for all of this - for threats against me etc. and ultimately my quiting.  He cost me and a few others a great deal of money (near 30K).  But its water under the bridge.  Lesson learned.  Crypto is a fools game if you can't afford to lose.

This is what I posted to this clown in reponse to his QTM hidden block nonsense in  thread here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/quantum-qtm-moved-to-new-thread-593438

My reponse:

Quote
1) there is/was no hidden block
2) there can only be 1000 blocks @ 10K each - hence 10 million coins, hence any "hidden block" would be nullified as again - there can only be 1000 mined blocks PoW
3) main.h is correct - 10,000,000 * COIN is the max money
4) your taling about things that you don't understand - util.h is telling us the value for display of the coin - hence instead of doing something like 100 * 1000000 to convert an int64 as 100 instead you multiply 100 * COIN (which has a value of 1000000) hence max QTM IS SUPPOSED TO BE 10000000000000 expressed as int64 DUMBASS

You started all this BS based on stupidity and non-understanding of the code - you actually had them abandon QTM and move to QTM2???

Also you are reading the transactions wrong and you don't understand how POS transactions are formatted, and you obviously have no idea how to read as the block you are saying had 10,010,000 QTM in it has 10K in it an likely a test of 10 QTM while I was mining it.

WTF would be the point of mining all these coins? The market could never sustain it.

And finally - if one runs getinfo in the old QTM client - there is LESS THAN 10 million coins because of transaction fees that needed to be paid to ensure large transactions I sent to the QTM team were not delayed - I had many issues with this client and blew the original wallet up and likely lost a modest ammount of coins in the process (thousands)

This though speaks volumes as to the QTM team if you guys didn't see this was incorrect what this guy was saying.

DO NOT make accusations based on stupidy - PLEASE.

You are likely the cause of the FLT threats etc sent to me so likely you are also responsible for me quiting FLT.

Job well done Sherlock!

I can get a list off my node in a little while, or you can addnode=54.84.46.196 as well.

Snapshot of my wallet, yesterday I had my coins over 30 days.
Do I have to wait 198 days for the 30 days reward?

how many coins are you staking?  you must have some small blocks of coins staking, like 10 or 20?  they will take a very long time being that its so few.  I recommend when it drops below 1000 or 500, roll them up in to a bigger stack.  Options -> Display -> enable coin control.  grab those tiny blocks, check them off, then send them to an address, it will roll them up, it will reset coin age on them, but should help them stake faster.  Otherwise it will take awhile.

going to post this out for the guys that know how to compile from source, or gitian, I haven't had the time to work through the howto guide on how to build for windows yet on a spare machine at home.

I have a client with some pot adjustment to only check inbound PoT blocks for PoT security (it was checking regular blocks for PoT too, not sure this was intended), new seed nodes, new checkpoint (97660, needs to be higher now), a sync height check (97000 gets past older forks).

But if you want to compile and test this...let me know what happens when you sync up.  I expect you will get one of the two chains at the moment, I could easily move sync height to adjust above it, but curious if this will sync up properly.
https://github.com/ofeefee/fluttercoin  this was forked off kidcoin's code and as minimal changes as possible. To be added is new alert and checkpoint keys

edit: seed nodes are not up yet, fluttercointalk.com is being used, it transfers to community control tomorrow Smiley

I compiled new wallet from your sources under ubuntu 14.04.
But wallet stuck on block 99928.
Is there some new list of nodes or?
Can you help me someone?

Thanks

if you compile latest commit, in fluttercoin.conf, seednode=54.84.46.196, see if that syncs up properly, should be all that you need.

Or you may need to addnode with 184.38.1.230, 174.108.114.5 possibly, only like 3 or 4 nodes with the latest build running tests.  I just staked on new version as well.

Unable to sign alert, check private key?
(code -1)

If you use the private key generated by makekeypair, it stops saying :
Unable to sign alert, check private key?
(code -1)

, and starts saying :
Failed to process alert.
(code -1)

This is as far as I got. The sendalert /? mentions needing the "alert master private key". Is this different than a regular private key?

I have this working now in the new commit I posted last night..

My new test code is up at https://github.com/ofeefee/fluttercoin, running it on AWS and mining a little FLT with the Dualminers just to test everything.  I added an alert key update to it.  I still can't figure out how to send them with the private key that matches, oh well, one day someone will laugh and say dumbass this is how you do that!

Note that the code only syncs with peers with block heights over 97k, and I have a hard checkpoint at 97660, which does mean you could hit some of the peers that were on the fork from other night.  Remember to check http://chainz.cryptoid.info/flt/ (we are monitoring this pretty regularly to see how the network is doing) and continue to use posted build with the nodes.  If any questions, just ask, lots of people helping out.

edit:  this code has a new alert key, you will see CAlert messages in debug.log.  I have monitored it on my end and you only warn when a client sends an alert and add a 10 point penalty to misbehaving, it does not appear to be accumulating.  I was going to build some code to handle this, but client already takes this into account.  This will minimize once we release the new version officially. no eta as far as i know.

Speaking of help -- if someone has gitian already configured and tested, can you shoot me a windows-qt build.  If not, should have this ready in a few days.  Family is in this weekend though, so maybe Monday/Tuesday at latest.  Need to review checkpoint code and update the key associated with that for auto checkpoint.

If you ever wanted to get more hands on with crypto, give soltantgris a PM for the Skype group.

Lots of ways to help out.  For instance, I want some FLT stickers, and some temporary tattoos for my daughter.  Will pay in FLT of course!  Tongue

Code is updated with new alert keys and a new checkpoint key, building this code will reset sync checkpoints that were broadcast earlier and revert back to a hard checkpoint.  so it cancels the 70k something one, and you pickup the 97660k one.  Also, when I enable a node to use the checkpoint key, it will distribute dynamic sync checkpoints as intended.

I have some things to discuss with TeamFLT about some other things going forward.

Good night to all, things about to get real!
