Sent it to the devs, they compiled it with the new image:

Sweeeeet! Thanks. I'll give you more files of it and the llF at various common sizes so it can be crispy when small.

I'm also on a mac and unafraid of compiling, though I've never built a wallet. I'll see if i can build an established wallet.

Also looking for new logo.

I like foxes. As such, you just got OUTFOXED.

I've styled foxcoin as llF, which is typeable, and seems to give the impression of slashes thru a letter a la $ & BTC.

And isn't the Franko F Wink

Bounty me, baby?

@Pythonideus
You will be rewarded the 5,000 FOX bounty for being the first pool.

@Thom
I didn't list that as a bounty, but I'll put you down for 2,500 FOX.

Updating OP now...

EDIT: Updated OP with new logo, ledger and pool.

HACKSHARD FOXCOIN POOL
Pre-Registration available now!

http://fox.hackshard.com/
stratum+tcp://pool.us.hackshard.com
3340
./cgminer --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://pool.us.hackshard.com:3340 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password

If you want a reliable pool with a good history and quick support team, HackShard is the pool for you. We are quick to set up pools for new coins and have an excellent record of pool management, performance, and support. If you need any help you can join #hackshardgaming on irc.freenode.net(which the website will automatically connect you to via an IRC box at the bottom of the page). Please use the IRC channel when you need support as we almost always have someone in there. If you don't get an immediate response, include the username of a channel op in your message; when you do this, we hear a notification and will check the channel ASAP.

If you do not want to see the IRC box, you can either click the "DISABLE CHAT" button or add '/index.php' to the end of the url.

Please ignore the "Network Hashrate" statistic: We had to connect the pool to a wallet to make it work.

One more thing "All FoxCoins will be mined within 282 Years" seems a bit excessive
The whole 282 year thing is something I can't quite completely get my head around. But the jist of it is that to prevent pump and dumping the initial block reward is proportionally lower then the max coins then most other coins. For example, 500,000 DOGE goes into 100 Billion 200,000 times, 50 BTC goes into 21 Million 420,000 times whereas 250 FOX goes in 1 billion 4,000,000 times. This is to make sure the early adopters don't get this massive advantage over the masses who get in 1 month or a year late.

282 Years? The devs are aiming for a long lasting currency I guess. They want to keep a stable rate of inflation for a while before the coin inevitably reaches its limit. I agree it's a bit long, but then again I'm not an expert on this stuff, I guess I'll talk to the devs about it, I'll get back to you!

And yeah, the gravity well feature is to prevent just that, Silverwolf.

Also, seriously, what DOES the fox say?

Your input is all appreciated and suggestions are wanted.

Heres the thing if you market it correctly and provide enough pools then the early adopters are the people who will make your coin succeed not the stragglers who come in a month later. One thing that will make a coin not succeed is it being no fun to the miners i.e. small rewards split amongst many the miner ends up having not enough shares to make them want to mine anymore when they can go mine doge or other alts that have a huge block reward and can be paid out on an exchange immediately.

Just saying look at the other coins that have had low block rewards not many succeed in the scrypt world.

Watch their initial history huge hashing power to start then ohh im not getting enough coins hashing power drops = dead

baconbits is a great example of this.

You are creating an alt currency make it that. Trying to create something that will have a value over .00001 satoshi days are over especially when its called foxcoin. Make it fun hit high rewards let the end users / miners experience the thrill of having a good sized amount in their wallet.

I am not trying to beat your coin down either i like it you guys seems legit and the coin looks fun.

I really appreciate your suggestion, I will speak to the devs about this. (Also, any suggestions regarding changing the block rewards would be appreciated)

Dev update: They finished testing via testnet. It seems the coin is stable and the block reward decreases as expected. I finished writing the tutorials and they have been fully implemented. We are looking for suggestions and have placed a 500 fox bounty on suggestions that will be implemented to the wallet. (We have decided to go with the 25,000 FOX premine)

25,000 coins fine understand you need some for bounties etc etc and the network can catch up relatively quick no premine is stupid for you as the creators but being greedy like other coins will kill it.

Astrophotographer and Ham Radioist!
Fuxxycoin is Fuxxy ^^ This looks good. Especially with the "Gravity Well" feature to scare off Multipools from ruining your coin. I'll give it a go, once it's out. I also think that a small premine for rewards is really feasible!

Are you planing on any fox-related services for this coin OP?
