Anybody seeing an error when withdrawing from Cryptopia? Says its not a valid Gun Address. The address all weirdly start with "1111111111111111111111....". Is that normal?

I just logged into Cryptopia and saw no issues - is it your GUN address in your wallet?  That means you loaded V1.2 running Linux and did not follow all the instructions from Bushstar.  Might look at my notes from earlier or PM him for help.  I had an existing wallet there, so maybe that is why mine worked.

Thanks Smiley. Don't worry, I don't have that much hashing power (unfortunately) ^^.

Hope to see you on https://miner-control.de Wink

Good news on Cryptopia today.  GUN has been up over 35% with over 500K in trading volume in the past 24 hours.....It appears V1.2 and our path forward is gaining popularity.....Retweets from a few followers with over 10K followers of their own probably helped some too!

Looks like Cryptopia has made this coin more popular again. Let's see whether I can get some hashing power towards this coin Smiley

Yes, that will be great - but do not overdo it.  Last week, we had an autoswitch pool put 500 miners on us and our hashrate jumped way up to almost 2.4 GHz.  However, the more the merrier - in moderation.  Our recent upgrade and upcoming phased releases are helping as well.  The plan is to have a very safe, secure and stable coin with a mobile wallet with a 6-8 weeks.  Welcome aboard!

Hi, I invite everyone to participate in new Neoscrypt miner betatest, most hashing improvements are for GDDR5X memory cards (1080/1080Ti-seires), but 1060 and 1070 experience speedup too.

I've reverted the change to the Base58 prefixes as it creates more problems than it solves. For those who had problems with Guncoin addresses starting with many 1s please pull, make clean and try the compiled binary again, it will create addresses as normal now.

Very good - thanks so much for the update and all the work so far BushStar - we really appreciate your support!

The issue where the wallet has lots of preceeding 1s in the addresses is due to the change here introduced in chainparams.cpp.

https://github.com/guncoin/guncoin/commit/1c1dd230b387631d8f2063326d97bffac59301bb#diff-64cbe1ad5465e13bc59ee8bb6f3de2e7

This was due to compilation issues with newer versions of Boost, if you are having problems with 1s before addresses please revert the changes to chainparams.cpp, the Bitcoin commit for this change is shown below.

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/commit/a2b04ddfe6452e7d6274f4096bf3f2aee695a6d9#diff-64cbe1ad5465e13bc59ee8bb6f3de2e7

This issue does not effect the Bitcoin codebase 0.10 and later and it may be advantageous to move to that codebase before moving to a much newer codebase to allow people to upgrade without problems. Version 1.1 rules out the possibility of using soft forks due to it only allowing blocks with version number 2 so the 1.2 release acts as a bridge, when a soft fork using a different version number happens it will act as a hard fork to the 1.1 clients which means we need people to upgrade before we can make any major changes to the network.

That is awesome news.

I was wondering what may be some other ideas/avenues to help get the word out.

Any advertising ideas out there?

Well, yes, the Twitter heavy hitters sure managed to cause a spike in our volume for sure - they just retweeted our earlier tweets.

It might not hurt to run the cpu mining option in your wallets.
I got lucky and found two blocks earlier, even one when the hash rate was astronomical Smiley

Yes, at this point, it is very important that we get everyone on V1.2.  We are holding up progress on V1.3 as a result of the slow transition by about half of the group.  While we can proceed with V1.3, it will be a hard fork to V1.1 users who will have issues after we switch.  I would rather not do that.  V1.3 will only be a soft fork to V1.2 users.

If we do not get a solid majority soon, this will force a V1.3 and V1.3a or V1.4 which will take longer and cost more to do.  Keep in mind, we have the mobile wallet on hold pending getting all these upgrades complete.  Additionally, we have another exchange on standby awaiting the newer V1.3.  So the sooner we get everyone moving on V.1.2, we can get the next series of upgrades launched and completed and get our mobile wallets in vendors' hands.  All of that should have a very positive effect on our trading price on one or more exchanges.....Please spread the word.
